honestly, I don't connect with the art communities online for the reason that a lot of them suck for one reason or another. They all feel like they're achieving the opposite goal that most of them intend to achieve; which is a safe space and a comfy environment to share art while supporting other artists, no matter background, race/ethnicity, orientation (gender or otherwise), or even something as unimportant as medium preference. yet I get people all the time talking about how "working with this medium is unprofessional and/or childish" or literally even people outright saying one person is "lame" because they do trad art vs. digital and vice versa. its insane. As a note Jack is a victim and didn’t revoke consent later, he had at points told Synni to stop and was ignored in favor of Synni believing it was a joke. Some touching was consensual other touching was not.

We are working on that. The issue is that the combination of robotics with AI and creating a GENERALIZED AI, which is necessary for those kinds of indeterminists and stochastic tasks, is significantly significantly harder than just a generative ai with simple inputs and outputs. So of course, the easier step comes first in the development process.
It may seem ethical at first, but when AI gets intelligent enough to start acting like individuals, would reliance on physical chores really be that ethical?
26:25 hey Luis, just wanted to point out here that grooming isn't exclusively adults on children, and it has had cases of child on child grooming as well. grooming can be unintentional or intentional. as someone who was groomed by another minor into doing things for them, i do think its important to make this distinction that instead of explicitly adults, its a person with some sort of power over another. be it an adult on child, emotionally important child on child ect. age does play a factor but you *can* be groomed by people younger than you as well, as long as they have some sort of power over the other. saying its exclusively adults makes people believe that COCSA is not valid, which is already a problem we face.

About the part where jack talks about being sexually assaulted by Synni, Jack was talking about how Synni would poke him in inappropriate places without his consent,And also about how Synni would make sexual Comments about jack. Jack told Synni to stop multiple times but she continued. Also Jack didn’t “Revoke his consent after it happened” Jack only consented because he didn’t know how friends are supposed to act with each other, and now that he knows that Synni’s behavior towards him wasn’t right, he recognizes that friends don’t break each other’s boundaries even after being told to stop.
While I agree with you for the most part, you really missed the mark when talking about Jack. There’s a lot you missed/misunderstood. Jack DID offer his extra gofundme money to the victim, Jack never revoked his consent- he was coerced or never gave it, Jack has a long history of abuse in many forms, and is too disabled to work and relied on Synni and social security.
on the "jack living off of synni" part, jack was on ssi ( i believe thats what that is? ) and he would pay rent to synni when possible, but the office changed his address and started forwarding the money to jack's parents so he had no income due to that i remember him stating that "any extra donation money in the gofundme would go towards the victim" and the reason jack needs that much money is because he cannot work a physical job due to his mental illnesses and i think a physical disability, so im assuming he would need that so he could afford a place to stay for a while so no, jack was not living off of synni for a while

I somewhat disagree with one of your gripes about jacks response. Jack said in his video he often felt pressured or coerced into consenting to certain sexual actions, he has a long history of abuse and struggles to advocate for what he wants, and while it is on him to get better at that, synni making him feel pressured into consent is on her, its a very nuanced topic so i can see the flip flop in it but i think jack is right to feel violated by some of her actions towards him. Overall will never really know what did happen but i all around hope jack is okay.

I get this but at the same time, Synni isn’t a mind reader(and also autistic) so she would’ve had a harder time with understanding where the boundaries Jack has are. His family, according to him, are very abusive, and he was put into multiple situations where his home life was terrible either due to the family or due to living in a shelter that put him into a terrible place where his mental health had him in a state that was barely functional. So to be fair, it’s not just homing costs but also support for getting food and the such until he can figure something out.

I don’t think anyone would really think to check someone’s channel explaining their traumas and overall updating on life events, so I feel there is some leeway, but it’s definitely something to take into account since it’s important to understanding why Jack was so rash with getting a video out and seeking help. Especially because if I remember right, Synni has started showing unsafe behaviors around Jack now? With his traumas, and the circumstances, he’s been dealt a hard hand to work with, so I think Jack does have a reasonable explanation for the mistakes (mental health isn’t easy to work with after all, and feeling unsafe can make someone rash and irrational sometimes while trying to get to saftey), especially since they’ve been shown to have made apologies and accepted his mistakes in another commentary youtuber’s video on the situation.
10k isn't going to get him very far and if he can't work at all then he's kinda screwed. 32:08 i just want to mention that Jack is disabled and CANNOT work, and Synni is a predator that preyed on a minor, which Jack has experienced himself. this is a big betray of trust and i feel like if i was in that situation, i'd want to get out of there too. being unable to work makes that difficult, and on top of that, his support needs were cut off before this situation happened and he'd been trying to get them back for ages, but with no luck. he has no family to support him, as they are abusive, and while yes, none of the money went to the victim, jack needed to get out of there and be safe. Synni was threatening violence, and in her response video you can feel that she's VERY agressive towards him, which isn't necessarily evidence, but you'd think she'd be calm about it and adress it in a normal manner instead of name dropping people, and bad mouth jack, almost barely even adressing the actual allegations that she'd groomed a minor. also on Jack's twitter there's a specific instance where he recounts/draws a vent about SA that he DID NOT CONSENT TO. plus, the reason why he doesn't show any evidence is because the topics withing the google docs are extremely triggering to him, which is valid. while i am from the art community and i could possibly be biased, Jack deserves to be safe, he is special needs and inflation sucks ass, and he might need money to start up and live comfortably. not hating on the video! just discussing :]
Regarding "revoking consent," that..... isn't a weird thing for a victim to do. In the moment, you sometimes think that you're giving consent and that you have agency. The thing about looking back on situations is that you have hindsight. If abuse is all you've known and you feel pressured, then you lose no matter what. I think it's really unfair to say that about Jack when he's valid. My experience is that I looked back at what happened to me, and with new knowledge I as a literal child didn't have, I realized that I was abused.
the worst part is the fact that Jack didn't even revoke his consent. Both Jack and Synni, in their respective videos about the drama, talked about how Jack would say no or scream when he felt uncomfortable with Synni's behavior. Louis didn't properly research either video and that's why he is misrepresenting what happened and saying that Jack "revoked consent"
Anout the synni touching jack without consent, jack talks about how he didnt like stuff synni did and she kept doing it anyway, she wouldnt stop even when he said no or yelled about it. So she did indeed touch him inappropriately without his consent!
Also the money he was raising was to get out of the house and he cant get a job due to disabilities, so money for a down payment, rent, utilities, food, help moving all his stuff. It makes sense he needed a good amount of money to get out.

respectfully, i have to disagree with the gripes against jack’s decision to start the gofundme. you hadn’t mentioned in the video why he decided to start it in the first place, so to sum it up, jack began raising money to move out of synni’s apartment and support him for the time being, as jack is unable to work due to his disabilities and has no other source of income. he cannot rely on his family for support due to their abusive nature, and is no longer receiving health benefits, so i can fully sympathize with why he would want to leave given the violation of trust due to the allegations that had come out about his roommate and discomfort he’d experienced living there.

birdie while yes was a bit tone deaf, i do NOT think they are lying about the SA allegations, as they have said that the reason they consented (btw in some moments they DIDNT consent which is straight up sa) it was out of pressure or lack of knowledge about the sexual implications, meaning that they were not given the full details as to what they consented to. synni also would knowingly goon while birdie was both in the room and even CUDDLING with them, which is A CRIMEEE. the reason birdie had the go-fund-me and was desperate is due to past trauma with grooming, and as someone who also has a lot of trauma revolving around that i 100% them wanting to run away as fast as possible, as they clearly didnt feel safe with synni.

Please PLEASE watch videos on Jack's story and you'll understand why he needed that money to get away from a person who he thought and IS horrible..he's endured a lot and he needed to get out of all the abuse he has suffered - he's COMPLETELY justified to get money from this situation, even if he wasn't the child thats the main victim. Sure, it would have been nice to give some money to the victim for all that they've been through, but jack could have DIED if he didn't get that money and he HAD to look out for himself.

Hi hello ,i'm also an artist(used to associate myself with the art community )but then i saw that it's a pile of controversies (and someone framed me of stealing art of a dead person )and decided to just do art for myself and not caring for views and likes and what not ,don't be afraid of commissions, do some research before you do though ,and have fun while you're at it ,stuff like this happen alot more than you'd think but like ,they don't control your enjoyment of art okey?some ppl init that have worked in the professional field have really amazing advices ,and i recommended watching them instead of artists that discourage ppl from drawing what they like 👌
Idk I feel like it depends on the side you’re on. I’ve never heard of anything like this. Every art post is fun and the people I chat with are engaging. I keep hearing all this stuff saying the art community and yet many people are getting another POV. This type of stuff is confusing. Maybe it’s not a bad community, but there are people who should be in the community.
like a few othe people im here to comment on his depiction of jack. does this man know that what jack did was most likely the fawn response? doing everything a predetor asks of you and trying to fulfill their expectation do get out of the situation safe as soon as possible. as an exaple, youre being robbed and just give the attacker all your money so the situation is over as soon as possible and they dont attack you violently, or to do anything a s3xual predetor wants. this is a valid issue and does not contredict the SA. these responses (fight, flight, freeze and fawn) are subconcious and might be noticed just later on. taking back consent is 100% valid if the consent was never truly there to begin with, for whatever reason.

THIS ^^ respectfully I felt like this entire subsection of the synni situation was very much generalized in the video. jack did mention explicitly that while he consented to some things, he didn’t consent to everything. synni also mentions in her response video that she also had a tendency to ask for consent only AFTER she had touched jack in an inappropriate manner. jack wasn’t comfortable a lot of the time with these interactions, but as mentioned in his video, a lot of these things had been very normalized for him given the unsafe environments and online spaces he grew up in.

I’m a little concerned with the “someone’s watching you- well I don’t know that, but neither do you if you don’t have today’s sponsor” part. Many people (including myself) struggle with mental health disorders that heavily feature paranoia as a symptom. I do my best to avoid content that triggers those symptoms for me, so it was a little shocking to be hit with that out of the blue. While I think internet safety is super important, wording your message like that can be really damaging to viewers with mental health issues. It also has a high potential to be manipulative considering the call to action involves making a purchase. If you could consider changing your wording in future ad reads that would be really appreciated.

I mean like, I personally dealt with feeling triggered before I returned to make my comment so I could be sure I wasn’t responding unfairly. That all being said, that doesn’t mean creators shouldn’t do their best to avoid causing harm *unintentionally*. The ad read could have easily been done without implying that you are in danger if you don’t purchase the product he’s selling. There was a way to do this whole thing that didn’t enter that territory at all. Jack has to pay for medical fees, this is split into multiple things like his meds, possible examinations and physical therapy depending on what he does. Like also paying for aids would be a thing too. With the cats he'd also have to pay for vet bills, but considering a friend of his by now has ownership of one of the cats(Synni and Jack agreed to this from what I've seen stated) so it is a factor removed- Then theres public transport, unless he can get a friend to do so, and he cant go walking around as he has stated in his 'I'm back video'' that he cannot exert himself like the normal person due to chronic anemia, a condition which in his case i think he stated is the heart condition one- since there are different types as far as I know. Ontop of that he needs to pay for utility, food, and also while trying to get a house for himself. I get that maybe he should give it to the victim who was groomed, but maybe consider this, how do we know Eno would receive it or even be able to keep it(like what of their parents just took it? what then)? What would Eno even do with the funds provided? And would Eno even have the means to be able to recieve the funds like a paypal? A bank account? because like it depends on the parents, but sometimes kids dont even get a bank account around that age I merely got mine to do homeschooling for like math, so Eno might not even be able to GET the money if Jack could split it. Just some food for thought. Jack has definitely done some weird things though, but a lot of people are using this as a way to say that he's done worse things he's stated and shown hasn't happened. They also use old screenshots (from 4 almost 5 years ago now) to claim he's racist still, etc. I really hope he addresses it (like it really needs to be addressed…), because the internet has really just- dogpiled him for years SINCE HE WAS A KID.
Just a note on Kooleen, she didn't *specifically* call people with dark skin "gorillas" but instead those with more traditionally black skinned features, such as an more forward pushed jaw (I don't know any better way to say that sorry). She also had the problem of drawing everyone as Asian, as bascially every single one of her "characters" looked the exact same. Not defending her, but just wanted to point out that she was never that straightforward.
I understand drawing everyone as the race you are because since when I learned how to draw I was a white female so mainly what I draw is white females now I understand how this is problematic but I kinda understand

The main problem with Kooleen is that when she was asked to critique art of people with traditionally Black features she decided to practically erase all of those racial traits in her "fixed version." Additionally her art tutorials would specifically include traditionally Black Features as examples of what not to do in your art. It's not a problem to just draw people who look like you if that's what you're familiar with, but insulting other features or erasing ethnic features from a character that has them is one.
I would argue that what synni was doing does qualify as gr**ming regardless of if the final outcome did or didn't come to pass. By engaging in s3xval conversations with a minor as an adult she's priming them to believe that these kinds of conversations and boundary crossing with an adult is okay and normal. Just because she didn't end up touching anyone doesn't mean abvse wasn't happening. exually harassing a minor is abusive, sending a minor exual content and images is abvsive (also I'm pretty sure deliberately sending or exposing a minor to prawn as an adult is also illegal). Especially because usually these types of people interact online, not just because it's more discreet and easy to hide, but also with the goal of getting pics, which is outright illegal. Convincing a minor that an adult engaging with them exually in any context verbal, physical, digital, whatever, is priming them to think abvse is okay and normal regardless of if Synni was the one to go on to do it.

with the ai stuff i believe i understand ai a little more than most do, ai will never be able to make art coz ai just predicts what colours should be where its just very good at it, and it will never be able to make art or really do anything crazy like people say it will be able to do. but the important thing is that loser capitalist losers will use whatever ai comes up with to avoid paying artists, which is the problem. to be clear i have no problem with using ai in art as long as you use it as a tool just like a paint brush, and remember its not an artist you are, and imo putting in a prompt does not have enough control over the ai model to count as your art, coz its just predictions like chatgpt and other ais.
I have a problem with people getting onto Jack about his GoFundMe: like...what the hell did you guys want bro to do?? he had no way to get out of Synni's apartment without funds. people told him to make a GoFundMe, Jack does and other TH-camrs promote it for him when he said he made it, Jack gets funds to get away from Synni and be safe, then people start complaining about his GoFundMe like they didn't tell him to make it and act like he begged them to donate when they didn't have to..so how is it Jack's fault he did what others told him to do? ya'll just wanted him to stay with a weirdo or something? and Jack wanted to give half of what was donated to him to Eno but they didn't want it.
gonna point out that jack started the gofundme because he was LIVING with synni at the time of what everything happened and im pretty sure she threatened violence against him. he was raising money so he could move out + so he could stay on his antidepressants and antipsychotics.
I had a few problems with this video, but the rest overall is fine, but I have some issues I’m friends with Soph who is in contact with Jack, and she’s been told that Jack has given some of the money he got to the minor, he hasn’t kept it all to himself but he does need it so he can get away from Synni. My next problem is with Nondi. They didn’t go by any or they/them pronouns while this whole thing happened, she came out about it when she posted the courtroom video. Lastly, I don’t like how you said what you said about Jack and consent, that was weird I didn’t like it. And Louis if you didn’t know he hasn’t been taught what touching was bad and good and Synni used that to her advantage.

Jack was her roommate and is disabled to the point he can't even get a job. Synni knew this and agreed to take him in as to help him get out of an abusive household from his parents. She knew Jack couldn't work, was disabled, and will need to be taken care of. In a recording in his response video where he confronted Synni about the grooming. He mentioned the time he told her no, but she thought he was joking. The GoFundMe was to help him move out and get away from Synni as she said she wanted to kill him about 4 times and even joked about crashing the car she was driving while Jack was in it. And the Oc Synni drew nsfw of belongs to a minor, said minor told her to stop, Synni said she would but kept doing it which resulted in her getting blocked. Synni saying she doesn't care on how the minor felt as it's the internet, therefore the minor has no control over their own oc on who makes nsfw on it or not as it's on the internet. In Synni's video (Not the deleted one) she keeps throwing Jack under the bus, on how hard it is to take care of even despite knowing and agreeing to take care of him with his disabilities. Jack got cut off from his money from a program he was under via government 4 times, and couldn't seem to keep it from being taken away from him. Also Synni as of now as far as am aware is still in contact with the minor she groomed.

@@Louis_McClung personally I think it's less of a 'consent given' issue (as in, no consent given or retracted at the time), more of a 'fully informed consent' issue. Jack was not given the option to know everything, therefore the consent he gave was not fully informed.

Obviously I haven’t had time to watch the video yet, but.. the online art community has ALWAYS been like this. It’s the unfortunate consequence of creating a space where everyone is welcome & nobody gets judged.
This still happens in communities where only a select group of people are welcome. It's just talked about less cause it's less people. Me and my old friends would go to private art communities on discord and amino, where you need permission from one of the members to join. It's actually pretty common to meet a creep or a racist in those places. The only difference between those people and weirdo creators is that they don't have hundreds of thousands of people to call them out. I also don't know what you mean by "nobody gets judged". I don't know if it's possible to have a community where everyone is allowed and no one gets judged. It's one or the other with how the internet works ngl.
I do agree with most things you have said, but I disagree a bit about the 10k Jack had gotten. If I remember right, I think Jack did say he would give some of the leftovers he had over to the victim, but, even if he doesn't, that feels ok to me, tbh. The housing economy is absolute garbage right now. To find a place Jack might feel safe enough to be in on his own with his disabilities in play will definitely cost a pretty penny. Then you've got actual moving expenses, if he decides to move cross country, money for food, money to take care of his cat, money for the potential costs of his medicine if he doesn't have medical insurance that covers it, as well as just savings in general to have to live off of for a month or two until he can figure out what to do about income, as he has none at the moment and fighting for SSI is an absolute Pain. It's pricey to just live these days unfortunately, especially when you don't have anything, so having just a bit of cushion until you figure things out is nice

About Jack needing money, I’m pretty sure Enno has somewhere to live and I’m assuming somewhat supportive parents at least, correct me if I’m wrong. Jack has NOWHERE TO GO and he states why in his video. His family is VERY unsupportive of him/his identity and are straight up abusive, so staying with family is out of the question for him. He can’t stay with his friend Laurel either because she’s in college in a whole other place if I remember correctly.

btw about the fundraiser, Jack raised that money so that he could move out from his and Synni's apartment, and since he has a heart disease and disabilities that make it extremely hard for him to find a job, while also finding a stable place to live since most of his family are abusive and he needs money for his cat and his meds and groceries, I'm not American myself but the cost of housing, in general, is really expensive, he's starting a fresh start rn. Since he has enough money to get away safely, he has opened his art commissions! obviously there were some things about his video that weren't perfect but I'd say he tried his best.
More specifically, us artists are not scared that AI might replace us one day, but rather /right now/. Its not missing the "human element", bc its STEALING it! Generative AI does not "create" art, it /generates/ it, using art from artists all over the internet. Ofc without asking permission :| Its just blatant theft. Feel this kind of stuff depends heavily more on the user than the AI it's self since there is a difference between someone, let's say, using ai on their own image, putting it into a style and anything similar to that and someone putting some random artist name, taking one of their pictures and saying it is yours when it is not.

The reason why Jack needed 10k is because he’s disabled and can not physically work. That 10k is not just for housing but also for food and other expenses (aka living expenses) while he gets things figured out. (additional note: being an able-bodied person in the United States is already expensive, but being disabled is even more expensive. I genuinely don't think that 10k is unreasonable. I don't know why everyone makes it a point to mention that as something against Birdie, when Birdie was pretty honest about where the money would be going. He didn't really scam people. There are definitely things to criticize Jack for, such as how he took Scootaloo, a character that Synni was using as an avatar for a very long time, and started shipping her with his avatar because she doesn't own the character. Or, how he constantly comes online to say things to taunt Synni like "I stole all your friends. Live and suffer Pedobear03" when it's a well-known fact that Synni is very mentally unstable right now. The 10k thing is definitely not the pressing thing that Jack should be criticized for rn, especially when he is currently taunting a mentally unstable person who is still in contact with her grooming victim.) Brother, I’m seeing you ask where certain things were said like how Jack would not give enthusiastic consent to Synni (because it was coerced) and how he would tell her no and Synni ignored it because she thought it was a joke. I wanna correct you on a few things you got wrong, actually, Jack and Eno have stated (to my knowledge) that Eno is getting a cut of the money from Jack's godundme. (Personally I don't understand why people want Eno to get money in the first place? I mean it's good that they get it, but what do they need it for? I got groomed so I need money, for what?) Also, Jack's point was that he *never* gave consent, not that he revoked it later. There were some things he gave consent for and some things he didn't. Either way it's clear that the things Synni was doing with him made him uncomfortable to some degree. I feel like it would have been better to critique his use of the Panty and Stockings animation in the video and gofundme. I would also like to state that his video was made in a huge hurry, and toward the end of him staying at his and Synni's apartment, she threatened his life and SA'ed him. I feel you were a little too harsh on Jack, and also had some missing context.
I understand if you were too tired to finish research but Jack did say in another video, he DID SAY NO, but Synni took it as a joke! and this would happen repeatedly. Also Jack clarified he was helping for rent, not "completely living off of Synni", and as much as he could, he's disabled enough to not be able to work and gets insurance, he was using the money to help pay the rent. Synni OFFERED to take Jack in to her appartment (knowing he can't work) to then complain about it. I agree Jack kinda spoke the wrong way about it, but it was rushed (HarleyTBS asked things to Jack in his video, and Jack does agree it was too rushed and the tone was all over the place, it also has some other things I think you missed) I'd recommend watching Kawn's video too (the persona is a light purple skintone with orange hair) as they explain how much DARVO is in Synnis response and offers other opinion I think it's valid for Jack to ask for money to move out, they were a victim of grooming too and I couldn't even begin to imagine what it feels like to find out you're living with a weirdo. Though you have a point that Jack could have raised money for the victim's theraphy or smth. I'm not from the USA so I can't say nothing about the money part, I do kind of agree that Jack could have asked their grandparents if they were giving Synni so much money. sorry if my english is bad, it's not my first language. personally I'd never post any ai art or use for anything like that but as a writer sometimes I use it to visualize characters or places temporarily bc I have very little time to draw them myself BUT I DONT CONDONE OF USING THAT PERMANENTLY

honestly, I don't connect with the art communities online for the reason that a lot of them suck for one reason or another. They all feel like they're achieving the opposite goal that most of them intend to achieve; which is a safe space and a comfy environment to share art while supporting other artists, no matter background, race/ethnicity, orientation (gender or otherwise), or even something as unimportant as medium preference. yet I get people all the time talking about how "working with this medium is unprofessional and/or childish" or literally even people outright saying one person is "lame" because they do trad art vs. digital and vice versa. its insane. As a note Jack is a victim and didn’t revoke consent later, he had at points told Synni to stop and was ignored in favor of Synni believing it was a joke. Some touching was consensual other touching was not.

We are working on that. The issue is that the combination of robotics with AI and creating a GENERALIZED AI, which is necessary for those kinds of indeterminists and stochastic tasks, is significantly significantly harder than just a generative ai with simple inputs and outputs. So of course, the easier step comes first in the development process.
It may seem ethical at first, but when AI gets intelligent enough to start acting like individuals, would reliance on physical chores really be that ethical?
26:25 hey Luis, just wanted to point out here that grooming isn't exclusively adults on children, and it has had cases of child on child grooming as well. grooming can be unintentional or intentional. as someone who was groomed by another minor into doing things for them, i do think its important to make this distinction that instead of explicitly adults, its a person with some sort of power over another. be it an adult on child, emotionally important child on child ect. age does play a factor but you *can* be groomed by people younger than you as well, as long as they have some sort of power over the other. saying its exclusively adults makes people believe that COCSA is not valid, which is already a problem we face.

33:22 ok, i wanna introject with this topic. 10 thousand dollars is actually reasonable because for one, jack can't get an in-person job due to his disabilities and has to make money off commissions and just making enough money off commissions to get enough for food let alone a new apartment not to mention he has a whole other situation with his disability benefits, plus jack also needs it for stuff like rent since it can cost a lot depending on the place. My mom has had issues with money before and she herself has said even just 2,000 dollars is not nearly a good enough amount to get to help you move out.

About the part where jack talks about being sexually assaulted by Synni, Jack was talking about how Synni would poke him in inappropriate places without his consent,And also about how Synni would make sexual Comments about jack. Jack told Synni to stop multiple times but she continued.
Also Jack didn’t “Revoke his consent after it happened” Jack only consented because he didn’t know how friends are supposed to act with each other, and now that he knows that Synni’s behavior towards him wasn’t right, he recognizes that friends don’t break each other’s boundaries even after being told to stop.

While I agree with you for the most part, you really missed the mark when talking about Jack. There’s a lot you missed/misunderstood. Jack DID offer his extra gofundme money to the victim, Jack never revoked his consent- he was coerced or never gave it, Jack has a long history of abuse in many forms, and is too disabled to work and relied on Synni and social security.

on the "jack living off of synni" part, jack was on ssi ( i believe thats what that is? ) and he would pay rent to synni when possible, but the office changed his address and started forwarding the money to jack's parents so he had no income due to that

I somewhat disagree with one of your gripes about jacks response. Jack said in his video he often felt pressured or coerced into consenting to certain sexual actions, he has a long history of abuse and struggles to advocate for what he wants, and while it is on him to get better at that, synni making him feel pressured into consent is on her, its a very nuanced topic so i can see the flip flop in it but i think jack is right to feel violated by some of her actions towards him. Overall will never really know what did happen but i all around hope jack is okay.

I get this but at the same time, Synni isn’t a mind reader(and also autistic) so she would’ve had a harder time with understanding where the boundaries Jack has are. I don’t think it makes her right, but revoking consent far in the future also isn’t right to call SA. The wording and framing of it really comes across like “now that she’s bad I’m revoking it to make her come across worse”, and that feels like a slap to the face for people who have been SAed and raped like myself.

I don’t think anyone would really think to check someone’s channel explaining their traumas and overall updating on life events, so I feel there is some leeway, but it’s definitely something to take into account since it’s important to understanding why Jack was so rash with getting a video out and seeking help. Especially because if I remember right, Synni has started showing unsafe behaviors around Jack now? With his traumas, and the circumstances, he’s been dealt a hard hand to work with, so I think Jack does have a reasonable explanation for the mistakes (mental health isn’t easy to work with after all, and feeling unsafe can make someone rash and irrational sometimes while trying to get to saftey), especially since they’ve been shown to have made apologies and accepted his mistakes in another commentary youtuber’s video on the situation.

32:08 i just want to mention that Jack is disabled and CANNOT work, and Synni is a predator that preyed on a minor, which Jack has experienced himself. this is a big betray of trust and i feel like if i was in that situation, i'd want to get out of there too. being unable to work makes that difficult, and on top of that, his support needs were cut off before this situation happened and he'd been trying to get them back for ages, but with no luck. he has no family to support him, as they are abusive, and while yes, none of the money went to the victim, jack needed to get out of there and be safe. Synni was threatening violence, and in her response video you can feel that she's VERY agressive towards him, which isn't necessarily evidence, but you'd think she'd be calm about it and adress it in a normal manner instead of name dropping people, and bad mouth jack, almost barely even adressing the actual allegations that she'd groomed a minor. also on Jack's twitter there's a specific instance where he recounts/draws a vent about SA that he DID NOT CONSENT TO. plus, the reason why he doesn't show any evidence is because the topics withing the google docs are extremely triggering to him, which is valid. while i am from the art community and i could possibly be biased, Jack deserves to be safe, he is special needs and inflation sucks ass, and he might need money to start up and live comfortably. not hating on the video! just discussing :]

Regarding "revoking consent," that..... isn't a weird thing for a victim to do. In the moment, you sometimes think that you're giving consent and that you have agency.
The thing about looking back on situations is that you have hindsight. If abuse is all you've known and you feel pressured, then you lose no matter what. I think it's really unfair to say that about Jack when he's valid.
My experience is that I looked back at what happened to me, and with new knowledge I as a literal child didn't have, I realized that I was abused.
the worst part is the fact that Jack didn't even revoke his consent. Both Jack and Synni, in their respective videos about the drama, talked about how Jack would say no or scream when he felt uncomfortable with Synni's behavior. Louis didn't properly research either video and that's why he is misrepresenting what happened and saying that Jack "revoked consent"
Anout the synni touching jack without consent, jack talks about how he didnt like stuff synni did and she kept doing it anyway, she wouldnt stop even when he said no or yelled about it. So she did indeed touch him inappropriately without his consent!
Also the money he was raising was to get out of the house and he cant get a job due to disabilities, so money for a down payment, rent, utilities, food, help moving all his stuff. It makes sense he needed a good amount of money to get out.

respectfully, i have to disagree with the gripes against jack’s decision to start the gofundme. you hadn’t mentioned in the video why he decided to start it in the first place, so to sum it up, jack began raising money to move out of synni’s apartment and support him for the time being, as jack is unable to work due to his disabilities and has no other source of income. he cannot rely on his family for support due to their abusive nature, and is no longer receiving health benefits, so i can fully sympathize with why he would want to leave given the violation of trust due to the allegations that had come out about his roommate and discomfort he’d experienced living there.

birdie while yes was a bit tone deaf, i do NOT think they are lying about the SA allegations, as they have said that the reason they consented (btw in some moments they DIDNT consent which is straight up sa) it was out of pressure or lack of knowledge about the sexual implications, meaning that they were not given the full details as to what they consented to. synni also would knowingly goon while birdie was both in the room and even CUDDLING with them, which is A CRIMEEE. the reason birdie had the go-fund-me and was desperate is due to past trauma with grooming, and as someone who also has a lot of trauma revolving around that i 100% them wanting to run away as fast as possible, as they clearly didnt feel safe with synni.

It wasn’t because of racism, and it was once, so no she doesn’t “have a history”. My one criticism is that he sometimes says things like they are fact, when he is not an authority on a situation and could definitely be wrong, like this situation.

About go found me, jack was sinnie's roommate like you said and after the event he wanted to move out from that home but because of his family situation and disability stuff he didn't had the money to do it. Please PLEASE watch videos on Jack's story and you'll understand why he needed that money to get away from a person who he thought and IS horrible..he's endured a lot and he needed to get out of all the abuse he has suffered - he's COMPLETELY justified to get money from this situation, even if he wasn't the child thats the main victim. Sure, it would have been nice to give some money to the victim for all that they've been through, but jack could have DIED if he didn't get that money and he HAD to look out for himself.

I keep hearing all this stuff saying the art community and yet many people are getting another POV. This type of stuff is confusing. like a few othe people im here to comment on his depiction of jack. does this man know that what jack did was most likely the fawn response? doing everything a predetor asks of you and trying to fulfill their expectation do get out of the situation safe as soon as possible. as an exaple, youre being robbed and just give the attacker all your money so the situation is over as soon as possible and they dont attack you violently, or to do anything a s3xual predetor wants. this is a valid issue and does not contredict the SA. these responses (fight, flight, freeze and fawn) are subconcious and might be noticed just later on. taking back consent is 100% valid if the consent was never truly there to begin with, for whatever reason.

dude, i feel like when you're mushing the timeline and getting details wrong you probably shouldnt chime in to talk about this situation with synni. the fact that this is all still ongoing it should be handled with care, if you actually listen to what jack said he said "i consented to alot, but there are also things i just didn't consent to". consent isn't something that you assume which synni ADMITS she'd do things without asking jack if it was okay because she thought he would explicitly tell her only after she did it. thats not consent. if someone says they want tea once it doesnt mean they're always going to want it given to them, and you cant be surprised when they say after the fact they didnt want it. also jack had given some of the money to eno, the 10k was mostly to get out because otherwise he'd be homeless
THIS ^^ respectfully I felt like this entire subsection of the synni situation was very much generalized in the video. jack did mention explicitly that while he consented to some things, he didn’t consent to everything. synni also mentions in her response video that she also had a tendency to ask for consent only AFTER she had touched jack in an inappropriate manner. jack wasn’t comfortable a lot of the time with these interactions, but as mentioned in his video, a lot of these things had been very normalized for him given the unsafe environments and online spaces he grew up in.

Many people (including myself) struggle with mental health disorders that heavily feature paranoia as a symptom. I do my best to avoid content that triggers those symptoms for me, so it was a little shocking to be hit with that out of the blue. While I think internet safety is super important, wording your message like that can be really damaging to viewers with mental health issues. It also has a high potential to be manipulative considering the call to action involves making a purchase. If you could consider changing your wording in future ad reads that would be really appreciated.

Jack has to pay for medical fees, this is split into multiple things like his meds, possible examinations and physical therapy depending on what he does. Like also paying for aids would be a thing too.
With the cats he'd also have to pay for vet bills, but considering a friend of his by now has ownership of one of the cats(Synni and Jack agreed to this from what I've seen stated) so it is a factor removed-
Then theres public transport, unless he can get a friend to do so, and he cant go walking around as he has stated in his 'I'm back video'' that he cannot exert himself like the normal person due to chronic anemia, a condition which in his case i think he stated is the heart condition one- since there are different types as far as I know.
Ontop of that he needs to pay for utility, food, and also while trying to get a house for himself.
I get that maybe he should give it to the victim who was groomed, but maybe consider this, how do we know Eno would receive it or even be able to keep it(like what of their parents just took it? what then)? What would Eno even do with the funds provided? And would Eno even have the means to be able to recieve the funds like a paypal? A bank account? because like it depends on the parents, but sometimes kids dont even get a bank account around that age I merely got mine to do homeschooling for like math, so Eno might not even be able to GET the money if Jack could split it.

Jack has definitely done some weird things though, but a lot of people are using this as a way to say that he's done worse things he's stated and shown hasn't happened. They also use old screenshots (from 4 almost 5 years ago now) to claim he's racist still, etc. I really hope he addresses it (like it really needs to be addressed…), because the internet has really just- dogpiled him for years SINCE HE WAS A KID.
Just a note on Kooleen, she didn't *specifically* call people with dark skin "gorillas" but instead those with more traditionally black skinned features, such as an more forward pushed jaw (I don't know any better way to say that sorry). She also had the problem of drawing everyone as Asian, as bascially every single one of her "characters" looked the exact same. Not defending her, but just wanted to point out that she was never that straightforward.
I understand drawing everyone as the race you are because since when I learned how to draw I was a white female so mainly what I draw is white females now I understand how this is problematic but I kinda understand

The main problem with Kooleen is that when she was asked to critique art of people with traditionally Black features she decided to practically erase all of those racial traits in her "fixed version." Additionally her art tutorials would specifically include traditionally Black Features as examples of what not to do in your art.
It's not a problem to just draw people who look like you if that's what you're familiar with, but insulting other features or erasing ethnic features from a character that has them is one.

I would argue that what synni was doing does qualify as gr**ming regardless of if the final outcome did or didn't come to pass. By engaging in s3xval conversations with a minor as an adult she's priming them to believe that these kinds of conversations and boundary crossing with an adult is okay and normal. Just because she didn't end up touching anyone doesn't mean abvse wasn't happening. exually harassing a minor is abusive, sending a minor exual content and images is abvsive (also I'm pretty sure deliberately sending or exposing a minor to prawn as an adult is also illegal). Especially because usually these types of people interact online, not just because it's more discreet and easy to hide, but also with the goal of getting pics, which is outright illegal. Convincing a minor that an adult engaging with them exually in any context verbal, physical, digital, whatever, is priming them to think abvse is okay and normal regardless of if Synni was the one to go on to do it.

with the ai stuff i believe i understand ai a little more than most do, ai will never be able to make art coz ai just predicts what colours should be where its just very good at it, and it will never be able to make art or really do anything crazy like people say it will be able to do. but the important thing is that loser capitalist losers will use whatever ai comes up with to avoid paying artists, which is the problem. to be clear i have no problem with using ai in art as long as you use it as a tool just like a paint brush, and remember its not an artist you are, and imo putting in a prompt does not have enough control over the ai model to count as your art, coz its just predictions like chatgpt and other ais.
I have a problem with people getting onto Jack about his GoFundMe: like...what the hell did you guys want bro to do?? he had no way to get out of Synni's apartment without funds. people told him to make a GoFundMe, Jack does and other TH-camrs promote it for him when he said he made it, Jack gets funds to get away from Synni and be safe, then people start complaining about his GoFundMe like they didn't tell him to make it and act like he begged them to donate when they didn't have to..so how is it Jack's fault he did what others told him to do? ya'll just wanted him to stay with a weirdo or something? and Jack wanted to give half of what was donated to him to Eno but they didn't want it.

gonna point out that jack started the gofundme because he was LIVING with synni at the time of what everything happened and im pretty sure she threatened violence against him. he was raising money so he could move out + so he could stay on his antidepressants and antipsychotics.
I had a few problems with this video, but the rest overall is fine, but I have some issues
I’m friends with Soph who is in contact with Jack, and she’s been told that Jack has given some of the money he got to the minor, he hasn’t kept it all to himself but he does need it so he can get away from Synni. My next problem is with Nondi. They didn’t go by any or they/them pronouns while this whole thing happened, she came out about it when she posted the courtroom video.
Lastly, I don’t like how you said what you said about Jack and consent, that was weird I didn’t like it. And Louis if you didn’t know he hasn’t been taught what touching was bad and good and Synni used that to her advantage.
I'm glad someone else felt weird abt this. Really hopes he makes a public update clarifying some things for those who don't follow the "drama" as closely.

Jack was her roommate and is disabled to the point he can't even get a job. Synni knew this and agreed to take him in as to help him get out of an abusive household from his parents.
She knew Jack couldn't work, was disabled, and will need to be taken care of. In a recording in his response video where he confronted Synni about the grooming. He mentioned the time he told her no, but she thought he was joking.
The GoFundMe was to help him move out and get away from Synni as she said she wanted to kill him about 4 times and even joked about crashing the car she was driving while Jack was in it. And the Oc Synni drew nsfw of belongs to a minor, said minor told her to stop, Synni said she would but kept doing it which resulted in her getting blocked.
Synni saying she doesn't care on how the minor felt as it's the internet, therefore the minor has no control over their own oc on who makes nsfw on it or not as it's on the internet.
In Synni's video (Not the deleted one) she keeps throwing Jack under the bus, on how hard it is to take care of even despite knowing and agreeing to take care of him with his disabilities. Jack got cut off from his money from a program he was under via government 4 times, and couldn't seem to keep it from being taken away from him.
Also Synni as of now as far as am aware is still in contact with the minor she groomed.

@@Louis_McClung personally I think it's less of a 'consent given' issue (as in, no consent given or retracted at the time), more of a 'fully informed consent' issue. Jack was not given the option to know everything, therefore the consent he gave was not fully informed.

I'm honestly pretty sad about the Owonekko situation. She was one of my favorite artists and I always listened to her while working on something. I loved the stupid humor and her redesigns :( I didn't know she was so problematic..

This still happens in communities where only a select group of people are welcome. It's just talked about less cause it's less people. Me and my old friends would go to private art communities on discord and amino, where you need permission from one of the members to join. It's actually pretty common to meet a creep or a racist in those places. The only difference between those people and weirdo creators is that they don't have hundreds of thousands of people to call them out.

I do agree with most things you have said, but I disagree a bit about the 10k Jack had gotten. If I remember right, I think Jack did say he would give some of the leftovers he had over to the victim, but, even if he doesn't, that feels ok to me, tbh. The housing economy is absolute garbage right now. To find a place Jack might feel safe enough to be in on his own with his disabilities in play will definitely cost a pretty penny. Then you've got actual moving expenses, if he decides to move cross country, money for food, money to take care of his cat, money for the potential costs of his medicine if he doesn't have medical insurance that covers it, as well as just savings in general to have to live off of for a month or two until he can figure out what to do about income, as he has none at the moment and fighting for SSI is an absolute Pain. It's pricey to just live these days unfortunately, especially when you don't have anything, so having just a bit of cushion until you figure things out is nice

About Jack needing money, I’m pretty sure Enno has somewhere to live and I’m assuming somewhat supportive parents at least, correct me if I’m wrong. Jack has NOWHERE TO GO and he states why in his video. His family is VERY unsupportive of him/his identity and are straight up abusive, so staying with family is out of the question for him. He can’t stay with his friend Laurel either because she’s in college in a whole other place if I remember correctly.

Feel this kind of stuff depends heavily more on the user than the AI it's self since there is a difference between someone, let's say, using ai on their own image, putting it into a style and anything similar to that and someone putting some random artist name, taking one of their pictures and saying it is yours when it is not.

The reason why Jack needed 10k is because he’s disabled and can not physically work. That 10k is not just for housing but also for food and other expenses (aka living expenses) while he gets things figured out.
(additional note: being an able-bodied person in the United States is already expensive, but being disabled is even more expensive. I genuinely don't think that 10k is unreasonable. I don't know why everyone makes it a point to mention that as something against Birdie, when Birdie was pretty honest about where the money would be going. He didn't really scam people. There are definitely things to criticize Jack for, such as how he took Scootaloo, a character that Synni was using as an avatar for a very long time, and started shipping her with his avatar because she doesn't own the character. Or, how he constantly comes online to say things to taunt Synni like "I stole all your friends. Live and suffer Pedobear03" when it's a well-known fact that Synni is very mentally unstable right now. The 10k thing is definitely not the pressing thing that Jack should be criticized for rn, especially when he is currently taunting a mentally unstable person who is still in contact with her grooming victim.)
Brother, I’m seeing you ask where certain things were said like how Jack would not give enthusiastic consent to Synni (because it was coerced) and how he would tell her no and Synni ignored it because she thought it was a joke. Respectfully, I don't think you did adequate research on this topic. It also seems as though you didn't reach out to him before you made this video.

I wanna correct you on a few things you got wrong, actually, Jack and Eno have stated (to my knowledge) that Eno is getting a cut of the money from Jack's godundme. (Personally I don't understand why people want Eno to get money in the first place? I mean it's good that they get it, but what do they need it for? I got groomed so I need money, for what?)
Also, Jack's point was that he *never* gave consent, not that he revoked it later. There were some things he gave consent for and some things he didn't. Either way it's clear that the things Synni was doing with him made him uncomfortable to some degree.
I feel like it would have been better to critique his use of the Panty and Stockings animation in the video and gofundme.
I would also like to state that his video was made in a huge hurry, and toward the end of him staying at his and Synni's apartment, she threatened his life and SA'ed him. I feel you were a little too harsh on Jack, and also had some missing context.

I think it's valid for Jack to ask for money to move out, they were a victim of grooming too and I couldn't even begin to imagine what it feels like to find out you're living with a weirdo. Though you have a point that Jack could have raised money for the victim's theraphy or smth.

personally I'd never post any ai art or use for anything like that but as a writer sometimes I use it to visualize characters or places temporarily bc I have very little time to draw them myself BUT I DONT CONDONE OF USING THAT PERMANENTLY
