I remember way back when part of the music industry was questioning whether or not Lou Gram really had what it took to be considered a real professional singer. They knew he could belt out his vocals well but they were skeptical regarding his ability to sing serious material......until he produced this song. It's timeless! Great reaction!

I always wondered about the video's visuals at 1:52 of the guy carrying the drywall framing while walking on the edge of the building because drywall framing really isn't that heavy. LOL... But if you take that imagery as a very loose allusion to Jesus carrying the Cross (along with the lyrics at that moment), then the song's meaning as a guy searching for God's Love does become more evident. Lou Gramm also became a born again Christian around a decade later too, which re-enforces your point.
