As always keep up the great work and you should do one of your shows from Los Angeles and if you do i would love to meet and say hi and exchange some cool car stories, there are amazing places you can shoot your show from. Incredible places to drive that are close by. Until then ciao

***** you welcome, funny story but i used to speak decent Italian when i was around 11-12 years old and lived in Germany. My best friend was this Italian chap named Liborio, not sure if the spelling of his name is correct but he was the one who thought me how to speak and write in your language but once i moved from Germany to Los Angeles i lost contact with him and i didn't speak Italian to or with anyone so in a few years i forgot 99% of it although i can still sing Lasciatemi Cantare or L'Italiano pretty much perfectly and i still remember some of the not so nice Italian words and phrases but anyways thought i share that with you

I don't understand. Italy is a country famous of its supercars. What the.. here in the Netherlands the "road tax" cost already super much. It is based on weight.. and it isn't lineair. It goes up real quick. I have a Nissan 350z. It's ok to own it. But i could never afford a supercar. (normal job) On the highway i can get 12 km with 1 litre. Pretty good for a sportscar. RON95.
Im always affraid of Italian politicians in the EU parlement. Hope they don't screw up stuff. Still afraid some countries are corrupt.

    • @birtalanlorant5572
      @birtalanlorant5572 8 ปีที่แล้ว

Yep. We dont have at least such huge annual taxes, only 1500 euros for a GTR (it is calculated from the size of the engine), but when you import it to my country (you import it, 100% since the ones that are here, have shitty suspension for sure, this is the country of potholes....) you get to pay some ''pollution tax'' thats is 6000 euros. The fuel is the same (EU), road tax is 100 euros a year, for every regular car. Insurance would be around 1000 euros

+misutatomasu tell what your country is please! I'll move there from Italy immediately! Here it is ridicolous. We pay taxes upon buying (VAT-22%) , then for cars we call the "registration tax" (depends on power but i'd say 300 to 700€ for a regular hatchback or medium size car), then ownership tax once a year until you sell the car (the one marchettino talked about). Then taxes again on the petrol which make more than 60% of the price per liter (which by yesterday refuel was around 1.41€/l)....and so on. it is absolutly ridicolous!

  • @zemekiel

Haha you think 20 euro per kW is bad?
    Try Norway.
The Horsepower tax on a 2016 Nissan GT-R in Norway is 256000 NOK, which is 27677 euros.
The weight tax is 114000 NOK, which is 12325 euros.
The CO2 tax is 221800 NOK, which is 23979 euros.
If you add these taxes, you will get the sum of 591800 NOK (it is a couple of other taxes as well, but they only a couple of thousand), which you will find is 63981 euros.
    But wait, there's more.
You have to pay VAT on the taxes as well, so you need to add 25%.
So that is 79976 euros in taxes alone.
And then you add the price of the car from factory, +25% VAT on that.
It's hard to be a nissemann.

The costs for insurance and road tax are relative to the country (but I feel for you, sounds extremely expensive). But the brakes on the other hand, are the most shocking part to me! Having to change them every 4k to 8k km is crazy! All GTRs have that "issue", I'm guessing CCBs would be helpful and may be more economical in this situation (for once...) In germany you would pay around 400 Euro taxes and between 2000-4000 Euro insurance. This eliminates nearly half of the costs compaired to Italy. Of course if you drive as much as you than the Insurance and taxes will make a lower percentage compaired to fuel etc. but for normal daily drivers it's about 10-15.000 km per year.

Don't trust the manufacturer's numbers; and it also depends on the roads and on your foot.
My 95HP MK3 Focus takes around 7-8L/100KM because i live in a hilly city.
6.5L on a 2.0 is possible but you have to drive like a grandma. My father has the 2.0 TDCI 163HP Focus and gets around the same consumption as mine; but he lives in a flat city and drives much more calmly than I do.

=D ahaha dubbio esistenziale!!

bravo Marco, great video! My relatives who come to visit me in Australia (from Italy) cannot believe how cheap our fuel, insurance and road taxes are here which is why we can often drive bigger more powerful cars. Don't get me wrong, GT-R ownership is still expensive in Australia, and Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini Aston martin are still a lot more however we do not have these ridiculous taxes that are common in Europe. Like America It's much more common to see V6 and V8 cars as regular family cars in Australia (as i do myself).
    Anyway, Auguri e buona fortuna!

I do 2.000km a month in my E39 520d Touring, my car eats up about 7l/100km average, so that's about 200-250 euros/month in fuel, the occasional parts, and my tires cost 300 euros once every 2 years ( summer 1 set lasts 2 years winter set lasts 3 years ).. Let's say an average of 200 euros / year in tires, insurance is another 100 euros / year ( not registered on my name, otherwise insurance would be 1000 euros / year ). Oil and stuff costs me about 200 euros / year ( 2 changes per year )...Adding these up, my 520d eats up around 3500-4000 euro / year, and I do 2.000km/month, as opposed to your 3.000km/month... My point is that every car is very expensive to maintain, if you drive it alot, and hard ( you don't buy a supercar to nanny it ) ! Enjoy your GTR !

Mama Mia!! The costs over there are crazy!! Here in Canada we pay around 13% sales tax when we buy it then we pay, depending on province, about $40.00 a year for plate registration and if you're a decent driver, not too young, you pay about $1000.00 a year for insurance. Fuel is about $1.00/litre and it doesn't matter how much horsepower you have and in fact you can make as much as you like no problem. Chow....

Clearly, cost of ownership is different when living in the UK compared to the U.S.. For example, if you drive 7,500 miles in the GT-R in the U.S. at 20 miles per gallon, that's 375 gallons. If you pay $2.50 per gallon, the total comes out to $937 for driving 7,500 miles compared to Marchettino's whopping 3,000 euro per 7,500 mile cost. I'm sure maintenance and other things are cheaper in the U.S. compared to the U.K..
