There’s a big difference between enjoying dark subject matter in fiction and blurring the line between fiction and real life. This is a real unaliver and a very real danger to society. Let’s not petition for unalivers to be released or not sentenced fully- especially for the sole reason that he’s a tatted bad boy that people think is hot. He’s not morally grey- he’s a real life criminal 😅

Something really similar happened a few years ago in Tampa (also in Florida). This guy Cameron Herrin ran over a mom and her young child on Bayshore (a main street constantly populated with runners/walkers/roller skaters, etc.) because he was street racing in his car. It was tragic for the whole city, and so much legislation was put on the road to prevent a similar event. Anyways, this man went viral with a hashtag begging for him to be freed bc he was conventionally attractive. I only found out about this around a year after it happened. Absolutely disgusting.

I can't fucking take how anyone for a single second ANYONE can say he deserves to live. I'm not for death penalty at all. I don't wanna say he does deserve to die, I would be very careful to ever say anything that. But dear god, I do NOT give a shit about anyone who makes the conscious decision to put that symbol on their face, I don't even have to take into account what he's done to come to that conclusion. I can't believe people don't immediately think he's a lost cause when they see his tattoos. Absolutely disgusting.
Aside from just that, how the fuck do none of these people think about the women he murdered? THEY don't get a life anymore either, but because of him. But they don't matter?
I'm German, we are all painfully aware of out history here, obviously, and there's just something really scary to me about people finding his tattoos attractive, when *that* symbol is one of them. I kind of pray that a lot of these people SOMEHOW don't know about the history of it, because otherwise I can't take it that people can even look at him for a second without being repulsed and terrified just from that. I didn't even know anything about the fact that he's a literal murderer to think that he is not a good person and not worth any sympathy.

It's still cringe to do what these women do even if the character is fictional. They aren't just thirsting over him (that would merely be cringe and indicate a lack of taste). They are saying "he's misunderstood", and claiming he didn't do the things he was convicted of doing. That's very disrespectful to the people he hurt. It's still bad to do that even if the characters are fictional. Loving a character is fine, even loving a problematic real person is fine. But don't go around excusing the bad things they've done when there is evidence they did these things. Loving someone means wanting to see them grow and improve, not sheltering them from anything that could bruise their ego. You just know these women were also toxic boy mums, or would be given the chance.

    • @saltypiranha

THIS IS WHAT I'M SAYING! Fiction is one thing but reality is another. Fictional characters don't have a real life impact on real people's lives, unlike actual serial killers and murderers. "oh he's hot" that doesn't excuse the fact he killed people. Like this isn't fiction people- actual people died because of him. Characters that kill other characters in fiction is, for lack of better phrase, okay because they aren't real. This is exactly what i'm saying
