And it all comes down to the fact that their Founder Salazar Slytherin was a Parselmouth and was considered to be Evil. Maybe if Slytherin got the Daily Prophet Writer, Rita Skeeter to write some good stories in The Daily Prophet giving Slytherin House some much needed good publicity, people might just change their minds about Slytherin House.

I personally see Hufflepuff more on the introverted side and I honestly think that a part of me always wanted to be a Ravenclaw, but never felt intelligent enough to do so, but I really, really identified with your description of the Ravenclaw. I think if Pottermore gave me the choice I would consider choosing the eagle's house instead of the badger's house that he put me in. I really loved your video! The most complete information about Hogwarts houses that I have ever researched.
Oops, my bad. I didn't notice my typo at the time. I meant to say that Slytherin House is the more Dominant House at Hogwarts. I just happened to stumble among this quite by accident and I like it.
Slytherin, for me, hands down. But I'm a good slytherin. I'd only use curses against those who harm or threaten innocents or people I love. Also I'd want to be known as powerful and dangerous maybe even feared but not because I'm evil, because I want the dark wizards or witches to know I'd hunt them down root and stem and harm them for harming innocents.
this has inspired me to make similar difference lists for all the houses, like things they have in common but are actually different traits for example: gryffendor - determination slytherin - ambition ravenclaw - wit slytherin - cunning
As a Slytherin I can definitely see this, I’m very ambitious and I know how to get what I want leading me to be manipulative sometimes though I try not to be. I’m very determined to achieve my goals and I’m a VERY opinionated person who hates getting told they’re wrong and I often think I “know” I’m right
I’m a slytherin and I feel like it’s underrated I mean I’m kind but I got a dive to get a point done and stuff like that. And also draco wasent actually mean he was just miss understood and also who noticed the light change the color of the house I also am such a mystery sometimes and people can read me like a book. And I have to trust ppl sooooooo much then I’ll tell the how I actually feel. Like my mum my dad and my sister anyway baiiiii and this is just my opinion
Your video really is enlightening. Your explanations of the houses and their pros and cons, and the elaborations on the original descriptions and stereotypes is really helpful for Wizarding World fans that really want to understand either the house they've been sorted into, or help people figure out their true house (such as myself). Keep up the amazing content! (Also give The Grey Lady my best regards)
its pretty funny because i'm officially a hufflepuff, but for the longest time i kept getting a mixture of slytherin and hufflepuff on and off until i finally broke the tie by getting hufflepuff twice in a row haha (the absolute best part tho is that my patronus is a freaking adder, which amuses me to no end) (edit: when you said that hufflepuffs were extroverted and weren't shy to speak out, my introverted and socially anxious (not to mention awkward) self choked on my chips)
Personally, as a Ravenclaw, even though I have never seen anything in the HP canon (i.e. books, movies, etc.), I still hold the opinion that Ravenclaws are severely underrepresented and underrated. (P.s. for anyone thinking that most, if not, all Ravenclaws are introverted, just know that when I took my house quiz, apparently the sorting hat seriously considered putting me in Hufflepuff, so keep that in mind the next time you say anything about the former)
I’m a Hufflepuff (Ravenpuff mix) Honestly, this analysis made me feel very Ravenclaw. I still think I’m Hufflepuff, but u make me question it😭😂 But that’s REALLY cool! I love your take and deeper perspective into the houses, further than what’s on the surface. Great video!!💛💙
Same!! Like I definitely have that daydreaming, introverted want to know it all part but I think overall I'm still a Hufflepuff. I think it's more about what you value more. Me and my friend are both combo of those two houses but she values wisdom more and I value kindness more 💛💙

Also it made me realize I can be quite extroverted but usually just when I think someone is having a hard time or I'm around people I know. Like I'm not gonna go and make new friends just cause I can lol
I’m personally a Slytherin, and this is literally so correct... when you said they only branch out to people that benefit them and that they will argue with you until they get their point across I literally started choking on my water- huh😀🔫.
I’m a proud Gryffindor Not because of the main trio of other main characters because I love the house it’s colors and it’s history 🎩🪄🦁⚔️ P.S the correct mascot for Ravenclaw house is an Eagle 🦅 not an actual raven..that’s simply just the last name of Rewena Ravenclaw who’s mascot is an Eagle 🦅
Gryffindors are marine seargents like my brother who was 24 yo at the time & already retired from the marines. Lol. During a shooting at 6 flags, he refused to hide w us and instead guarded the stall doors with some other unarmed men. But my brother hasnt taken the pottermore quiz. Lol. But that was a Gryffindor move.
me as a ravenclaw: 14:33 no one bad is ever truly bad and no one good is ever truly good. Bad people could have done good things, help other people... Good people could lie, feel envy of something that the other person has. The world are just like, countries, unhappy with the size of their country, would go murder or commit arson just for that but they could also come together
I honestly think you described me to the T with Gryffindor but other quizzes have sorted me in literally all other houses 😂 which reminds me of another trait. I think you forgot to mention Gryffindors may fit in other houses but can decide which house they want to go to, for example, Harry kinda told the sorting hat he didn’t want to be in Slytherin, so he had the nerve to tell the sorting hat what to do, I think that’s one of the many traits a Gryffindor has. And honestly I think I’d do the same since I’m extremely impulsive.
Here's one more example of Ravenclaw getting forgotten: it's the only House that doesn't come up in predictive text. And that's not only because of my own writing, because this is a phone where I've only ever written "Slytherin."
I'm a hufflepuff 💛🖤, I was kinda close to a Slytherin. But Sirius said: we've all got light and dark inside of us. Because I lied to my parents otherwise they would be angry at me for no right reason but I didn't lie to my friends and sister. (Got something to do with internship tasks for school).
His fatal flaw is having so much loyalty. He's so loyal to his loved ones, in which point he can do anything to protect them. And one of the main hufflepuff traits is loyalty.
"Gryffindors are definitely known for their loyalty. While they aren't the only house that exhibits this trait, they are thought of the most as being loyal and devoted to people as well as to causes" there you go
Bruh, Percy is also Slytherin, we all know he's ambitious and he's won alot of this battles by tricking his enemies, he's cunning Also Loyalty is also a Slytherin trait
@@illstealyourkneecaps694 LMFAO Percy isn't cunning or seeking power. I googled his traits to see if I forgot smth and "Personality: Percy is good-natured, friendly, brave, and willing to risk his life to save his friends, strangers, and even his enemies." So yeah... Gryffindor. Although not all Gryffindors would risk their life to save their enemies cuz f- that. And nah, loyalty isn't a Slytherin trait edit: he's mischevious, like a Gryffindor. Not cunning like a Slytherin. The people he tricked were in moments of chaos and if he didn't do it, someone was going to die - or someone he loved was gonna get hurt. But in general, Percy's not a "deceitful, devious, sly and power hungry" person - he's daring, bold, determined, loyal, mischevious and brave. I know Slytherin also has determination but Gryffindor also own it
*House:* Ravenclaw *Patronus:* Grey Squirrel *Wand:* Chestnut wood with a unicorn core 14 ½" and unyielding flexibility. Finally took the time to make a profile and take the tests! Though I had already guessed I was a Ravenclaw, 'tis certainly joyous to see it confirmed. As a Ravenclaw I can tell you, I would go out of my way to learn the Dark Arts with no intention of ever using them, just for the sake of learning. Meanwhile my actual studies would be neglected. Houses have absolutely no relationship with Zodiac signs. The latter have no basis in reality, merely tentatively shoehorning meanings derived from Classical mythology into random apparent groupings of stars from our point of view. There is no connection between stars and personality. Hogwarts houses, on the other hands, are based on objective descriptions of one's personality. Thus their rather akin to psychological tupology. They're the exact opposite of Zodiac signs, in which they are firmly defined as being based on personality, rather than Astrology which is mere lunacy.
I'm hardworking, honest, charitable, nice, and find it easy to approach ppl like a Hufflepuff. I'm Dreamy, intellectual, and love knowledge and stories and wisdom for wisdom's sake, but I like to keep to myself more than anything, like a Ravenclaw. And I'm ambitious, ruthless, practical, and goal oriented like a Slytherine. I have no idea which house I fit into the most, I just know I'm not Gryffindor.
this are the zodiacs as houses gryfindor: fire signs (aries, leo, sag) confident, brave, impulsive, good leaders, passionate. hufflepuffs: earth signs (capricorn, taurus, virgo) loyal, hardworking, dedicated, determined, patient. ravenclaws: air signs (libra, aquarius, gemini) intelligent, clever, independent, witty, observer, curious, creative, analytical. slytherin: water signs (cancer, scorpio, pisces) cunning, ambitious, innovative, charming, intelligent
I'm a Slytherin and I agree with most of your definition instead of people saying like "Oh Slytherins are evil and boring" because I've seen that and it's not true at all lol
Im half ravenclaw half slytherin. I know people have all four traits, but I genuinely cannot pick between my two because I’m ambitious, prideful, but I’m also knowledgeable and I value knowledge and creativity. The only thing is im not too creative (more of a logic person) so I wouldnt be able to answer that damn eagle’s riddles
As a Slytherin you aren’t wrong. Also can I just say Ravenclaw’s deserve more recognition. I’ve just gotten into Harry Potter and I kept on going back and forth on what house I was in (Ravenclaw or Slytherin) and on all the tests I took I got Slytherin (FUN FACT: I have a snake phobia💀).
i have to say it: Percy Jackson is a Hufflepuff to me! the guy's fatal flaw is literally loyalty and bravery was never what he valued most. like yes he is really courageous and chivalrous and everything but he always embarks on the quests with a "awh shoot i just wanted to chill in camp with Annabeth". the very first thing he says in the very first book is "look, i didn't want to be a half blood" ! a Gryffindor would be like "being a half blood is tough but it's really cool" or something like that
2:46 I wanted to be a hufflepuff when I first read the series. Simply because I didn't want to be just in Gyffindor like everyone else, and because I didn't know what Chivarly meant, but I am a Gyffindor in the sense of 1. I am brave: I was scared of the 👻 train when I was little but still would always go on on it, I was scared of 🐎 riding whenever I did it, I had an eating disorder when I was doing GCSE Food Prep. 2. I am extremely loyal to my friends, and I am very stubborn when it comes to making people like me. I am NOT the MOST EXTROVERTED.
Hi, ravenclaw here. Hum, it just sounds like you are describing me right now. You make such a wonderful ravenclaw by the way, I’m so glad to have you in our house
As a Gryffindor I hate competition and I try to avoid competition as much as I can. I am the type of people who is ready to sacrifice my place and my chances of winning in a game, to help someone else win XD
People in the comments! Remember that people aren’t stereotypes, so this is just a way to understand the houses, but it really comes down to what would you do in a crisis when you didn’t have time to think a lot. There you see your TRUE values. Hufflepuffs can be introverted and brave, Slytherins can be extroverted and kind, Gryffindors can be clever and introverted and Ravenclaws can be cunning and extroverted. But it’s about what your TRUE values are. And WHY you do your actions. So this is an awesome video, but remember to not place yourself in a box! Look at Hermione and Tonks for example, they may fit other houses with their personality, BUT why they do their actions will match their house.
hmmm, I think the Sorting Hat messed up a bit when sorting my friend (well not really friend-) because she's not at ALL nice, she DOESN'T care if someone's having a bad day and she's sorted into Hufflepuff o.o she doesn't fit any of Hufflepuff's traits either :I
Yeah peter pettigrew was a gryffindor but he was a hatstall and basicly just that we have to mention that "not everybody in slytherin are death eaters" shows how comon it is for slytherins to turn bad.

13:52 - I would also put Phineas and Ferb from P&F, Anais from TAWOG and Twilight Sparkle from MLP 🤔🧐😊
yesss i just started watching but it’s so good so far!
Oops, my bad. I didn't notice my typo at the time. I meant to say that Slytherin House is the more Dominant House at Hogwarts. I just happened to stumble among this quite by accident and I like it.
Wizardingworld sorted me into gryffindor but YOUR DESCRIPTION OF SLYTHERIN IS 10000000% ME
Slytherin, for me, hands down. But I'm a good slytherin. I'd only use curses against those who harm or threaten innocents or people I love. Also I'd want to be known as powerful and dangerous maybe even feared but not because I'm evil, because I want the dark wizards or witches to know I'd hunt them down root and stem and harm them for harming innocents.
this has inspired me to make similar difference lists for all the houses, like things they have in common but are actually different traits
for example:
gryffendor - determination
slytherin - ambition
ravenclaw - wit
slytherin - cunning
Where’s hufflepuff?!
@@devilavy5374 those were just examples, i wasn't doing all of them
As a Slytherin I can definitely see this, I’m very ambitious and I know how to get what I want leading me to be manipulative sometimes though I try not to be.
As a ravenclaw i am like that PERIOD
I felt the slytherin one so much that I could practically predict what you would say next
I love how you always switched the light to match it with the main colour of the house!
its pretty funny because i'm officially a hufflepuff, but for the longest time i kept getting a mixture of slytherin and hufflepuff on and off until i finally broke the tie by getting hufflepuff twice in a row haha (the absolute best part tho is that my patronus is a freaking adder, which amuses me to no end)
(edit: when you said that hufflepuffs were extroverted and weren't shy to speak out, my introverted and socially anxious (not to mention awkward) self choked on my chips)
I’m a hufflepuff. Thank you for everything you said about us.
Your lamp color is the same with the mentioned houses! That’s really nice
these were super accurate! i’m a hufflepuff, (which i thought was super fitting for me) but it was accurate for everyone i knew in the other houses!
I’m a Hufflepuff (Ravenpuff mix)
Honestly, this analysis made me feel very Ravenclaw. I still think I’m Hufflepuff, but u make me question it😭😂 But that’s REALLY cool! I love your take and deeper perspective into the houses, further than what’s on the surface. Great video!!💛💙
I'm a Hufflepuff with a little bit of Ravenclaw 💙💛🦅🦡. But still a proud Hufflepuff 💛🖤🦡

I’m a proud Gryffindor
Not because of the main trio of other main characters because I love the house it’s colors and it’s history
🎩🪄🦁⚔️
P.S the correct mascot for Ravenclaw house is an Eagle 🦅 not an actual raven..that’s simply just the last name of Rewena Ravenclaw who’s mascot is an Eagle 🦅
Slytherin and proud ✨
as a Slytherin, i can say that this is accurate for me personally.
I've always loved being Slytherin
I'm a slytherin. I do have a small friends in my circle who I trust and I love my family. I do have a goals to accomplish in life.
No way Percy is a hufflepuff dude’s Fatal flaw is literally loyalty
His fatal flaw is having so much loyalty. He's so loyal to his loved ones, in which point he can do anything to protect them. And one of the main hufflepuff traits is loyalty.
I think he’s both but definitely more Hufflepuff
"Gryffindors are definitely known for their loyalty. While they aren't the only house that exhibits this trait, they are thought of the most as being loyal and devoted to people as well as to causes" there you go
Bruh, Percy is also Slytherin, we all know he's ambitious and he's won alot of this battles by tricking his enemies, he's cunning
Also Loyalty is also a Slytherin trait
@@illstealyourkneecaps694 LMFAO Percy isn't cunning or seeking power. I googled his traits to see if I forgot smth and "Personality: Percy is good-natured, friendly, brave, and willing to risk his life to save his friends, strangers, and even his enemies." So yeah... Gryffindor. Although not all Gryffindors would risk their life to save their enemies cuz f- that. And nah, loyalty isn't a Slytherin trait
edit: he's mischevious, like a Gryffindor. I know Slytherin also has determination but Gryffindor also own it
*House:* Ravenclaw
*Patronus:* Grey Squirrel
*Wand:* Chestnut wood with a unicorn core 14 ½" and unyielding flexibility.
I love Being a Hufflepuff!!!
💛💛💛💛
Also my bestie is a Ravenclaw💙💙 and I love all the Houses!
The lamp. Did you see the lamp....
I have no idea which house I fit into the most, I just know I'm not Gryffindor.
this are the zodiacs as houses
gryfindor:
fire signs (aries,leo,sag)
confident,brave,impulsive,good leaders,passionate.
hufflepuffs:
earth signs (capricorn,taurus,virgo)
loyal,hardworking,dedicated,determined,patient.
ravenclaws:
air signs (libra,aquarius,gemini)
intelligent,clever,independent,witty,observer,curious,creative,analytical.
slytherin:
water signs (cancer,scorpio,pisces)
cunning,ambitious,innovative,charming,intelligent
Usually I don't really care that much about zodiacs, but in this case it is accurate for me: I am both a Hufflepuff and a Virgo
I am a Ravenclaw with Slytherin undertones.
Hey Gryffindors where you at?
I honestly don't think of myself as creative generally but when I think about it in certain aspects such as desgin I'm creative
Look at Hermione and Tonks for example, they may fit other houses with their personality, BUT why they do their actions will match their house.
hmmm, I think the Sorting Hat messed up a bit when sorting my friend (well not really friend-) because she's not at ALL nice, she DOESN'T care if someone's having a bad day and she's sorted into Hufflepuff o.o
she doesn't fit any of Hufflepuff's traits either :I
Yeah peter pettigrew was a gryffindor but he was a hatstall and basicly just that we have to mention that "not everybody in slytherin are death eaters" shows how comon it is for slytherins to turn bad.
Not her LITERALLY describing me in gryffindor and slytherin LMAO lemme go call the cops real quick
As a Ravenclaw I love this
