I remember wanting the Optimus Prime toy, but got Megatron instead.
Five-year old me was devastated, but little did I know that Megatron would eventually become my favorite Transformer.
Weirdly enough. Megatron was the best for me. While hotshot was best for the autobot side.

Giving Starscream the the G1 Twin Twist/Topspin jump gimmick is oddly nostalgic and sacrilegious at the same time.
These were honestly really good for free happy meal toys. But I think the animated figures were probably the best Transformers fastfood toys.

I was I think 8 when those came out and was just then getting into Transformers and the fact that they actually transformed was so cool to me
The animated star scream one was so bad
I had a small rant to my mom yesterday about mcdonalds toys that dont do their brand's gimmick, like legos that dont lego or transformers that dont transform. Even if these have a horrendous transformation, they did in deed transform so much is forgiven.

I remember when my mom bought me these in a huge bag she found at the goodwill and it also included the 2007 transformers from McDonald's
I actually owned the Megatron one as a kid. I do remember it having very stiff arms and legs just like in the video.

I usually get a double or triple cheeseburger plain. With just meat and cheese. And some fries. That's basically it. Also, these toys are awesome! Great review.

Also, at 7:01 the transformer, looks like it has a really fun play feature or a gimmick
On the white Transformer with the blue head if you turn the head around it's also the top of the motor and actually is one of the two better Transformers in the set that actually looks like a car when it's a car and actually looks like a Transformer when it's a Transformer while a lot of them just look like some kind of bulky nightmare
Ironically out of them all, Cyclonus is the most accurate to his official figure. It’s literally the same transformation, just blockier XD
I remember these in great detail. I was like 3 or 4 when these came out. I dont even remember if I HAD one. Transformers just kinda sticks with me.

Pull starscream back farther and give him more room to gain speed to jump change, red alerts head is the motor sticking out when you twist his head around, Cyconus chopper mode you tab in his legs in his back to make them stay, optimus has glow in the dark hands
Mine is a big Mac and chicken sandwiches those are my two favorite things. Also fun fact you can just get a double cheeseburger with extra anything and with Mac sauce and you got a big Mac.
I never got any of the Armada figures, but I still have my chonky Mcdonald's Transformers Energon Optimus Prime.
That optimus prime was everywhere for a few years, you could even find it abandoned in sand pits at parks

Cyclonus’s gimmick breaks very easily
When I was little I had these transformers toys that would just open its windows as the arms and then just its head would go up and that's it

Prime and megatron have glowing parts. I am disappointed they didn't seperate primes eyes atleast. Megatron is a fave. If he was given regular colors or galvatron colors. He would be near perfect legends scale armada megs.
Was there several versions of these I got the Megatron but not translucent

my favorite thing from mcdonalds is nothing at all, i worked there for 6 months, and the food was horrendously made with absolutely no regards to what the customer wanted. Only fast food place i eat now is Burger King.

I have Megatron (missing the turret) and Hot Shot! Megatron is actually a decent Legion-class representation of the full-size toy/character.
I gotta say the animated transformer toys that McDonald’s did were better than the armada toys.
