    thank you for this video. Even though it is 5 years old video, I guess Imma gonna do a diy project instead of buying saddlebags for my honda rebel 500.

    Good job, those boxes are a rational and cheap solution. I use a couple of them in my RE Meteor, with approximate dimensions to those supplied by the brand, only for the right side and made of plastic. I use the ammunition boxes of 13 liters (3.5 US gallons) of 30.5x15.4x34 cm of external measurement (12x6x13.4 inches), opening at one end and only 3.4 Kg (7.5 pounds) each, to which I installed a pair of key locks instead of an outrageous padlock.
    I use the Clickfix system to fix it to the motorcycle, provided with an internal access key.
    A recommendation: contact between aluminum and ferrous materials is not convenient due to electrolytic corrosion. It is necessary to place insulation between both materials by means of suitable rubber strips, as an example.

    Totally Mind Blown!!! I have my Ammo Box for over 2 weeks now because I still don't know how to install it.
    Ive seen so many videos about intalling it but non of them came close to my case.
    I have the Royal Enfield Bullet with a side bracket already, but I dont want to weld some brackets to it to make it fit.
    Your video made my brain turned! Thanks bro!

    Those cans have been used for storing GAU-2B/A or m134 ammo as suggested by the text on the sides.
    You have minigun cans! Cool.

    Thank you, this is the best video I have found in terms of how to actually mount it well. I plan to do the same with my Honda CB500x. I was going to go with a french cleat type thing and turn knob but I like your idea with the metal hooks. Thanks!!

    7.62 MM was the size of the ammo that was in the can originally. Nice first video. I am thinking about doing this to my Tenere.

    Enjoyed your video - what a great idea!
    Curious what are the dimensions of this particular variety of ammo cans.
    I have a 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit with saddle stays, and thinking if they could work with my size bike.
    Thanks. Subscribed.
    Keep vlogging. Ride safe!

    40mm - is there a specific model number? I was looking at the 405E fat 25mm cans.

    How much do they weigh? Im planning on fitting a pair on my Royal Enfield.. My bike currently is fitted with canvas bags attached to a rack.. Im thinking of attaching these things straight to the rack..

    What do you have for rear turn signals?

    • @timking5161
      @timking5161  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wyatt Shelangoski I have some surface mount turn signals someone put on before I got the bike. They look good, but my riding buddies have said they’re hard to see sometimes out on the road.

    Where can you get those kinds of cans?

    • @timking5161
      @timking5161  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got mine at an Army/Navy store in my local town. I just had to call around to a few stores to see if anyone had some. I think you can find them online too.

    I believe those are 20mm ammo cans not 40mm

    • @timking5161
      @timking5161  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, thanks. They are technically the 7.62 Ammo Cans. Maybe I'll change that in the description. Thanks!

    How often do you have to remove them?

    • @timking5161
      @timking5161  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I was building them, I thought I would take them off often, but in reality I’ve taken them off very little.
