How To Replace A Tractor Front Axle Bush with Basic Tools on a Massey Ferguson 135 Swept Axle

- In response to some questions on the Massey forums, you don't need expensive tools and presses to change front axle bushes no matter how corroded or old they are, clean prior, soak, heat/warm, even internally grind and collapse bushes if required but its not that hard.
THANK YOU!!! for this GREAT and inspiring video!! Cold temperatures, grubby clothes, dirty tractor parts, basic tools... in other words, just exactly what 99% of us face when making a mechanical repair! This video is a much appreciated change from the unrealistic variety where everything is new and clean and it looks like the video was shot in a studio. Thank you again.

Thank you for this very helpful video. For some reason, the model we have had only 1 bush. The bush was so grasped we had to go to a machine shop to ask for help. The person in charge took the beam and tried on the press. It didn’t go! He had to use a torch to weaken the bush and then on the press it came off😁
We installed 2 bushes, a new pin and the MF is back on the track😁

Thanks 👍 the single bush is the normal standard unless loaders etc were specified anything applying extra load on the front axle.
@@TinkerBod that’s good to know. With the second bush in place, we had to modify the nut that locks the bolt. That done, the rest of the operation went perfectly!
