I love thrash metal period and started listening to a few other bands before Megadeth. When I finally got around to them I was around 15 years old. Their sound just about blew my damned head off. They pretty much mopped the floor with everything else I was listening to at the time. And they can still pull it off to this day...
The entire album Rust In Peace is an instant classic. Every song is outstanding! I saw Megadeth play this album live from first to last song. Awesome!!!
Oh man I’m jealous of that! I’ve got tickets to see them for the first time this September (was supposed to be a year or so ago but COVID and Daves throat cancer pushed it to this year).
Oh yeah, this song is so so so good. You should do a lot more songs off this album! There’s not a single bad song on here, they’re all crazy good. Just a seriously badass record You should do Lucretia or Take No Prisoners or Poison Was the Cure off this album next
Poison Was The Cure was my jam on this album! I remember night after night trying to nail all those lyrics. A snake you were when we met i loved you anyway.... 🤘🏻
I noticed 2 things about this reaction: 1. Jamel did not/could not stop it at anytime during playback. 2. The face made by someone being tortured in hell but loving every second of it.
@@thedenverog3585 one legal age woman says any messages sent were consensual. two adults. either way, Megadeth will be playing in September in Seattle, with or without Dave E.
@@drachireidnoc6659 "Ride the Lightning" is my favorite by Metallica, hands down. But I don't think they had the maturity at that point to counter "Rust in Peace" or "Arise." But that's just my opinion.
There is a reason why this album is widely considered the best "Thrash Metal" album of all time. You need to do the whole thing....it's a masterpiece from beginning to end.
Rust in peace is my favourite album of all time. It’s a magical audio masterpiece from start to finish and it’s up against some pretty good competition including songs in the key of life and sgt pepper
One of the hardest albums to learn for a guitar player, rhythm and lead. I've been obsessed with Megadeth for years and playing their stuff for years, but I still can't get through some of these songs without wanting to pass out afterwards. The technical ability is far above the standard of what most metal bands put out. Don't forget that Dave Mustaine is playing all those insane riffs while singing!
Now, Megadeth and Alice In Chains are my jam! Peace Sells, but Who's Buying, Angry Again, Symphony of Destruction, and Sweating Bullets and A Tout Le Monde
This is why Jamel has almost 800K subscribers.. You know metal is not his wheelhouse, but he respects it and can find it entertaining by analying the lyrics. I've listened to quite a bit of Megadeath and I'll be honest most of the time I don't have a clue what Mustain is saying. It's nice to have someone break down the lyrics.
I was depressed I’m bi-polar well all my life on Meds for it so I’m kool. It was a great day the sun getting stronger, I was spreading joy and happiness. There’s a song request that perfect stings .... “ spread a little happiness “ fits perfectly. Seen suicidal tendencies open for Megadeth back in the day. Manhattan ok 👌 thanks 🙏🏾 for listening. Your the best of the best ✌️✌️🖖 . This song kills.
You said it best at the end. “It melted my face” just about every Megadeth album, song will do that to you. Especially that album. Great reaction vid. Keep them coming good sir. Have a great day.
Wicked song from a wicked album. One the greatest metal albums of all time. When asked what 3 albums I'd need on a deserted island, this is one of them. Thanks for this. ❤
TRAMPLED UNDER FOOT... check these people out dude. the song is called "may I be excused" ( live) it's taken from the 7th annual st. john blues festival

Rust in Peace = The Perfect Metal Album! Few others in the genre continue to hold up decade after decade, every track, every riff, every solo! Even non-metalheads recognize its power and genius! So here is something that won't get a lot of requests, but I feel you might enjoy. It is punky, it is funky, and it is awesome! Suicidal Tendencies - I Don't Give a F*CK! Rust in Peace is a CLASSIC!! I think one of the first great Megadeth album as far as playing and composition that started to rival Metallica. The cover art alone is worth buying a copy.
Thumbs Up. I've been listening / following Megadeth since the mid/late 80's .. and I enjoy the songs you're reacting to by Megadeth but there's a deeper rabbit hole that can reveal amazing music, lyrics, understandings... that you'll never get to hear because TH-cam will only push the most popular to the top of choices. ..Set The World Afire, Wake Up Dead, Mary Jane, In My Darkest Hour, FFF, Lucretia, When.. many more .. Even Dave's side project is like listening to Megadeth, MD45.....
I listened to this album a lot in my teens when it came out. I still love it but went a while without a listen. Listening to it again recently, Lucretia is probably my favourite track, but wouldn't have made my top 4 back then! One of the great metal albums of all time!
Hope you do a reaction to their videos Symphony Of Destruction and Sweating Bullets. And just in case you don't know lead singer Dave Mustane was the original lead guitarist for Metallica. But he was fired before the band became super popular because he had a severe drinking problem.

YES!!
Had to check the comments first, to see which one he did.
Great Job Jamel!
For sure! That background devil voice sounds goofy af on the remaster 😃
yes.. the remaster blows chunks of Dave's stool
The Cryptic Writings remaster is the worse.
Probably one of the greatest albums in metal. Definitely a top 5 album in Thrash.
#1 thrash album, top 5 metal album.

Peace Sells!! My first concert Awesome!
Rust in Peace is an album you listen to from start to finish everytime
For all the new subscribers, Jamel does have Megadeth reactions for Holy Wars and Hangar 18.
Yep, and have been hoping he'd do this one for a long time
That's good to know. I was thinking this is a curious song pick for an intro to Megadeth.
This album got me through my service in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. It will always be a favorite.
