We say the same sentences here but with the purpose of expressing the feeling that "we are not modern and advanced enough" by taking the europe as standard. Iranians look down iturkish people for marriage they like Indian Hindu doctors as they are well off and one wife no divorce in Hindu religion and mostly look after wife and children as they see Indian families in iran
yes in Hinduism there is no concept of divorce because they believe in reincarnation and believe if male and female married it's become forever and since they believe in reincarnation the marriage bond become forever even after 1 guy dies that's why they had practice like sati were wife have to burn herself because her husband died so she also have to burn herself since they both took oath of fire that they will be forever. with time new philosophy arrived in india like islamic philosophy which believe there is only one life one death no reincarnation so marriage doesn't become forever since they don't believe in reincarnation bond and had rules for marriage and divorce
