    What are the pros and cons for work, to make money and use it for real estate, indoor, outdoor, play parks, inside a car, at an event, etc. and most of all: CAN YOU make money with it?

    • @cris_photography
      @cris_photography  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks a lot. The settings are indeed auto. The reason for that is that unless you're outdoor, with the same type of light (might have gone manual on my outdoor sunny day shoots in fact) you will have dark or overexposed footage when you go under a tree for example or if/when you go indoor from outdoor. In other words, put manual settings when the lighting conditions are even and auto when you can't control it and it changes often. Cheers

      Hello Tiago! Obrigado ;)
      My settings are cinelike-D (the flattest profile DJI have to offer on this drone) and that's pretty much it! I shoot it all in automatic exposure - especially when you go in and out of buildings. If you are outdoor you can set a particular exposure (and use ND filters as necessary - you can check my other video about the Freewell NDs for the avata) and you're good to go.
      Then it's a matter of color grading in post - add saturation, contrast with a Luma curve and off you go ;)

    How do you do with low light situations? I just bought it and am having a lot of fun with it (beginner pilot), but when I did some cameratests at home (am a 1:st AC by profession) I noticed color banding issues in resolve in low light footage.
    I mean ofc it could be my monitor which is in now way a grading monitor, but still, have you gotten any issues with this?

    • @cris_photography
      @cris_photography  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks and for low light - there are no miracles unfortunately. The sensor is not even an inch making it hard to capture existing light so when the environment is dim the ISO has to go up and the quality goes down. Room for improvement in DJIs side.

    Just like you, I found out that the Avata, in Normal mode, flown indoors, sometimes goes crazy, and that can result in a crash. So now that you know it can crash, would you still fly it over the people in the tent? What if it goes crazy while flying over people. It's less likely in a tent with no metal beams. But would you fly it over people inside of a ship, for instance? Did you consider learning to fly the Avata manual mode? I am assuming flying it in full manual mode would avoid the "going crazy" situation altogether. What do you think?

It will return at what ever height it is, it could be 5ft or 100ft, when the auto return initiate. However it will got to the preset elevation when I press on the RTH on the controller. Have anyone else expected this issue.

      I had same exact problem. And it went through tree and luckilly didnt hit any branches, i would never try fill gap that tiny i must say :D. It was terrifiing. Im used to mavic drones, that has all sensors and almost everytime it did great job in RTH, so this experience was something completely new. But lesson learned. Next time ill cancel RTH, when battery goes under 25%.

    • @dronemagicnl4986
      @dronemagicnl4986 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Best to set to Hover instead of RTH. These kinds of drones are often flown at low altitude, like through buildings or under trees. In those cases you don't want the drone to fly up into the sky by itself. Only use RTH when you sending it out far and high. Which is something this drone isn't build for. Great for a Mavic, dangerous as a default for the Avata

      @@dronemagicnl4986 I actually lost my avata a few days ago because of this issue. I was flying at a cliff, I lost the signal and it just turned around and hit the face of the cliff, falling 2800 ft down. If it just raised to the preset RTH (150 ft) I would still had my drone. I was flying at -30 ft when the RTH activated and it came back at the same height. You advised make a lot of sense now. 😅😅😅😅 thankfully, I had the care refresh and my new avatar should be here the day after tomorrow. I will have my settings to just hover in place from now on. Schönes Video. You can change to "half manual" (flips and rolls deactivated) and get rid of the GPS problem. Manual mode deactivates GPS and obstacle avoidance. And never forget, it's totally illegal in Europe to fly over a crowd with a drone that weights more than 250g. ;)

      You say that even if you have a license, you can't fly over people in Europe?

    • @rthairlines
      @rthairlines ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sergiolugo3890 Under 250g, no problem. But as far as I know, this is not allowed in Europe AND the USA (and probably the rest of the world as well). Here is a text about it that I found. Should explain it.
      "For the FAA, drone flight over people is directly connected with the concept of “hazardous operation.” Hazardous operation is endangering the safety of persons or property on the ground by careless or reckless operation of the UAS."
      But don't confuse "people" with "crowd". It's basically impossible to guarantee that you won't fly over people. Sometimes it can't be avoided, but in principle it should be avoided. "Crowds" can be found at concerts or demos, for example. "People" in parks or on the street.
      Funny, isn't it? No one buys a car and wonders why they are not allowed to drive it through the park. But the majority of people who own a drone don't have a clue that there are strict laws for it, with high fines. XD

    • @dronemagicnl4986

There is no drone including the Mavic mini 3 with Prop guards able to legally fly over people with sustained flight due to weight restrictions. • @dronemagicnl4986
    @dronemagicnl4986 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, you can as long as you treat it as a real FPV drone. I've earned back my investment on the Avata more than three times over. Throw away that stupid motion controller and learn to fly manual. I would never do a job flying indoors depending on a GPS signal, simply because it's dangerous. Take control and fly manual. FPV is all about flying acro/manual but all the new people getting into FPV with the Avata don't get that. The motion controller footage looks really weird, superficial. For flying indoors add expo to roll and pitch and/of lower center sensitivity. Unfortunately expo on pitch isn't possible for the Avata (really stupid DJI!) but I bought stick extenders to get sort of the same effect. The default rates are way too aggressive for a cinewhoop in general, especially flying indoors.
