Hey, have you ever thought about making a theory as to who would take place as new House Headmasters after Prof McGonagall became Hogwarts Headmistress and Prof Snape died? And what about the other two houses, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff?
Obviously Alan Rickman was very smart, but I think he would have been a good fit for Hufflepuff. He was hardworking, dilligent, extremely kind to his friends and fans. And fair minded. I mean look at what Dumbledore says at Cedric's funeral..."Exceptionally hardworking, infinitely fair minded, and most importantly a fierce...fierce friend." All his friends commented what a devoted friend he was. Even Daniel Radcliffe said Rickman came to his opening performance of Eqqus to support him, always made time for calls. So yes, take your Hufflepuff designation you beautiful soul. RIP.
As a person who is in between houses Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff I would have approved of him being either one 😂❤️ I agree he was very smart but also very kind. But one does not negate the other. Luna was also very smart, but brave and kind at the same time.
It's quite ironic how Tom Felton is a Hufflepuff when in the book, Draco decried the house, going so far to say he would rather not be in any house than to be sorted into Hufflepuff.
What’s funny is it seems like he was trying to get Slytherin, but ended up in Gryffindor. Then when he tried again the system was like, “Oh you weren’t happy with Gryffindor? Well, here’s Hufflepuff. Is that better?”
I'm amazed by how one person (Rowling) could create such a world that millions of people can immerse themselves in, talk about, and come up with fascinating questions for... it's wild, and wilder the more I think about it.
No kidding! To create a world that not only millions will immerse themselves in, but to do it in a way that results in so many ways to become part of that world is absolutely incredible! I don’t know how Miss Rowling did it, but I wish I did now.
She is actually a witch who attended Hogwarts around the same time as the characters. Certain details, names and timelines may have been changed but the story is fairly accurate throughout the books. Of course, no muggles are able to verify it as muggles are unable to see the magical world as it exists.
She's literally my fav actor! I knew she would be a hufflepuff, that just fits her personality so well! But I wish I could be in the same house as her😔 I'm a gryffyndor or Slytherin
I always believed that I'd always be sorted to Gryffindor... Went on to Pottermore, logged in.. Took the sorting... And was sorted to Slytherin... And honestly, I couldn't be happier with it... As with Snape, or Merlin, any Slytherin can be as courageous as a Gryffindor, as smart as a Ravenclaw or as hardworking as a Hufflepuff... We're just more cunning... And I love it.

I also agree that Alan Rickman would be in Ravenclaw. From the many interviews I've watched, he seemed a very smart guy indeed; he did n't appear to suffer fools gladly. He certainly seemed to expect his interviewers to have done their homework.
People always remember Daniel, Rupert, Emma, Tom, Bonnie, Evanna, Helena, Alan, M. Gambon + R. Harris and Maggie But there is someone who is criminally underrated: the little giant Warwick Davis, aka Flitwick and Griphook.
You tackled an excellent subject here. Well done! To me, this video further proves the brilliance of the HP casting team, who chose child actors that can identify with their character counterparts, and older actors with the experience and chops to play roles that are completely different than their real-life personalities. It would be interesting to see an HP casting director's reply to this video.
Loved the video as always Alan Rickman was a very kind and caring man I wrote to his agent on behalf of a friend he replied back to me personally with such a lovely letter also wrote to my friend asking her how she was that he was glad she loved the films and was looking forward to the 4th film coming out he sent her a signed photo and some other harry potter related items R.I.P ALAN you will be forever remember
Sounds like he would have been a good fit for Hufflepuff then, as they were known for their kindness in addition to the other values they embodied. Cedric Diggory was the perfect example; he was a Hufflepuff through and through. May dear Alan rest in peace.
I tbh think that J.K Rowling should be in ravenclaw as she thought up all the Harry Potter books including the plot twists. I'm pretty sure it would take brains to come up with such an awesome book because it's been decades since Harry Potter was written and there are still probably MILLIONS of potterheads!
Who said there cannot be smart people in Gryffindor? Take Hermione for example. You can't really say anything without knowing her personally, unless you do know her personally.
Alan Rickman once said he would have to stay loyal to Slytherin, so taking his choice into account - he would be Slytherin. But I have to agree he would make a great Ravenclaw for his intelligence or a Hufflepuff for his kindness and loyality
I'd have guessed that Alan Rickman would be a Ravenclaw or maybe a Gryffindor. More videos like this would be welcome. I finally took the sorting test, and it turns out I'm a Slytherin. 🤨🤔😑 I hope that means I'm more like Snape or Slughorn and less like Crabbe or Goyle.
I took the Pottermore sorting quiz. I was sorted into Ravenclaw, the house I wanted. My wife asked how accurate I thought the test was because she didn’t get the house she expected. I said “I don’t know, but I’m definitely a Ravenclaw because I was smart enough to manipulate the test to ensure I got it, same for my patronus (cat).”
I tried tricking the quiz and am happy to say as ppl who know me and Harry Potter all say HUFFLEPUFF! yes literally 🤣 though apparently I have all four house traits as when have percentage quizzes they are literally nearly on top of each other with Hufflepuff 5-10% higher then the others with Gryffindor second and none above 50% 😅
This is fascinating. And it's interesting to see how many of the actors actually value hard work instead of fame or fortune. I'm a Hufflepuff too... and am devastated only because I look horrible in yellow! Hahahaha
I personally think Alan Rickman and Emma Watson would be Ravenclaw. Both academic etc. I always related to Hermione aswell. I have the huge bushy hair (Irish genes) and love books so much I did both my BA and MA in English Literature. I think it's sweet how into HP Tom Felton still is!
I believe that Alan Rickman was either a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin because he was able to make himself aware of his own life story by writing it out a biography of his life before he died
Probably aren’t going to get a lot of professed Slytherins or Ravenclaws based on polling ACTORS. Griffindor & Hufflepuff have attributes closer to acting as a profession (or stealthy Slytherin). The other houses’ attributes that made these movies amazing are behind the scenes. Ravenclaw is a perfectionist = necessary for production, direction, and more. While ambition=Slytherin, is the belief and the force behind making it all actually happen! Love the concept and the content, good work!
Ravenclaw always struck me as kind of being like the "theater kids" house, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the actors in the series were Ravenclaws (but maybe that's my personal bias since I took the Pottermore test and was sorted into Ravenclaw). I definitely think Alan Rickman was a Ravenclaw like Warwick Davis, not to mention I feel like if Severus Snape had a less tragic upbringing he definitely could have been an excellent Ravenclaw since he valued brains over brawn.
I remember when the movies came out and back when it was the most popular thing...my primary school decided to make a house system based off these four houses. It went on for years and we participated in all these competitions against each other. I was in Gryffindor house. I say red suits me and I am brave and act on impulse on many occasions.
I wanted to be a Ravenclaw, but Pottermore sorted me into Hufflepuff-- I was a bit surprised, but decided the quiz was accurate. Would have been traumatized if I had been sorted into Slytherin.
I'd have guessed that Severous Snape would be a Ravenclaw or maybe stay a Slytherin. I took the sorting test, and it turns out I'm a GRYFFINDOR, my favorite house! ❤❤❤
The first time Felton was trying to give answers which would get him sorted into Slytherin. He would have probably been sorted into Hufflepuff the first time as well- have you noticed how much he tries and makes sure to be as open heart-wise every single time? Granted, we don't know him personally but, as far as we know that seems like thing he cares the most about; working hard, being humble, being loyal and sweet.
💛🖤🦡 I've taken the quiz on multiple occasions and each time I've gotten my house, Hufflepuff. I love my house, and I couldn't think of any other house I would want to be in. I'm exceedingly excited to explore the Hufflepuff common room in the Hogwarts Legacy!
It doesn't surprise me in the slightest, the Hogwarts houses are very similar to the quadras within Socionics, which is a system that sorts people into types based on their personality traits. The ones who got a different house also make sense because of variations in quadra leans.
I think Snape would have been a Gryffindor. He bravely played a double agent. He also protected Harry while also hating him at the same time. He could have also been sorted into Ravenclaw considering he nearly rewrote the Potions textbook himself. He also arrived at Hogwarts his first year knowing more curses than students six years older than himself. I honestly could see the Sorting Hat being in a hat stall with Snape.
You know, that Rupert Grint entry makes me think that isn't coincidence. I suspect the trio deliberately embody traits of the other houses, as sort of a way of "unifying" them. (I mean, we already know that Harry and Hermione were between two houses to begin with, so it isn't a stretch to assume that Ron could have been a Hufflepuff also.)
I get excited as hell every time I see you’ve uploaded. I truly enjoy the videos. I saw some of these actors get sorted and most of them weren’t truly Gryffindor.
I think it's probably hard to completely switch off the character you've played if you take a test directly linked to the world of that character. That could partly explain why so many cast members got the same house as the person they played. Back when I was a teenager I played the gangster girl Luren in the Swedish version of the musical Bugsy Malone, and if there was a similar sorting quiz to which gangster gang you'd be sorted into, I think it's likely I would end up with Fat Sam, just as my character, even though that's not really who I am as a person
Ive taken the pottermore test many times and I got Hufflepuff and Slytherin the most. Ive got ravenclaw and griffindor once. So thats pretty intresting😊
I saw a video some years back where some of the Hogwarts student cast was getting sorted and the chances of such the lottery of being in the same house as their character is a 2 out of 5 at best.
So Hogwarts, I am so Hufflepuff,.with a 10 inch wand, a silver lime wood, with a unicorn hair core with a slightly yielding flexibility...my patronus is a nebelung cat. For Ilvermorny I am a Thunderbird!!
I personally think, that Snape is 100 % a Ravenclaw. He is a really smart guy, he was a successful student, he invented many spells and is one of the strongest wizards. And Alan supposed to be a Hufflepuff, IMO. By the way, I knew I'm a Revenclaw long before I took the quiz))
Wish I could do a sorting, but the interactive parts of the site are not designed accessibly. Neither any of the three screen readers I have here, nor Braille, will work even though Warners claims to the contrary. As is usual with these things I was brushed off when I tried to bring this to their attention. That's partly why I love channels like this so much because I feel excluded from Wizarding World. Thank you for all your work.
@Anna's Mind 444 Kia ora, Anna's Mind444. I'm a new fan, having only picked up the books for the first time last June. However, in thinking about it I believe it would probably be Ravenclaw, although I can think like a Slytherin when I feel it necessary, I value wit very highly indeed. This is a most interesting discussion.
@@kertanrajpal6108 Kia ora Kertan Rajpal. To participate in the House Sorting on Wizarding World I would have to first find a mouse, a requirement for any sighted user, navigate to the quiz and then turn off my screen reader so the person could sit at my computer and fill in the questions for me. In this 21st century this is pretty demeaning as I don't erquire assistance with most things. Only a paid service like AIRA would, with trained people to remote into my machine, would be a viable alternative, and I rather think they'd have more important things to do than help someone fill out a quiz like this. What really galls is that Warners has the temerity to crow about its accessibility on the actual site without, apparently, having tested it at all. Nga mihi
@@kyleethekelt If it were a trusted person perhaps they could use their own computer and log you off. A shame that the site is not truly accessible for you.
It's basically a personality test. Not all of our personalities stay the same throughout our whole lives. Especially compared to when we were children.
I took the sorting thing and you can manipulate it because the words it uses you know what house they’re referring to and so I think it’s easy to get the house you want. It’s still cool
The director of one of the movies gave them homework and based on how they did it the director knew the roles were casted perfectly. I’d imagine they’d be in their houses.
I'm completely biased but I think Rickman would have been a Ravenclaw. 🦅🦅💙💙 The rest of these I can totally see as actors do bring a lot of themselves to their roles. Those actors sorted into Hufflepuff don't really surprise me though as it was often commented how kind they were to their fans. Hufflepuffs are just wonderful people!
I can’t remember what which sorting hat quiz it was but the result was kind of shock for I almost always get ravenclaw but this one told me I couldn’t be sorted because I equally fit in all Hogwarts houses
Interesting how there are more Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, but no Ravenclaws or Slytherins. I did many tests and always got either Ravenclaw or Slytherin, but Pottermore put me in Slytherin and I actually agree with this.💚💚
Inpoint of fact it doesn't work at all. I am going to explain this as a teacher and writer, not as a Harry Potter fan. This is what you call Literary Analysis..... is the series well written? JKR was very clever...... but from time to time, she did nt think things through as clearly as she should. There is a pattern that occurs in books that is the "FairyTale" pattern It means that once you establish a set of rules, then the characters and the story itself stick to the rules, unless there is a REALLY GOOD reason to change and break the pattern, For example, Snape turning out to be a good guy is a MAJOR plot twist. In an ordinary Fairy Story, he would simply be a bad guy to the end. So what do I mean by The Rules? JKR says there are four houses. There are four founders. Three founders are good, and have good characteristics which combine to give strength. The three good ones oppose the fourth one who is proud and discriminating (an ultimately evil.) Once JKR ha established this PATTERN, then it MUST follow through in the story. JKR then gives us three children, and their opponent Draco. By the RULES of this story, the three children have to equate with the Three Houses, and the Three good founders. Harry MUST be Griffindor. Hermione MUST be Ravenclaw Ron MUST be Hufflepuff. ...... otherwise JKR is not being true to the story that she has created. Saying "they were all brave" is not a good enough reason. It is IMPORTANT that Hermione is clever, and that Ron is friendly and loyal. Saying "They all needed to work together" isn't enough. JKR should have simply written the plot in a way that meant the three children found some sneaky way of meeting after hours. There are half a dozen problems like this, where JKR does not follow through. We are told at the beginning that Ginny is the seventh child of the seventh child. This gives her huge power a a witch... and it MUST appear in the final battle. We are told that Snape always wanted to be DADA Master, so in the Half Blood Prince he finally gets that position. But JKR tells us nothing about what happened in his classes, during that year. In the first interactions between Snape, Potter and Hermione, Snape asks three questions. The answers to those questions must be USED in the last book.
This test should have an age requirement of 25+. Only because we only really become fully mature at that age. If I took that test at 18, compared to now, the result would be GREATLY different.

I saw a video some years back where some of the Hogwarts student cast was getting sorted and the chances of such the lottery of being in the same house as their character is a 2 out of 5 at best.
As a Ravenclaw it makes me happy that the head of our house was sorted into the our actual house :)
Lol that thumbnail. Looks like Tom Feltons first time eating edibles
4:36 he play griphook in the sevent movie its an american acter how play griphook in movie one
I'm proudly in Ravenclaw house. My wand is an Elmwood with dragon heartstring core, 13" with unyielding flexibility. And my patronus is a bull mastiff
Hufflepuff really the chillest out there
So Hogwarts, I am so Hufflepuff,.with a 10 inch wand, a silver lime wood, with a unicorn hair core with a slightly yielding flexibility...my patronus is a nebelung cat.
For Ilvermorny I am a Thunderbird!!
I did the Harry Potter test and I got sorted into Gryffindor
Was gary oldman also a gryffindor like Sirius black?
I accept Alan Rickman as a Ravenclaw. It's not like I'm bias or anything.
* cough * I'm a Ravenclaw * cough *
I was originally a Huffelpuff. I lost my login and years later, I joined again, and then I went to Gryffindor. Rickman would have been a Ravenclaw.
I Always get gryffindor, although in all sites but got ravenclaw and slytherin once. But all other tests in the different sites was always gryffindor
0:36 is Tom Felton played by Draco….slight mistake there not meant in a mean way
wait what- how come I saw a video of tom felton getting sort into slytherin irl with his family-
Emma Watson seems more of a Ravenclaw than a Gryffindor
And Tom Felton finally got Slytherin house in Hogwarts Legacy 😂
Emma Watson confirmed she was Ravenclaw in her interview of Lin-Manuel Miranda
And Lin-Manuel Miranda is So Slitherin!
Always thought I was a Gryffindor growing up, took the quiz recently & it turns out I’m a Ravenclaw
You could have someone else read the questions to you... would that work? :)
I always thought it went down hill when it changed from Pottermore. I haven't really bothered with it since.
I'm Hufflepuff and my Patronus is a Osprey
It's basically a personality test. Not all of our personalities stay the same throughout our whole lives. Especially compared to when we were children.
Jk rowling: **sorted into gryffindor**
Me, a ravenclaw: **SCANDALIZED**
My main thought in every movie with dark rooms, space travel..... I internally yell TURN ON THE LIGHTS.. at home -- not so internally expressed
My man and I both in Ravenclaw? Couldnt get any better
Bellatrix always seemed along the lines of Hufflepuff she is so loyal to Voldemort
He said “Tom Felton played by Draco” 😂
I honestly think Snape would be in Ravenclaw because of his dark hair. In a certain lighting it almost looks navy blue!!! 💙💙💙
I took the sorting thing and you can manipulate it because the words it uses you know what house they’re referring to and so I think it’s easy to get the house you want. It’s still cool
I'm sure about Emma is a Ravenclaw! I mean...she is so smart
would be intersting to see which houses the other actors are in
The director of one of the movies gave them homework and based on how they did it the director knew the roles were casted perfectly. I’d imagine they’d be in their houses.
I actually heard that in more recent times that Daniel was Slytherin?
A lot more HP than I expected!! I am filled with Hufflepuff pride 💛🖤💛🖤🥰
I'm a Gryffindor just took the Quiz
I can’t remember what which sorting hat quiz it was but the result was kind of shock for I almost always get ravenclaw but this one told me I couldn’t be sorted because I equally fit in all Hogwarts houses
So how can you get two different sortings. I got slytherin and hufflepuff. ❤
Flitwick Warwick played as an Ewok as wekit
0:42 Tom felton played by draco?🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think Severus Snape is between a griffindoor and ravenclaw
I was sorted into Gryffindor with a Harrier Hawk as my Patronus. Figured I'd go into Ravenclaw, but nope.
No worries! The sorting hat will sort you to the house you’d like to be in!
@@jaeeeyun I just tried to answer it honestly as possible. Not concerned about it, it is just an algorithm and Gryffindor is fine.
Interesting how there are more Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, but no Ravenclaws or Slytherins.
I did many tests and always got either Ravenclaw or Slytherin, but Pottermore put me in Slytherin and I actually agree with this.💚💚
I still feel like Hermione would have made a good Ravenclaw, but I get why it works better how it is.
Inpoint of fact it doesn't work at all.
I am going to explain this as a teacher and writer, not as a Harry Potter fan.
This is what you call Literary Analysis..... is the series well written?
JKR was very clever...... but from time to time, she did nt think things through as clearly as she should.
There is a pattern that occurs in books that is the "FairyTale" pattern
It means that once you establish a set of rules, then the characters and the story itself stick to the rules, unless there is a REALLY GOOD reason to change and break the pattern,
For example, Snape turning out to be a good guy is a MAJOR plot twist. In an ordinary Fairy Story, he would simply be a bad guy to the end.
So what do I mean by The Rules?
JKR says there are four houses.
There are four founders.
Three founders are good, and have good characteristics which combine to give strength.
The three good ones oppose the fourth one who is proud and discriminating (an ultimately evil.)
Once JKR ha established this PATTERN, then it MUST follow through in the story.
JKR then gives us three children, and their opponent Draco.
By the RULES of this story, the three children have to equate with the Three Houses, and the Three good founders.
Harry MUST be Griffindor.
Hermione MUST be Ravenclaw
Ron MUST be Hufflepuff.
...... otherwise JKR is not being true to the story that she has created.
When the realization hits that you are not a slisorn😂
Sorry Tom
Cedric diggory is definitely a griffendor
