Most fans say this album was a blip or mistake in their career. I beg to differ, this album was the "Diamond in the Rough" This song is beautiful, and absolute masterpiece. It fills me with emotions I can't even identify. They stopped the partying and debauchery for one album, we got a rare gift. Motley fans, love Motley Crue, but don't let this one slip without a fair shot.
Start to finish, kickass record. Had they been smart , Crue would have kept Corabi. He killed it as a front man and singer but he was also a badass writer. They kept their clown...how's that working out. But I agree with the choice to have gone in a darker direcrion
I'm a huge fan and it's one of my fav Crue albums. Let those silly old fans have their grizzle. Their old hairspray products on the head 24/7 have them too stuck!
I know right?? It's an amazing album , I think it must be one of my fav ones. Corabi has a grat voice and the album has a grunge style that I absolutely love
It's a great albums and mick stayed true to his classic style of guitar and Nikki Sixx is an amazing song writer and he played a major role writing since the beginning
I consider this album to be an absolute masterpiece, I don't care what name's written on the booklet....the music, the production, the lyrics are some of the best stuff recorded in the 90's IMO. If I had a time machine I'd go back and make them not call this Motley Crue so people would give it a chance back then.
Misundersood, Hooligan's Holiday and Smoke the Sky are 3 of my favorite songs on the VERY underrated S/T album. I have the promo VHS video and CD of Misunderstood, and Hooligans Holiday, as well as their poster from 1994. Saw Motley Crue in concert with John Corabi that summer.
I would pay the ridiculous ticket price to see this lineup. Terrific song with a great lead vocalist. The rest of the band sounds great too- Mick’s solo especially. 🤘🏼
Tommy is my "drumming mentor", I dig his attitude, and his style. I have read his autobiography, and I believe the media has really given him a bad rap. In "Tommyland" and "The Dirt", Tommy seems like a really cool, decent guy who just happens to be an incredible rocker! Thank you, Tommy, for the inspiration.
I am on my son's youtube account and love watching videos and reliving when music was good music. Living through the 80's and all the great bands with talent, by far this is when Motley Crue was at their best was with John Corabi. He has a much better voice that fits the band. I bought the album when it first came out and listen to it still today. One of the best Crue albums hands down.

john is a great musician/songwriter/rockstar he is also a very cool dude, glad more people are turning on to him, right on Vince runs out of breath quick..lol
big motley fan never wanted to listen to this album ..downloaded it for the first time today . its great it shoulda been shelved in 94 and released in 2012 it would give kick in the ass to the rock world ..
When it is all said and done.. Thank you CRUE for the music - no matter who sang what when or where -- your legacy lives on!!!!! At least all of us were here to hear this - lived whatever life we choose - celebrated good and bad times with the CRUE!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the end I always thought he said "Little boy with hope for lies" instead of "Little boy with hopeful eyes". Gives the end of the song a totally different meaning.
this has been one of my favorite motely crue albums. just wish more fans would have gave john a chance. no disrespect to vince. but had this album been released under a differnt band name it is hard telling the fan appreciation it may have had.
I love this song and the video. As I was only about eleven when it came out, I didn't hear it until much later. I will always think that John Corabi will do this song better than Vince Neil. That doesn't mean that I dislike Vince, I love his singing. It's just that this song was written for John to sing and that is it really.
i never gave this album a chance until i got music 2 crash ur car 2 & heard that corabi is a really good singer & that album was great & vince is real lucky that most crue fans didnt accept the new crue when it was really good
el Mejor Disco de la Banda para mi fue este sin Duda muy bueno lo escucho en mi casa todos los Días invito ha la Banda ha Repetir otro éxito como este con John.
@motleycrue05131994 I agree. And the reason no one went to the concerts is because of Grunge and absolutely no promotion from the record companies etc . This album still sounds like Motley (you can easily tell it's Tommy on drums and MIck on lead guitar), just heavier and with a different singer,
Best album The Crue ever put out! It was the only time Nikki had anybody to work with. Corabi had the rock voice and played wicked guitar. Vince just showed up and sang what Nikki told him to sing. They had good albums with Vince but nothing like this one.
Little old man contemplates suicide twice a day. Life's passed him by. Little old woman scared and blind, left alone in desperate times. Life's passed her by. Oh, life, it's misunderstood them, so they close their eyes and dream of better days. Oh, life, it's misunderstood, yeah. Life's not always fair, or so they say. Little boy with vacant eyes, daddy won't be home tonight. And he don't know why. His mother, she sits alone tangled in the web she's sewn. Lives lie to lie. Oh, life, it's misunderstood them, so they close their eyes and dream of better days. Oh, life, it's misunderstood, yeah. Life's not always fair, or so they say. Strangled, caged, left alone, doin' time in a broken home. Feelin' left to die. I'm a product of your troubled ways. You made me what I am today. Now you're asking why. Oh, life's misunderstood me, so I close my eyes and dream of better days. Oo, life's misunderstood me. Life's not always fair, life's not always fair or so they say. or so they say. Life, it's misunderstood me and I know you know that you've been there too. Time lets a restless soul fade away. Life's not always fair, life's not always fair, or so they say. Little boy with hopeful eyes, daddy's comin' home tonight. So don't you cry. So don't you cry. So don't you cry. So don't you cry.
I agree this album is really really great. The more I listen to it the more I like it (and I do like Vince as well) but this is different and Really Good!
Love this song to behonesst this song really tells the truth about life and reality I cranking it up now on the way to work and even when I'm operating my machines I have it up loud 😂
Motley defiantely should've changed the band name for this album but it's the heaviest most raw record they've ever done. Kickass record and Corabi did a great job.
As a musician I have to say Corabi's influence on this album was incredible. Crue were never as good before or after. No dis to the Crue. I think they get this.
This was/is an excellent album. Corabi does great work on the vocals. What killed it was Nikki marketing it as a Motley album. Motley is and always will be Vince, Nikki, Tommy, and Mick. Nikki should of promoted this as a whole new band with a different name.
@neverscrub12 The first time I heard the album "Mötley Crüe" I thought: "What the hell is this? It sucks" but then I listened to it again, again and again... and I began to appreciate it. After a year I can say that it's a very good album; even if is so different from all the previous LPs. But c'mon, it's great, and Corabi did a great work :)
His work with Bruce Kulick and their band Union was also great! People just weren't in tuned to them as well. I seen Union on several occassions, met the band, and bought all their cd's. Check them out if you get a chance.
this might be one of motley cure's best songs... this and hooligans hollyday(brown nose), generation swine, enslaved, bittersuite & bitterpill, all in the name of rock , piece of youre action, primal scream, hell. all the motley songs are good!!!!!
i´ve heard somewhere that corabi is consisered as the new singer for velvet revolver..that would be awesome;this song is great and corabi kicks major ass just incredible
with john corabi, motley crue could have followed the trend the music was leading in the mid 90s and change towards a band out of the glam to be inserted into the mainstream again, i like corabi and vince neil but motkey crue now can only give us a surplus of good memories

John did such a great job!!! Wish they could have done more.
Same here.
At the time I was looking forward to Personality #9 so much... *Sighs*
I loved this cd the very 1st time i heard it! THE BEST CRUE CD EVER!! CORABI RULES! THE SCREAM? HOLY SHIT!!!
gsquared38 yes the scream was a great band still is
I loved this album and it's a shame John did'nt get the recognition he deserved. He's a badass nuff said.

Me trai muchos recuerdos muy bonitos este álbum...es una lastima que jonh corabi no siguiera con motley cruel...su voz es impresionante 👍
never heard the crue sound so good, best album they ever made
shame this album didn't get more love
From my positive commenta about ti all of you, yes!
Comments,to. Typoes
I think this is the best Crue album I don't know why everyone hated so much.
I agree so much with you..this album breathed new life into the Crue.
By far the best Motley Crue album and singer. To bad nobody cared at the time.
Corabi: the best Motley Crue vocal!!

this song and the song Driftaway really hits home for me since ive gotten older and completely understand everything
love love love this song, and Motley Crue as a whole. Vince was THE front man, but Corabi's voice is amazing.
es uno de mis grupos favoritos y esa cancion y la forma en q la canta john no tiene palabars q viva motley crue y jhon corabi
Best Crue album...and probably their best song
best song?....your kidding right...tell me your kidding
I am on my son's youtube account and love watching videos and reliving when music was good music. He also was kicking ass with The Scream before he joined the Crue! This was by far their best album ever!
sound wise i love this album...good hard drivin rock n roll...corabi had the right voice for this stuff.

Great post. I bought it shortly after release out of sheer curiosity, and I did not regret the decision. Corabi delivered.
BEST MOTLEY ALBUM HANDS DOWN! CRABBY! THICK GUITAR SOUND... KILLER DRUMS... AND CRAB!
big motley fan never wanted to listen to this album ..downloaded it for the first time today . its great it shoulda been shelved in 94 and released in 2012 it would give kick in the ass to the rock world ..
so deep. This is for those thinking crue was only a party band...
I remember when this album came out,i was confused,i was upset Vince wasn't there but it was one of my favorite crue albums and still is to this day.
Este disco y el Generation los escuchaba mucho en el 2011 cuando empezaba la universidad.

this song and the album rocks and is my favorite crue album
Um, I bought this on release day. Still one of my favorite hard rock albums of the 90's.
This is the best Motley Crue album, and this the best song on that. From the middle it sounds like a modern Led Zep...
il miglior disco dei Motley Crue, in assoluto!!!! e uno dei migliori dischi metal degli anni 90, assieme agli shovel.
this album was so underrated it was good from start to finish
One of the most underated rock albums of the 90's

i have this cd, had it since it came out, it rocks. the louder the better.
Great song and video from a great album by Motley.
This album for me, is very best, power and completed from discografy of CRUE

Motley w Corabi 🤩🤩🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥
The best album by far
this is so good, been laughing at Vince Meal mangling songs live since 1995,a shame the fans want garbage instead of anything resembling coherence.
I was never a MC fan , 1st time Ive heard this and it's pretty good.
I didn't know this song is great at that time. but now I think this song is really great really fantastic
Always keep on memories one of greatest hits of them
@TheQuidjibo I totally agree...this was a good album..and this was my favorite song on it.

best crue album ever... EVER!
this album is awesomeee I dont understand why it didnt sold million of copies
wow i dnt no y ppl ddnt like this line up of motley crue
As a musician I have to say Corabi's influence on this album was incredible. Crue were never as good before or after. No dis to the Crue. I think they get this.
+psic881 - damn right!...Corabi added some maturity both lyrically and musically to Crue. Been a fan since The Scream and also Union.
+psic881 I'd have to agree.
this is the best Crue album
yes, Motley Crue released a dvd with all their videos in 2003, i think, and Corabi's stuff is on there
One of the most underrated albums. They should of released this under a different name.
It's not "John Corabi AND Motley Crue" it's Motley Crue! He was in the band! And he was awesome!
This vocal I like so much to Vince Neil its a Real singer...Its a Real Motley Crue...
What other bands did he play in? I bought this cassette tape years ago for 2.99 at a old k mart store and its one of the best albums I ever heard

This is Motley best album as a whole in my opinion, too bad Motley fans would'nt accept Corabi cause he is a great singer/song writer.
i´ve heard somewhere that corabi is consisered as the new singer for velvet revolver..that would be awesome;this song is great and corabi kicks major ass just incredible
Watch their video on the making of this album .... very intriguing.

John "Rock And Roll" Corabi forever!
@krycokid you hit that spot-on. corabi crue was incredible.
If they did, what Motley Crue did I see at Pine Knob in Michigan in the summer of 1994?
One of their best songs its different than nething else they have played
Corabi is a great singer
This vocal I like so much to Vince Neil its a Real singer...
SDMF21 well said absolutly true. Music has to be taken at the artistic level. It's like people comparing guitarists on who's better it's a mute point.
Great song.
