I've used this to browse the internet and watch videos while I'm charging. I did not do it the same way, I found another way to open browser. Yesterday all this was patched. Good so you can't watch Netflix while you drive etc but now my charge stops are going to be so much more boring..
I wonder if it was possible to just open Play Store and get the regular TH-cam app for Android tablets, not forgetting to sign out of your Google account and change the UI language back to Norweigan before returning the car to them.

It should ,in theory, be possible to sideload any android apps. Its just a matter of time before we see alot of this. In fact,I'm shocked and suprised that we haven't seen anything yet. If you can get control of the browser then you could try opening apk packages from apk mirrors and see if it will allow installing those directly. Normally it is disabled by default...but hey...you never know..Try setting up a link too and apk package from the youtube site....example : www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-15-41-32-release/youtube-15-41-32-android-apk-download/download/
Typical of Google, yeah I can see the accident reports now containing lag issues in TH-cam while crashing, unfortunately this could be the case. Knowing Google you’ll have a crash and you’ll get a pop up for good lawyers in your area
I would like such a feature but it would require an extreme amount of responsibility, so that you watch videos that doesn't require your visual attention other than short glimpses (such as news for instance) and only when driving empty highways and such. So bottom line in glad it's not broadly available.
Well, its an Android afterall, right? Maybe you can find the "about phone" menu in the system settings and activate "developer settings", then you should be able to install any apk file, so you could install Samsung Browser or Chrome on it or YT itself to watch videos.
I've tried developer mode is blocked on this android tablet. At least if you try to activate it directly from you car. However won't be long before we find different ways to tweak this software which could be good and bad..
