How long could one hold down the Anti-Lag switch before I begins to hurt the car? From the clip it sounded like if u held it down much longer than u did, it was going to blow. Do you have to time it right? Coming from a roll racers pov?
the loner you hold it i believe more boost is built. i have the Ecutek rolling launch in my gtr which is a little different, i set my cruise control, press on the throttle and when enough boost is built i hit cancel. mine is different but i believe the longer you hold it more boost is built.
still doesn't answer the question. I asked how long could one use anti lag and build boost b efore it begins to harm the motor. Or can you just hold the anti lag button forever if u wanted to
oh sorry, but all GTRs are different and can handle that in different ways. I'm almost sure if you hold it for too long while boost is fully built it will begin to harm the engine.
anti-lag hurts the motor and exhaust valves and turbo period. It is not gentle on any of those areas of the engine. I suppose the more you use it the quicker those parts of the engine/turbo will get damaged.
Shemar Baker It mainly damages the exhaust valves by overheating them and the turbo seals. A built engine won't help protect against this type of damage. Ferrea valves may be a bit stronger thab oem but anti-lag generates tons of heat
they effectively dump petrol into the system after the exhaust ports, the raw petrol ignites in the exhaust manifold keeping the turbo spooling when your foot is off the accelerator, hence anti lag and the noise when your foot is off the accelerator.
Stig Bimm no... it just retards the ignition timing (to spool up turbo)... and limits the rpm (the rpms you were at when you pressed the button). It has nothing to do with waste gate. Its just an "anti-lag" system.

Stig Bimm There are 2 types of anti lag; "on-throttle" (launch/ 2step).... and "off-throttle" (rally style).
This kind of human dont know how to appreciate what they got..even cant drive..
