Something really similar happened a few years ago in Tampa (also in Florida). This guy Cameron Herrin ran over a mom and her young child on Bayshore (a main street constantly populated with runners/walkers/roller skaters, etc.) because he was street racing in his car. It was tragic for the whole city, and so much legislation was put on the road to prevent a similar event. Anyways, this man went viral with a hashtag begging for him to be freed bc he was conventionally attractive. I only found out about this around a year after it happened. Absolutely disgusting.
“He’s too young to die 🥺” Diane Ruiz’s son was FOURTEEN YEARS OLD when he got orphaned thanks to wade. She never got to attend his first freshman marching band performance that she was so excited to attend because WADE WILSON WANTED TO RUN HER OVER WITH HIS CAR TILL HER BODY GOT MUTILATED FOR THE HELL OF IT. HIS ACTIONS CAN NEVER BE EXCUSED.
People need to remember that FICTION needs TO STAY FICTION. The news media used to criticised younger people for video games/anime/manga saying it's gonna blur the lines between reality. Now we need to do the same with booktok, put them on the news and rightfully shame them. These people trying to meddle with the justice system too.
I’d bet like most communities the majority of people who engage with booktok are not doing disturbing shit. Sorry your hobby has such bad optics. I hope the creeps leave/ get their shit together very soon, and I hope you get to enjoy your books in peace
Booktok is actually insane. First they simped for minors, now for actual criminals. But then again, are we surprised considering the stuff they like to read?
I really hope booktok gets serious help because I’ve see so many videos of people talking about booktok and I’m genuinely concerned because all of them have something to do with killers….
And why are these women thirsting over the murderer like we dont live in the age of the internet where u can literally fawn over other non-killer men, if they so desperately wanted too.
This is horrifying for people and especially the victims families, seeing their beloved one's killer be fawned over tiktok/social media. It's actually so concerning to think that some people actually think a murderer is hot..
I am a book-tock girl. I enjoy READING about these things and consuming FICTIONAL MEDIA about dark taboo things. I'm a victim of SA. I love vicariously through the books and shows in order to help myself heal from the trauma I experienced. It's fiction. Nobody gets hurt. But trying to raise money and sign partitions for a REAL MURDERER who cost someone their life is too far. It isn't like the hot books where everything turns out ok. It's not fiction anymore and that is inexcusable.
I can't fucking take how anyone for a single second ANYONE can say he deserves to live. I'm not for death penalty at all. I don't wanna say he does deserve to die, I would be very careful to ever say anything that. But dear god, I do NOT give a shit about anyone who makes the conscious decision to put that symbol on their face, I don't even have to take into account what he's done to come to that conclusion. I can't believe people don't immediately think he's a lost cause when they see his tattoos. Absolutely disgusting. Aside from just that, how the fuck do none of these people think about the women he murdered? THEY don't get a life anymore either, but because of him. But they don't matter? I'm German, we are all painfully aware of out history here, obviously, and there's just something really scary to me about people finding his tattoos attractive, when *that* symbol is one of them. I kind of pray that a lot of these people SOMEHOW don't know about the history of it, because otherwise I can't take it that people can even look at him for a second without being repulsed and terrified just from that. I didn't even know anything about the fact that he's a literal murderer to think that he is not a good person and not worth any sympathy.
Nah, nah, nah. As a used to be member of booktok I don't do serial unalivers. That is all the hybristophiliacs my dude. Those people make my brain hurt. Fictional men is one thing, but this guy would literally unalive these women that are in love with him. Um, no, no, no, no.
Exactly- fictional killers? Sure, they're not enacting real harm on real people. I've had a few fictional killer crushes. It's like how I love douchebag characters. I love their character, but if I met them in real life, I'd despise them. Same with killers. It's genuinely scary that people aren't able to separate what's ok in fiction from what's ok in real life.
It's still cringe to do what these women do even if the character is fictional. They aren't just thirsting over him (that would merely be cringe and indicate a lack of taste). They are saying "he's misunderstood", and claiming he didn't do the things he was convicted of doing. That's very disrespectful to the people he hurt. It's still bad to do that even if the characters are fictional. Loving a character is fine, even loving a problematic real person is fine. But don't go around excusing the bad things they've done when there is evidence they did these things. Loving someone means wanting to see them grow and improve, not sheltering them from anything that could bruise their ego. You just know these women were also toxic boy mums, or would be given the chance.
THIS IS WHAT I'M SAYING! Fiction is one thing but reality is another. Fictional characters don't have a real life impact on real people's lives, unlike actual serial killers and murderers. "oh he's hot" that doesn't excuse the fact he killed people. Like this isn't fiction people- actual people died because of him. Characters that kill other characters in fiction is, for lack of better phrase, okay because they aren't real. This is exactly what i'm saying
As an Aromantic acespec (I only find people i don't know, attractive), even if I found someone attractive, but theyve done bad things. I wouldn't endorse their actions. Ima also make her a Bill Cipher plush bc she loves Gravity Falls :> She is my favorite cousin but I am re-teaching myself to make a star granny square ;-; I know the stitches just not the order of the border-
@@milberg4338 True, that was my point. :> You shouldn't because those terrible actions should be something that makes you find them not even close to attractive as you did before
I wonder if the tiktok girlies would come for me I'd I said that sounds pretty gay. like 🤨 you've been bred? Being bred, for the war? By the soldiers? Tattooed and breedable
The fact this guy is both a murderer AND has a very infamous hate symbol tattooed on his face and this many people are PUBLICLY thirsting over him after he’s been convicted for murder is a condemnation of society as a whole
What scares me a lot is a lot of these women are mothers so her daughters aren’t protected by men like this and their son are being taught this is ok and that’s terrifying also I think about the teens that may watch the videos and think bc he’s hot it’s ok for a man to be horrible etc.
as someone who’s been a victim of CA and DV by a MAN (my bio father) for nearly 19 years, people who are like “oh I’ll thank him!” when someone points out that a killer did crimes against women genuinely make me so disgusted. Like, if you were in my shoes or any other women who’s suffered or knows someone who’s been through CA and/or DV by a man, you would definitely have a different take.
As someone who works in the legal system and often deals with murderers & other criminals this really makes me so frustrated. To justify or overlook the actions of a convicted murderer to the point you’re sending them money & contacting them regularly makes me feel ill. I know first hand how manipulative many murderers can be & if you listen to the prison calls this guy manipulates every woman that contacts him. The scariest part is these women seem to have zero interest in listening to reason. I’m just thankful he’s behind bars so that he can’t physically hurt or even kill any of these women.
7:50 talking about fundraising, me and my friend are starting a fundraiser at my school, we wanna have family’s donate for the month of October for Brest cancer research. It was my professors idea and we were who asked to be in charge.

The idea that only 'ugly' people commit crimes is beyond words. I can't truly express with the English language how truly evil that is.
0:45 that transition was smooth
"Pretty Privilege" is a real thing in crime psych and it's WILD to read articles about.
BOOKTOK ALWAYS LOVING WEIRD THINGS BRO- 😭
People need to remember that FICTION needs TO STAY FICTION. The news media used to criticised younger people for video games/anime/manga saying it's gonna blur the lines between reality. Now we need to do the same with booktok, put them on the news and rightfully shame them. These people trying to meddle with the justice system too.
How dare i only see this 28 seconds after you posting 😤😤

Booktok is actually insane. First they simped for minors, now for actual criminals. But then again, are we surprised considering the stuff they like to read?
I really hope booktok gets serious help because I’ve see so many videos of people talking about booktok and I’m genuinely concerned because all of them have something to do with killers….
20:18 I was going homework, this helps me a lot because I need to listen to something while working or I get freaked out in the complete silence
And why are these women thirsting over the murderer like we dont live in the age of the internet where u can literally fawn over other non-killer men, if they so desperately wanted too.
It's called 'hybristophilia'. The fact he's a criminal is why they like him.
This is horrifying for people and especially the victims families, seeing their beloved one's killer be fawned over tiktok/social media. It's actually so concerning to think that some people actually think a murderer is hot..
As an avid reader and someone who doesnt use tiktok, we dont claim them

BOOTHILL
I am a book-tock girl. I enjoy READING about these things and consuming FICTIONAL MEDIA about dark taboo things. I'm a victim of SA. I love vicariously through the books and shows in order to help myself heal from the trauma I experienced. It's fiction. Nobody gets hurt.
But trying to raise money and sign partitions for a REAL MURDERER who cost someone their life is too far. It isn't like the hot books where everything turns out ok. It's not fiction anymore and that is inexcusable.
Imagine wanting to save someone from the actions they COMMITTED because of his appearance which he had nothing to do with
WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE HIM 💀💀💀
It’s the “he did that but he would never do that to me” fan girlies… they actually think they’re special, I know what eventually happens to them… 💀
@@runascarlet2623wait until they learn that he almost beat his ex to death
@@shatteredlazuli8092 they think that's hot. These women are all coomers
i’ve hated booktok ever since they got a hold of ghost and have criminally butchered his character (both 09 and 22-23)
Fr even the other cod characters
@somanygoodfandoms Agreed. I just don't get it. 😵💫😖🤦🏻♀️
It's still cringe to do what these women do even if the character is fictional.
@sophiejones3554 but it's fictional, fictional character doesn't harm real life so stop
“The leopards won't eat my face!"
i am begging the booktok community to develop critical thinking and some conscience of survival skills
WAKE UP POOKIES OUR KING LOUIS POSTED 🙏🏻👑
Not gonna brag abt being first but be glad he called this guy out
As an Aromantic acespec (I only find people i don't know, attractive), even if I found someone attractive, but theyve done bad things. I wouldn't endorse their actions. Regardless, I was working on a crochet bag for my lil cousin's bday on the 22nd (her party is on 22nd, she turns 10 on the 24th). Ima also make her a Bill Cipher plush bc she loves Gravity Falls :> She is my favorite cousin but I am re-teaching myself to make a star granny square ;-; I know the stitches just not the order of the border-
The thing is... You shouldn't think that they are attractive after you know what bad things that they've done.
@@milberg4338 True, that was my point. :> You shouldn't because those terrible actions should be something that makes you find them not even close to attractive as you did before

After the whole Booktok thing with the hockey player, I was questioning their life choices. But now I know they've lost the plot.

People should also think about the families, imagine going online and seeing people glorifying the murderer of a family member or friend.
as someone who’s been a victim of CA and DV by a MAN (my bio father) for nearly 19 years, people who are like “oh I’ll thank him!” when someone points out that a killer did crimes against women genuinely make me so disgusted. Like, if you were in my shoes or any other women who’s suffered or knows someone who’s been through CA and/or DV by a man, you would definitely have a different take.
I don't know why but now I just love saying 'MEMBERS OF THE AUDIANCE!!' when you start your videos lol

“I would be thankful for it” WHAAAAAAAATTTT?!?!?!
They also blamed his dad for giving him up for adoption even though him and the mom were 14 and 13 when they conceived him 😭😭
I feel so bad for the victims families. Imagine seeing all of these people thirsting over him on tik tok
