I was once driving to Berlin and picked up some guy who needed to go there too. He sat with me in the front, but he was beeing really weird and quiet. After some time he asked me if he could go sit in the back. I didnt think much of it. So I stopped and as he was exiting the car I had a weird felling that something was wrong. I panicked and just drove off without him. Later i realized that he left his backpack in the car and searched it. There was one single guitar string, no guitar, just the string(You can easily choke people with it, its really hard to break). Couple months later I saw him on the news, he was a killer and had killed 2 people with the same method with what he probably was trying to kill me.

    When my mom was 16ish

I had a gut feeling that I shouldn't leave from work quite yet, so I waited a few minutes. I went home, got about halfway, and had to take a left turn. There's two left-hand turn lanes, and my gut told me, "get in the left lane" even though I usually get in the right lane, especially since there was a truck ahead in the same lane that I was in. My gut ALSO told me to hang back. Lo and behold, as the truck was turning, I heard a loud explosion as one of the tires burst and watched in horror as it tipped over and fell on its side.
I would have otherwise been in the other lane, immediately beside it as it came crashing down.

One time I was running around my neighborhood to get a good workout in. There was this white van (yes I know, cliche) sitting outside a house. Our neighborhood was very quite and rural, so obviously I didn’t really think too hard about it. About another 800 meters in, I hear a car. So I scoot over like anybody would have to let a car go by. I kept hearing the car behind me and thought surely at that point they would have passed me. I stop, turn around, and find the white van with two older looking men in the front seats. I run straight past the van (because there was a dead end on the other side) and book it all the way home. Told my mom, never seen them since.

    I have one!!!!
So, this happened when I was in 6th grade. My school was like a 7 minute walk away from my neighborhood and usually for the first hour after school ends, there is policemen or people helping kids walk the street between the school and the neighborhood. So this happened after I got out of practice which ended 3 hours after school ended. I was walking home with my headphones on. Once the lights turned red and I was able to cross the street(you get 45 seconds to cross), I got a notification on my phone (subway surfers). At this point I usually just ignored it but I had a weird feeling that I should check. So I stopped mid street with like 20 seconds to cross remaining and a car sped by right where I would've been walking, I could not move before an instant later a police car sped by chasing the other car.
I like to tell this to people when they ask why I still have subway surfer on my phone if it's an old game.
Like bitch shut the f-ck up that game saved my life, not from one car, but two.

Fast-forward two days and we go back there again, only to see the roof has collapsed and basically brought down an entire floor down with it
I don't know if it happened that exact night but i like to think it did and i saved my ass because of my paranoia

I just got back from a week-long summer camp at a Christian college, and boy oh boy, I met a kid with worse vibes than this one house that I visited last year. It was the the first day there and he, two girls, and I boarded an elevator. I could immediately tell that he was sort of weird. Then he asked us three, "How are you guys doing today?" Common question, just said okay. Then, "What are you three thankful for today?" Still a common question, especially from a Christian at a Christian summer camp. But for some reason, it made my gut drop, and I could tell that the other girls also felt pretty weirded out. So, "basic answer" from all of us. Glad to have gotten off that elevator quickly, but he was still in my class. He was relatively nice the entire week, but that gut feeling never left. He's going to kill somebody one day, and I plan on always remembering his face for when the news story drops in ten years.

I remember one time my brother woke up and said that we needed to get outside the house. My mom was confused and asking him why, but all he said was that he thought he smelled something and he was scared. No one could smell anything. My dad went around the house to see if anything was wrong, but there was nothing, but my brother kept on asking if we can leave because he didn't feel good about us staying(BTW he was like 10 and I was like 5). So, my mom finally called 911 and the firefighters came. Come to find out we had some sort of fire in the tubes of the sink, and if my mom didn't call, the house would have blown up.
Another one was when I was younger and I had got sick. It was a regular cold. When my my mom called her sisters, one of them to bring me to the doctor, because she had a bad feeling about it. My mom was confused as to why she was so concerned, but she probably thought her sister didnt want me to catch the flu. My mom took me to the doctor and turned out it was some sort of bacteria that was attacking my immune system or something like that, and the doctor told my mom if she wouldn't have took me to the doctor, I would have died in my sleep.

Not necessarily gut feeling but my memory has always been strange in the things I remember. I couldn't remember my best friend's birthday for the first three years of knowing her but I never forgot her middle name after hearing it once. And not even directly to either one of us.
Anyway, I was at a park one time and I was looking at a license plate. Something in my mind decided to memorize it. A lady started screaming somewhere behind me. I turn around and see a guy running with her purse.
The police got there and my friend (who is eighteen) was telling them what he saw. They asked if anyone saw the license plate and, completely absent minded, I yell out the plate number.
The police got the information they needed and continued with their days.
My friend turns to me while we were leaving and said "how in the living fuck did you do that?"
And all I said was "ya know, I'm asking the exact same thing."
I was later notified that they caught the dude. To this day, my friend will look at me and wonder how I did that.
    So that's me

I had a gut feeling once , I felt fine I was getting ready for school (I was about 10 or 11 and I walked to school alone) but as soon as I opened my front door to leave I felt something wrong, there was a guy dressed in all black watching me from across the street, bearing in mind it's mid summer and incredibly hot. Anyway I carry on walking but keep the man in sight I turn to walk on down my street and he crosses over and starts following me I begin to walk faster and I hear him walking faster I could feel his breath on my neck so I decide to slow right down to let him pass, he doesn't I decide to try one more thing before booking it back to my house, which my sister and mum was luckily in so I stop and he stops behind me for a sec, I pretend like I'm fixing my shoe and after about 10 seconds of him stood behind me he walks past but then stops and watches me just past this hedge on the corner of my road, I take this chance to buck it back home and tell my sister, my mum rings the police and I tell them about him, later I found out he's raped a school girl and sexually assaulted 2 girls on a park nearby they caught him because of my description and I'm alive

I have a story! It happened to me yesterday. I was walking back from a babysitting job, it was like 10pm, so quite early for me to be walking home and it was still quite light out. I walked past a house with an open garage and I got a really uneasy feeling in my gut. So I held onto my handbag tightly and took out one of my headphones, so I could hear whats going on. As I got further away I kept looking back and the feeling was getting stronger to the point I felt sick and I just booked it all the way home, I ran past a family who was walking in the opposite direction and they looked at me like I was crazy, but I kept on running. I looked back one last time, before I turned the corner to my house and I saw a guy running down the road that I came from and I booked it into my house and locked the door. I am so glad I listened to my gut, because he ran all the way to my house and stood outside my door for a second before walking off again. I don‘t know what would have happened if I hadn’t listened to my gut and ran home.

One of of my gut feeling moments was literally just last night. I was outside with my parents along with my bff and her mother around 3am having fun. Me and my bff decided to leave the parents alone and started to walk to the front fence (I live in apartments) so our parent could still see us we we're standing in the middle of the road leading to gate when I had a gut feeling to run to the gate as fast as we could. I grabbed her hand and ran. No even 3 seconds later a white car drove past us really fast. Like if it hit one of us we could be dead. The car pulled into a parking lot really shity so it hit the poll. My parent came running at us to make sure we we're okay cause they didn't see us run but I decided to throw a rock at the. Wich made them stop for a little. During those three seconds another car cane speeding in. That when I decided to grab my friend and run to our parents. Let's just say I'm glad I'm alive

    Story time.
When I was probably 10 or 11 years old, I was walking back from the store with my then bestfriend and my younger sister. The store was only at the end of our street and a few steps away. No biggie, a relatively short walk. Anyway, a bit halfway into our way home, some teenage looking dude dressed in all black was sitting on the steps that lead to a pathway to someone's house. The dude stops us, pulls his backpack in front of him, reaches inside, and says, "Hey, I got something for you." For some reason, I got a terrible sense of dread, so I just booked it. My then bestfriend and younger sister soon took after me, seeing that I was in a panic for some reason, but the dude starts running after us. We ran into our apartment building and stayed in the lobby area where the security desk could have a clear view of us. In order to get into our building, you had to get access to 2 doors, either you had to have keycard access or the security had to buzz you in. The dude didn't even come in. Instead, he saw that one of our male friends was exiting the building and handed him something. That same friend came back inside and told us that the dude said that we dropped something and wanted to return it to us. All the while he was saying this to us, the friend hands us a hairtie.
I knew damn well that there was no way that the hair tie belonged to any of us. We were young and didn't even put our hair up that often. We didn't even see that dude on our way to the store. And why the hell would some teen dude have enough interest to run after 3 little girls to return a plain black hairtie that didn't look significant even in the slightest?
In the end, I had no idea what the guy's true intentions were. He could've had a knife or a gun in that backpack, but who knows. I've never seen him again since that day, and that's all that matters.

When I was about nine or ten, I lived in a camper in some big park area. There was a pool, a playground, and a dog park, and I think there was multiple of each. I used to walk to the playground so I could read a book under a tree. The playground had a pirate ship theme, and it had a top part (a deck, I guess) and then you could go under it. One day, this older kid - and I mean fourteen to sixteen years old - came up to me and started trying to play. I humored him for a bit, but then he started trying to get me to go to the bottom part of the ship. It was pretty closed off, and I got some really fucking creepy vibes from this kid, so I refused. He said he wanted to go grab some of his friends, and I needed to wait there for him, so I waited until he was gone and I fucking booked it back to my camper.
90% sure I avoided getting raped there.

My gut told me to pick it up, so I told the two girls I should pick it up, the foster mother said don’t pick it up, but I really really wanted to. I kept turning around because I wanted to go back to get it, then I see a man walk past and pick it up, he opened it and it was full of money. He smiled and put it in his pocket. if/when it was found out that you had the money you (and likely your foster parent) would have been in trouble…
If it was legal money it’d be in trouble with the law, BUT if it was illegal money like from drug dealing, money laundering, prostitution, etc the criminals could have hunted you down and hurt you and your foster family…
and/or forced you to make up for the money…like as drug mule or s*x worker or something…

I told my dad that she coulden't be completely clean in a year (especially with all the drugs she has been doing). Last night I figured out that she is currently in jail for stealing her ex-mother in law's stuff (Not my grandma, but her ex-husband's mom)

My mom has always said I was good at gauging people, ever since I was a baby. She likes to tell this story.
When I was a few months old, my mom was hanging out at my aunt's house to catch up and introduce me. My aunt had a boyfriend at the time. I was pretty social for a baby and would let pretty much anyone hold me. Apparently, my mom had to go to the kitchen for something and gave me to my aunt. My aunt had to go help her, so she gave me to her boyfriend. As soon as she left the room, I started screaming and crying. My mother came back and held me and I immediately calmed back down. A few weeks later, my aunt's boyfriend got busted dealing drugs. I still feel like I'm pretty good at gauging people.

An old friend of mine once had a similar story to the birthday one, but in this case, a guy he knew was a really quiet kid, one day my friend told me they had a group project and around 3 other people and the shy guy were there, after the others left my friend told me that for some reason he didnt want the shy kid to go home and ended up convincing him to stay over, my friend say that the next morning the kid just started crying and told him that he was going to kill himself that night because he couldnt deal with his abusive parents anymore, luckily after this he ended up getting help and now works as a doctor

I was walking with my sister and I had a gut feeling someone was following us. As we kept walking, my gut was screaming for me to RUNNN and so naturally thinking that if I eyed and tapped my sister on her shoulder to follow me, she’d to the same, but instead she didn’t so I rannnnn for my life and once I ran, the guy following us grabbed my sister and tried to assault her. Good thing I turned around so quickly and chased him so he ran away but my gut was right and she was okay at the end 😨

We barely made it out alive with my friend nearly being sunken into mud, me spraining my ankle & my other friends leg being torn up by barbed wire. This happened all before school so i was walking 12 hours on a sprained ankle. I sprained my ankle running out of there but i had too much adrenaline to stop.

I remember when I was about 8 or 9, my mom took me to our town's annual Jazz Fest. (It's like a bunch of jazz bands inside of a building playing together). We were there really late. Some drunk lady started talking to me, and I got a feeling that something wasn't right. My mom pulled me away and politely said we were going to go get food. I told my mom that I had a bad feeling, and she agreed. About a week later, we were listening to the news to find out that some lady had "accidently" killed a baby. We found out that that lady was the one that had talked to me at the festival, and she was also a suspicous drug dealer.

i’ve been watching more and more of these. Makes me think back to when i was coming home late at night once (stoned) and i still can’t tell if i was just being paranoid or if it was a gut feeling. I was almost back to my house when i saw some car lights driving up the street and it was about 4 in the morning and i lived on a quiet street and didn’t trust it, so i hid in a dark nearby park (i knew a spot from when i was a kid) and watched holding my breath in a quiet panic as the car went around the corner and then turned around and came back up near where i was hiding. the car slowly prowled up and down the street, turning around and looking with it’s headlights before finally leaving. Still think about what would have happened if i hadn’t hid away

i really feel for the second one. it was the end of sixth grade (so it was in april-may) and my mom was told that she didnt have to go through chemotherapy anymore. i was so, so happy. we were moving too, so i was also excited to go to a new school. about three weeks ago she passed away. she got everything in the new house but we didnt get to get unpack anything since her cancer came back so quickly. she was hospitalized almost a week after we moved into the house, and five days later it happened. i really miss her. she'll never get to see me do things that i wanted so badly for her to see. i regret not telling her that i loved her when she left in the ambulance or when i saw her in the hospital bed. it was too hard.
i was staying with a friend while my mom was in the hospital for those three days before her mom drove me to the hospital. i think it was the second night that i cried at like 1 am. i think i just had a feeling she was gonna pass. those three days were fun though! i brought my heelies over and we skated around in them. when her mom drove me to the hospital my nana told her to not tell me that my mom was going to pass. i stayed at my nanas friends house after we stayes at the hospital pretty much the whole day, and the day after i went to a friends house a broke the news to him. my mom was close with his family since we lived in the same neighborhood and our landlord is related to them. andrew cried when i told him because of that. i feel like it was the right thing to do since telling him over text wouldve felt wrong.
i recently found a journal that she only wrote about four and a half pages in. in it she wrote about how happy she was to have me and how she went through her pregnancy. she was writing in third person and calling herself "mommy" which really hit me. she wrote it in the end of 2016 or early 2017 so i guess she had a gut feeling that she was going to pass. im glad shes not in any pain anymore. it still pains me that shes not here with me but shes in a better place.
i kind of wanna go to my old school and tell my teachers but that would be too much. they knew mom was going through a lot. they knew i was going through a lot because of her coming down with cancer. my grades started dropping in the middle of 4th grade wheni had to stay with another friend for two and a half months because mom was hospitalized. they guy who was staying at the house and watching over it practically trashed it. i had to stay at the place for three more days while my mom was cleaning our house (at the time). i think we grew apart after she got invovled with that fucker. he almost killed her once because he hit her in the head with that thing you put on a hose to water plants. sometimes i think hes the reason for her getting cancer but i know thats illogical. i wish we never got involved with him in the first place. he caused mom so much greif and pain. before she met him she had ceriusus, but it had gone down (?) considerably. after, id like to say 6-7 months of being involved with him, her ceriusus got worse. i want him to pay for all the pain he caused her. i want him to die. i want him to feel all the shit she went through because of him. he diserves it, all the abuse she went through because of him.
sorry if this was too long for you to read, i completely understand that. im not sure how to summarize this.

I’ll post this on reddit later too but here it is. Ok this is my mums story but I live in the uk, and in 1986 my mum was working in London as an estate agent. My mum was due to go and show a person round a house, and he was listed under the name mr fish but before she went she had a gut feeling about the whole situation being odd but luckily the agency she worked for had a policy encouraging bringing a colleague with you if you felt unsure about something, so she did bring her male colleague. Now as soon as she got there and he saw she didn’t come alone he left, didn’t even view the house. Now that feeling was proved most likely correct because a while after this happened, the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh happened, another young female estate agent and she was supposedly meeting with a mr kipper (a type of fish) and she hasn't been found to this day.

I had a gut feeling while on a plane back from the Bahamas. We sat there longer than normal when the captain said there was light indicating there was smoke in the cabin. Now me and my mom could see the smoke but no one else could for some reason. I had this feeling to get off the plane. I told my dad I wanted to leave but he was unconvinced. We were about to leave my dad on the plane when he finally agreed to get off. The plane we got off takes off after getting cleared. But 30 minutes into a 2 hours flight it had to make an emergency landing. Never will i ignore a gut feeling again.

Yeah. I think these things can happen, its beyond our understanding as to why tho. Most of the time its little things we pick up without realizing it but sometimes its unexplainable. One time months before I went to the dr I had a dream of walking into a room and the ceiling came in I'd never seen the room before. Next time I went to the dr I walked in and had a flashback to that dream, I'd never seen that room before my dr had moved to a new building since my last visit. Sure enough I stopped and the roof came in. I was 7 at the time

Not me, but my dogs. It was a cloudy day. I took my dogs into the woods, and started walking them. Dog #2 goes about 50 feet, and does not want to go further. I tell her to keep walking, but just went with her. We walk 40 feet back to our house, and turn to another trail. Dog #1 goes 20 feet down the trail. And then stops. At this point I gave up, and walked them back to the garage. I close the side door and then not 2 seconds later, it thunders outside. Then it starts raining, then hailing. Never under estimate dogs. Also during that storm, a large stick was thrown at our house. To think, dog #2 is only 3 months old. Dog #2 has the same instinct of dog #1, a 13 year old lab. Crazy.
