I felt your pain with the broken bolt! I've got the mark 1 that I've had the odd curse of finding other persons easy fix job's! But after replacing all oil's and filters and grease knipples tie rods (next are the king pins) and finding the oil bath was a blocked suppository which I had to burn 🔥 out as the gauze wire doesn't come out ! The old girl (1959) now happily works reliably 😄 mine has power steering and a FEL great video 📹 👍 I learn every time I watch your work 😀 thank you sir
Good one Lance. One broken bolt on a job like that almost deserves celebrating with a beer. Looking forward to seeing it progress Should be a tidy tractor when it’s done
Hi lance when I was doing my 65 up I replaced the weld on end tie rod and wasn’t difficult to get, was in stock with sparex. it amazes me the you can get it now unless within the 8 months I brought mine they no longer stock it. 👍
Hello Joel, I am going to replace the same weld on tie-rod end in the very near future too. A questions if I may - when you cut off the old tie-rod end was there a hole in the tube or is it solid? Any other information you could pass on would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Matt
Hello Lance, I have recently acquired a 65 with power steering and Multipower (yep, I’m a lucky boy!) and also need to replace the weld on tie-rod end. I’d be very interested to see how you managed to replace yours - any chance of a short video on the replacement when the time comes? Your series of videos on the MF65 have been a fantastic source of information and pleasure. Thanks in advance. Matt
I always spray all bolts and nuts with WD40 at least a week in advance and then again a couple of days before starting to dismantle. It usually saves a lot of headache and busted knuckles!
those tire rod ends didn't have a grease fitting 4 them and U couldn't grease them that's why they aren't no good 😮😮 now when U put new tie rod ends on U need 2 put a grease fitting on they don't last long if U can't grease them 😮😮 OMG 2 16 2O24
Brilliant comment and one of the reasons I love this channel .... "if you can't do that you shouldn't be playing with your tractor" ---Classic Lance 🤣
Thanks 👍
"if you can't get the cowl off you shouldn't be playing with your tractor" -- lol that's a quotable quote right there!
True though, lol

Thanks Philip, Im tackling the stubs this weekend and my air cleaner is a mess as well with it not being serviced for 34 years apparently.
Great video Lance, we're on the way with the 65!
Right on! And I have a few parts ahead of me so hopefully I can keep it going slowly.

Yes I will be doing that for sure on the drag link.

I often do as well if I have the time or think to do it.
Love the intro
Thanks Bob, Something new to freshen things up.
Bolts in good easy place to remove it. Broken bolts and studs usually in a prix of a place to work on.
Yes I got a little lucky with this one.
Hello Lance, Well you did use the breaker bar eh. Regards, Charles @ Nerimbera
Well yes I did. 😃
A little worn here and there but overall in good nick, I feel for the old tractor I’m also turning 60 next year😉😊
62 later this year for me, I think we must just be coming good.
How did you get the ball joint off of the lower pitman arm.
undone the two outer tie rod ends and the lower arm and same procedure as in the top drag link ball.
The 65 had the same front end as a 175 the 175 power steering fit the 65 and some bits of a 165
Yes the remained very similar up the front for many years.
thumbs up
Thanks Joshua.
Looks like you may have got a little too serious, lol. Thats an easy one. Keep smilin
Yes easy to remove for sure but I thought I would show how to get it out as it may help someone out.
@@BundyBearsShed That's for sure. I need that kind of help because of my lack of experience removing broken bolts. Thank you very much!

I bought the tractor as a wreck to fix so no problem.
Did you want a copy of the manual mate?
Yes please, bundybearsshed@gmail.com
