new favorite trailer setup is attaching the robot mode gun into the the top of the little missile rack and having it point through the gaps at the fore end of the trailer. the gun will clear the top of optimus in truck mode, and can even act as an artillery piece by removing the trailer treads from their tab slots, and tilting the whole trailer up. the treads will keep it more or less balanced
0:17 cause people at Hasbro is compensating for something. The toy isn't even packaged that when you pull it out of the box it gives you a wow factor like MP's or other premium priced toys. He's just in the center and since I tend to keep commander class boxes, they take more space than I want them to.
It's nice to be able to rotate both arms 360 without worry or fear of breaking the wires. ^ ^ (The original Armada figure had a light up gimmick but I broke mine right away not realizing there were wires in the whole arm......)
I bought this without even thinking because of how good this figure is Ps: Also the front bumper peices can easily transformed if you grab by the outer edge and pull. It will pop out and easily will move to the the place for transformation
I remember my parents getting me the original figure for my 11th birthday when Armada was still on Cartoon Network; and I absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely be getting this.
Love this figure. Dont know if it's just me getting used to my figure or its some other thing, but the two issues I had with it (the front grill piece not clicking in right and the shoulder pieces popping off) happened less and less.
Pre-ordered the reissue. This is a massive step up from the original Armada toy, which I was lucky enough to own as a kid. Articulation for base Optimus is infinitely better, and I like that the smoke stacks are now just attached. The OG toy you could swap between a clear, smoke grey or a solid silver-ish which made them prone to falling off all the time. I also remember his joints being kinda loose, but that’s probably bc I played with him all the time. The super mode sacrificed pretty much all articulation for electronics and gimmicks. That’s just what I remember
One minor mistransformation I noticed on the Super Mode: the feet for Prime's regular mode flip up to fill in the gaps on the back of the Super Mode forearms. Doesn't affect articulation or anything, just helps clean the arms up a little more.

Can turn the base mode around, have the truck support stands facing forward as cannons and the missile pod facing forward. Then turn the turret around. It helps a lot

I think you might have missed the tab for the base bots chest. It keeps the crotch pieces together a lot better, not perfect but better

I have 2 copies. ( obviously for both modes ) my first copy seems to have those bits stiff. But the other more loose.
