@@theguyjoshua7352 rodion's would be generally better by merit of healing then. generally, a character with less hp is more likely to die, but a character can have lower percentage while still having more hp than other allies and thus less likely to die. it scaling off of her own stats means you can run a tanky rodion to heal an ally for big number, whereas mersault can still end up healing a character for peanuts if they have low max hp.

Honestly its more so acheiving the set up that is the “difficult part” in a timely manner and even when rng is not on your side its not that hard especially thanks to LCCB ishmael’s S2. And with Everlasting providing 10 potency and count. Its damage potential while nothing too crazy is still alot and often enough to finish a boss. Which imo is what tremor teams are good at when fighting outside of MD

Not considering sunshower at all for damage is crazy.
The base form is a self sanity refunding 7 attack weight that gets at minimum 20% bonus damage and at maximum 40% sloth damage and 30% bonus from spicebush
Meanwhile corroding with it ramps up the damage the more skill slots yi sang ends up with, getting at most a 120% sloth damage boost and 12 sloth power uo for three turns including the one its used on, along with the sloth and pierce fragility also being on the same and next turn.
The base form is a some what consistent damage spam ego and the corrosion is an absolute beast if you make use of its damage mods, or willingly corrode with it on solo runs

I don't want to include an Ego in multiple categories, and sunshower's teamwide stackable buffs attract me more than the slightly above average damage. Not only does it cost cheaper, it also require no set up
contempt awe require a whole lust set up to make it as powerful as sunshower.

For damage, one notable exclusion was soup don. The awakening has a free 50% damage bonus on a 25 roll 3 aoe , putting it at 112 damage, but the real draw is the corrosion. 27 on a 3 aoe with up to 110% damage bonus (technically can go up to 170% but I'll assume you're only doing a 6 slot team), putting it at 178 damage (and is fairly easy to meet full conditionals. Just have 10 extra lust resources sitting around and have as big a lust chain as you can get)
Also where is wingbeat? It is the highest single target damage ego in the game, by a country mile. And using support passives like butler faust removes most of its inconsistency

I feel you are greatly underestimating the chances to get a high roll on Wingbeat with just 2 support passives - Ring Yi Sang and Butler Faust (just owning 4 Lust + Gloom and having any sinking on the target). You have the following chances to get heads on every coin in the worst possible RNG from these passives: Coin 1 is 70%, 2 is 82%, 3 is 92%, 4 is 93%, 5 is 94%, 6 is 92%, 7 is 90%. With the best luck, coin 7 has a 93% and coins 4 and 5 have 95%, for example. This averages out for about a 40% chance to get all 7 heads, and you will get the 5 extra coins quite often even if you miss the first heads - so it's definitely not 1 in 500 or whatever to get good damage. Since you mentioned other EGOs that need support, I don't see why you wouldn't mention this EGO at all, which wants just 2 support passives.
Either way, I did enjoy the video!

    • @ultranumhere
      @ultranumhere  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@ganescus I'm glad you enjoyed. I also think you're doing unnecessary mental gymnastics to make wingbeat work when you could have done much more damage by not doing so. Ring Yi Sang is one of the best IDs in the game, running him as a support is psychotic. Butler faust requires 5+ sinking on target, and you can't forget that sinking count is spent on every hit, so at the minimum you have to have 5 sinking with 6 count to get the full benefit. This calls for the usage of a sinking team and Rime Shank to set this up in an adequate amount of time. Now back to Yi Sang. Why would you ever run any Yi Sang other than SpiceBush in sinking, when he can deal thousands of damage with the same setup. Another thing I've seen is using Hong Lu's base ego at uptie 4 for no SP loss. Between Rime Shank and Land of Illusion, you're spending a copious amount of materials on this setup. You also have to run a sinking team, and sacrifice its strongest Identity to use Yi Sang as a Support.
Is this worth the 300-600 damage?

I get that trying to consider every possible team usage for every ego would be a massive headache, but it is kinda disappointing that there weren’t any status-specific meta egos in this list. Like telepole don for charge teams, rime shank for sinking, cavernous wailing lu for tremor, and even everlasting for tremor due to its potency and count application. (Also by status-specific, I don’t mean ranking egos for every status, I mean ranking which ego’s benefit their specific team the best.) I feel like that would have been a much more interesting category to discuss, since it depends on both the weakness of those statuses and the strengths of the ego, rather than just the ego itself. Great video regardless, though.

It's definitely not consistent in any way, but Sanguine Desire feels like it should get at least a small mention even if excluding the strat of forcing ties to infinitely loop bleed. Also Regret as a support EGO because of how much its passive does for all his IDs. Maybe Ishmael Roseate Desire for a support too? Since -10 offense level and 3 Para is situationally better than Chains of Others and being same turn could sometimes be useful, but its passive also provides a ton of Bind vs single targets if Ishmael is going earlier in the turn. Could also argue Screwloose Wallop as a "support" because 2 overclocks give you +80% damage on everything for the rest of the fight, but it's fighting Regret for the slot and it has anti-synergy with Blade Lineage Meursault trying to Yield Flesh.

    • @ultranumhere

Sanguine Desire is far too expensive for that effect imo. Regret was overlooked, that's true. Roseate desire has the problem that Ishmael has to go first to get anything from it, and if she's going first she might as well pop Blind Obsession for teamwide buffs and much better clashpower than RD. Screwloose wallop is not what I would consider support, but it is pretty funny (also it doesn't have anti-synergy with YmF, meursault's passive lets him cheat death once, and with a +80% damage buff, a single tCtB is more than enough)

You're not hitting 7 heads in a row at 20 SP, while also losing more SP with every coin. It's that simple. Other Egos in the damage category either cost less SP, or only have 1 coin to hit. They also rely on damage multipliers for their output, meaning that a double-tails Contempt Awe still does 150+ damage due to the weight and damage from resonance, while Wingbeat deals an extremely solid total of 6 damage on double-tails.
Sure, Wingbeat has the potential to deal insane damage, but if we were going off of the maximum number that you can get from a skill once in a blue moon, the discussion would start and end with Everlasting, because why would we talk about anything but the 6 thousand damage button?

What is the best "Comtempt, Awe" team?

Any sin team will work. I personally prefer Envy, but the best team would probably be some Lust-bleed-burn hybrid, using RIngSang to capitalize off of C,A's bleed infliction and lust typing for more damage. The deatils of the team are up to you and your collection.
