Although I originally came here to see how this gimbal performed, I found myself enchanted just how beautiful the scenery was in your shots (which were made even more exquisite by the gimbal). Well done. You've got a new subscriber.
let me tell you, you're an amazing visual-artist-storyteller-cinematographer- teacher. thank you for sharing your experience with us, that means a lot for those seeking knowledge and trying to get the best from our stories. Question: what do you prefer between cine 4- sgammut 3 or Cine 4- 709? Also if you have to pick between 28 f2 or 35 1.8 sony wich would be your first choice? (an all around in between both lenses). And the last but not least, how good is 10-18 on A7sII for gimbal? Thank you! and i hope I don't bother you with such a questions. PD: Keep your cameras moving for us Sensei!
Thanks Andres! I use the Cine4 settings and LUTs from www.omeneo.com. I don't use s-log except in a few extreme cases where I need extra DR (filming someone sitting next to a bright window etc). I'd pick 28mm for a7sii, 35mm for a6300. 10-18mm should not be used on a7sii because it's aps-c, not fullframe. Some people claim it works for fullframe by zooming in a bit, but the edges of the frame are still heavily distorted. Get the 16-35mm FE for a7sii.
is it here in HK some group of people (with Sony cameras) who learning and sharing experiences together? I would appreciate to meet up with someone once upon a time.
Hello Brandon, Love your videos!! Wanted to ask - Does the EC1 works well with the a6300? I read that the a6300 is too light for it.. Do you think that the DS1 or the Zhiyon Crane will be better for this camera?
Soooo, the Zhiyun-Tech Crane now does 1.8kg loads with the firmware update. I was leaning more towards that until I saw your video. Any idea which would be better? The 1.8kg payload really puts it head to head with the EC1 now. Great review, thanks for sharing!
Nice smooth footage without that 'bounce' that you see in a lot of these gimbal vids - you must have the walk sorted or the stabilisation of the A7sii -= or both?
Hi, nice tutorial. Just one question. Is'nt a gimbal totally useless with the A6300 when shooting in bright sunlight 4K without a external monitor. Because you hardly can see what you are doing on the viewfinder
Hi Brandon! I noticed u have tried both the Pilotfly H2 and Beholder EC1. I guess u like the EC1 better, any key reasons? Hoping to make a decision on a one arm gimbal. Thanks!
They're pretty similar TBH. Pilotfly handle is actually more comfortable but EC1 has theoretically better performance because it has a newer kind of encoder.
fantastic as always. I am using Zhiyun Crane M for a6300 right now and looking for some inspiration what a 3axis gimbal can do. I bet your video is warp stabilized? The walking updown seems near impossible to eliminate without doing such post stabilization...
That's sick! Would you recommend the EC1 for a GH4 setup with Metabones + Samyang 14mm 2.8 (sometimes Canon 50mm 1.8)? Or should I go for Zhiyun Crane?
I just saw someone posted they returned that gimbal . What u think brandon . Seems like u got it working . Anyway to see how u install this ? Thanks man . Love your vids .
Hello and thank you very much for that video. When you increase the speed, what is your speed at the beginning when you shoot? 24p and 1/50? 120p and 1/240? 🤔
Hi Brandon, did you have a chance to try out the Pilotfly H2 and if so do you consider the EC1 better? I'm between the two and can't decide for which! Thanks
love the gimbal crane. thanks for sharing it! do you have any tips on exporting videos to social media platforms (Instagram)? i've seen a few videos on youtube but when I use their setting to export, by quality would distort and look a bit more pixelated than the original.
Hi Brandon. Amazing footage. I've read so many negative things about the EC-1, but when I see your footage it just seems like none of those people know what they're doing. What are your thoughts on the micro jitters, balance issues etc? And do you prefer the EC-1 over the Zhiyun Crane? Thanks in advance.
EC1 is difficult to configure for perfect performance. Zhiyun Crane is overall much easier but has a lower weight limit. If your kit exceeds the Crane's capacity, EC1 is your best choice.
I've just discovered your channel and love it. I have a quick question, would this work for a Nikon 3100? I know its a bit of an ancient camera but does good to me. Thank you!
Hi Brandon, follow with interest your tips and videos. Really good work I appreciate the particular attention you put choosing the music for your videos. One quick question, I remember you suggested the pilotfly over the beholder, am I wrong? What's changed? Cheers Mattia
So pilotfly, zhiyun, ikan? wich one in your opinion and experience? I use a6300 as well, i think i like this one cuz im loking for slide/glide moves with the gimbal, an as i can see i can antivate "no tilt" right?
Brandon, as you have used several types, brands of one-handed camera stabilizers ... Could you please write what advantage you can see one over the other (for your usage of of course) ? Not long ago you tried Pilotfly H2 and now Ikan Beholder ... Do you just change them for testing or because some of them just can not do the work for you ? I really appreciate you reply !
Zhiyun Crane = best for lightweight cameras 1200-1600g. No PID tuning, works out of the box. EC1 = best for cameras heavier than that up to 2.2kg. PID tuning is a pain in the ass but it has strong stabilization when you get it right, and you can use really long lenses and still get balanced. Pilotfly H2 has ergonomic handle and convenient dual-handle option which replaces the single handle instead of adding to it, keeping the rig small. Other than that pretty similar to EC1 but with older encoders. But more than anything you have to see if you can deal with tuning PIDs before buying Beholder or Pilotfly. It's a pain in the ass. Seriously.
Thanks for video. If you could choose only one lens for gimbal shots for Sony a7s, what would it be? 16-35, 10-16, fe 28, batis 18 or 25 or maybe another one?
is there something special you have to do to get right side roll arm? how you have it set up in the video. stock is opposite way. tried flipping baseplate but could not find balance. thanks in advance . cheers.
Dear Brandon, What program do you use for post production? I wonder if you shooting at 60fps or 120 fps then how can we edit , export as 24fps and make it smooth as shooting in 24fps? Thank you very much!
Hi Brandon, I love your artistic vision. I am currently using the glidecam hd1000 and thinking of stepping up my steady game a little. I happen to have the Sony A6300 and use primarily the Sony 10-18mm lens. Not sure if I should get the Beholder EC1 or the Zhiyun Crane. The Zhiyun Crane is less expensive so Im hoping this will be as good as the Beholder. What do you find works best for you? Thanks in advance for responding by the way,,cheers,Shane
ahh,now that I'm reading through the comments on this and your other tutorial videos I realize that this quesstion gets asked a lot. So don't answer it again. Getting the same question over and over again must drive you ...crazy , hee hee.. I get it.. Cheers
Hey! I plan on buying the crane gimal cause i want to step it up from all handheld. For those hyper lapse shots at 600%, do you shoot at 24 or 60+ fps? thank you!
Brandon, brother I have a question for you. How do you keep everything in focus(while moving) on the wide angle shots at f4? Do you use autofocus? Thank you. Have a kick ass year, I hope you become a millionaire.
Just subscribed... love the way you review test and show all!! Can I ask you which you prefer between EC1 and Zhiyun crane? Could be great see one of yours videos about those comparisons (EC1 vs Zhiyun Crane)
hey man!... I saw that you have used pilotfly-2 (the other stabilizer gimbal) in another video. Which one you suggest from your experience ? Beholder EC1 or Pilot-Fly ? which one is smaller and more handheld ? thanks
Zhiyun Crane is preferable for rigs under 1600g or so because it works out of the box with a variety of cameras/lenses without PID tuning. For rigs over 1600g, EC1 and Pilotfly are fairly similar in feeling. EC1 is theoretically capable of better performance due to "digital" not "analog" encoders. Note that you will have to tune the PID of either of them via Simplebgc software - it is NOT intuitive and not fun. Pilotfly handle is more ergonomic and less painful to hold for long periods of time.
I bought from the USA www.cnchelicopter.com. But you can buy from Beholder directly and have them ship to HK. Contact Alex Lin in the Beholder Users Official FB Group
Thanks for the video Brandon! I hate to shoot another tech question your way as I know you get so many, but I'm wondering if the gimbal has a tough time with some of your heavier lenses like i.e. 24-70, 24-240. I mostly use big lenses and am worried it will hinder the gimbal's performance if i buy it. Thanks again for this and all of your work.
Brandon, did you smoothcam this footage or is the gimbal really that smooth? i owned the 1st gen beholder for a while but sold it because the image would bounce up and down as i walked and it was no bueno
Hi Brandon, I'm super interested in this gimbal for my A7sII was wondering if you had any issues at all when using heavier lenses on the A7sII. I was thinking of the ronin but I actually just want a really compact setup to fit in my pelican 1510 case for travel. I use canon lenses but I was thinking of getting at least 1 sony OSS lens and this gimbal instead of the Ronin. THoughts?
With heavier lenses I've gotten smooth results but only after increasing Power and D settings in PID. It takes tuning and testing to get it right and can be very time consuming.
I hate to ask this but I legit feel like no one has asked you this about the beholder/camera combo.... Considering the battery life isn't amazing for the Sony line of cameras. Is it possible to have a battery grip attached and still rock it on the gimbal system or does it not fit with all that on it?
Brandon thanks for posting as always such inspirational and pristine film work, are you thinking much about the upcoming A6500 release in December? (IBIS)
I've tried a6500. Touchscreen is useful to me (even though other reviewers say it's non-responsive). Great for pulling focus on a gimbal, and it does a cinematic slow-pull with easing in and out. Overheating, rolling shutter, low light, dim screen are still problems. IBIS is similar to a7sii - ok, not great, still useful. Overall worth the upgrade (barely) because I can use non-OSS lenses with a6300 and pull focus more precisely while on a gimbal.
Just spectacular Brandon! And how do you prevent those little vertical bumps that occur when walking with an electronic gimbal? Your shots are butter smooth glides.
mystickid1 that's why I put the picture-in-picture as I walked..I try to walk smoothly without moving up and down. It's just practice and bending your knees a lot.
Brandon Li btw, seems like the rolling shutter on your videos are not obvious, did you fix it by post? Just wanna know coz I'm planning to buy one but the rolling shutter is really bad.
Hey Brandon, Just wondering if you'd recommend the 28mm f2 for the a7sii for the Zhiyun crane? It's less than half the price of the 16-35mm f4 and I'm tempted. I currently own the 55mm 1.8 but starting a new job filming street/city scapes, hotel rooms and food in a vlog type fashion - (but remaining behind the camera). I'll be very strapped for cash if I get the 16-35 and zhiyun crane but could just about manage the 28mm f2 and zhiyun crane right now. Just wondering if you'd recommend that combo or think it's better to save for the 16-35mm first as last. (Or use a vintage prime?!) (Although I noticed you flew a 50mm on the a7sii in this, I'll still need a wider lens at some point in any case!) I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on 28mm f2 for cityscape/gimbal work if you have a moment. :) Love your work! Lisa
Thanx a lot for your channel! Very useful!Could you advice camera stabilizer for a7rii and various lenses? It is Beholder EC1 or something more? Thanx!
If you keep your lenses light you can use Zhiyun Crane and not have to deal with PID settings at all. If you have a heavier rig EC1 is a great choice but make sure you get someone from Beholder to help you calibrate the gimbal for your system.
hi, i like your video. i have a beholder ec1 and i use canon 70d+tamron 17-50mm....but i have vibrations (jitters) when i recording. do you have a PID to recommended? thanks
Thanks for this, I was researching Gimbals and found your demo. {Ordering EC1 today!) Adendum: so much rapid updated info available, so is the Zhiyun Crane that you demo elsewhere, the better choice? Thanks. BTW Love your "Nomads of Mongolia", one of your best 👍
My nikon doesn't have AF; it's an ancient AIS lens. I use only Sony lenses when I need AF. It tracks faces extremely well in good light, under ISO 3200 or so. In lower light it sucks horribly. If your subject turns their back it will lose them. If your subject turns to the side it will sometimes work. Best to use Face Detection + Zone focus to specify the area of the frame for the focus to concentrate.
Encoders = no "freak outs" where the gimbal starts spinning and screaming at you for touching it the wrong way. So you can adjust camera settings while shooting without making the gimbal angry. Also you can rotate 360 degrees on any axis. And it has a 4th mode for "follow roll" so you can do barrel roll-style shots where the horizon tilts. Don't buy DS1 anymore - it's obsolete tech.
Although I originally came here to see how this gimbal performed, I found myself enchanted just how beautiful the scenery was in your shots (which were made even more exquisite by the gimbal). Well done. You've got a new subscriber.
Thanks!
brendan srsly thank you for this, this type of video helps alot to gettin an idea of how to shoot with a gimbal! keep up your work its amazing!
Thanks for posting this, you're helping us decide what gimbal to go for!
Thank you Brandon, for sharing your skill and talent. Grateful!
Appreciate it Jess!
Thanks so much for sharing! I love your film! You are my favorite filmmaker! happy to see your updates! looking forward to see your new films!
Thank you Jie!
Brandon Li Completely agree! How do you keep the orbital shots so smooth? Did you change the softwares settings? Thanks!
Very nice work! Learned a lot here.
let me tell you, you're an amazing visual-artist-storyteller-cinematographer- teacher.

Nice, short and sweet video!
I just wondering how you always get such a good framing and composition? You have a good eye - Awesome!
Practice and multiple takes
is it here in HK some group of people (with Sony cameras) who learning and sharing experiences together? I would appreciate to meet up with someone once upon a time.
Thanks for sharing, footage looks amazing
Lyubo!!! ;)
Adam Stevens woop woop, small cinematographers internet world :)
amazing videos man... which gimbal do you recommend for the a7sii? this seem pretty small for the a7
ec1 works with a7sii and almost any lens
Hello Brandon,
Love your videos!!
Wanted to ask - Does the EC1 works well with the a6300?
I read that the a6300 is too light for it..
Do you think that the DS1 or the Zhiyon Crane will be better for this camera?
You have to tune EC1 for lighter cameras and it takes time and patience. Zhiyun Crane works well with a6300 without tuning.
+Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. Brandon Li
You're an inspiration! Always great work!
Wow. Thank you for sharing. Great work and great demo!

Nice smooth footage without that 'bounce' that you see in a lot of these gimbal vids - you must have the walk sorted or the stabilisation of the A7sii -= or both?
That's all in the walking technique, IBIS will not reduce bounce. I keep my legs bent and try to keep camera from bobbing up and down.
Thanks Brandon, look forward to more vids like this
Hi, nice tutorial. Just one question. Is'nt a gimbal totally useless with the A6300 when shooting in bright sunlight 4K without a external monitor.

Under 1600g use Crane amzn.to/2jzOcWu, 1600g-2.5kg use EC1: amzn.to/2iJKgyJ
This is awesome. I can see two other Gymbals in the description, which of the three do you consider to be the best?
Under 1600g use Crane amzn.to/2jzOcWu, 1600g-2.5kg use EC1: amzn.to/2iJKgyJ
Brandon Li Thanks.
I just saw someone posted they returned that gimbal . What u think brandon . Seems like u got it working . Anyway to see how u install this ? Thanks man . Love your vids .
Awesome smooth flow Brandon. Are you filming HK in the typhoons? Raingear for the rig? Any recommendations?
I'd recommend staying inside lol
HAHA..good call. Here's a typhoon i shot a few years ago with GoPro (raincasing on) it was a trip...Takeiteasy!

Hello and thank you very much for that video. When you increase the speed, what is your speed at the beginning when you shoot? 24p and 1/50? 120p and 1/240? 🤔
I have to say: you're so insperational Brandon Li, Thanks for th eknowlage!
Hi Brandon, love your videos. Do you use any quick realise plate? thanks
Hi Brandon, did you have a chance to try out the Pilotfly H2 and if so do you consider the EC1 better? I'm between the two and can't decide for which! Thanks
awesome video !!!! but why did you write (same as Ikan EC1) did you mean DS1 ?
How long does the battery last with the DC1 ?
EC1 is a newer version. DS1 battery lasted 2-3 hours, EC1 battery lasts about 12.
love the gimbal crane. thanks for sharing it! do you have any tips on exporting videos to social media platforms (Instagram)? i've seen a few videos on youtube but when I use their setting to export, by quality would distort and look a bit more pixelated than the original.
awesome video ! did you add any post production stabilization ?
no
Hi Brandon. Amazing footage. I've read so many negative things about the EC-1, but when I see your footage it just seems like none of those people know what they're doing. EC1 is difficult to configure for perfect performance. Zhiyun Crane is overall much easier but has a lower weight limit. If your kit exceeds the Crane's capacity, EC1 is your best choice.
Thanks for the response! I think i'm able to configure the EC-1 to my needs, so that's gonna be the one :)
Great! Hope you enjoy it
I've just discovered your channel and love it. I have a quick question, would this work for a Nikon 3100? I know its a bit of an ancient camera but does good to me. Thank you!
so glad I came across this channel. just subscribed....
Hi Brandon, follow with interest your tips and videos. Really good work I appreciate the particular attention you put choosing the music for your videos. One quick question, I remember you suggested the pilotfly over the beholder, am I wrong? What's changed?
Cheers
Mattia
Thanks! Pilotfly H2 was better than Beholder DS1, but this is the new EC1 which has digital Encoders and therefore a bit better stabilization than H2.
Do you just change them for testing or because some of them just can not do the work for you ?

hi , i m fan of ur shoot , pleae recommend me to best image video stabilizer for any camera - or lense . canon mark 4 and a6500-6300
Hi Brandon. What is the difference between beholder DS1 and EC1? Just battery?
wow holy shit... this just blew my cap back... i'm like a typical steadicam user... this is something else.. buying now
So is the Beholder EC1 exactly the same as the Ikan Beholder EC1? Does it take the same weight and does it take the same firmware update?
Thanks for video. If you could choose only one lens for gimbal shots for Sony a7s, what would it be? 16-35, 10-16, fe 28, batis 18 or 25 or maybe another one?
a7s has no IBIS so you need to use a lens with stabilization. So 16-35mm is best for a7s
Brandon Li thank you so much
May i know which picture profile you are using in sony a7s and sony a6300? which is best?
I don't think picture profiles matter
Thank you....
Wow, your vide looks so cinematic! Would you recommend this gimbal for a Fuji X-T2?
Yes
Thanks!
is there something special you have to do to get right side roll arm? how you have it set up in the video. stock is opposite way. tried flipping baseplate but could not find balance. thanks in advance . cheers.
Dear Brandon, What program do you use for post production? I wonder if you shooting at 60fps or 120 fps then how can we edit , export as 24fps and make it smooth as shooting in 24fps? Thank you very much!
FCP X. I use a function called "automatic speed" which re-times the clip to the project framerate.
How long do the batteries work on Beholder EC1 2-3 Hours ? very cool video !!
long time, maybe 12 hours
wow, thats long. thanks for answer Brandon !!!
Hi Brandon, I love your artistic vision. I am currently using the glidecam hd1000 and thinking of stepping up my steady game a little. Please tell me how to configure the Beholder, that there was no tremor and vibration? Wants to stabilize the quality as you have
You gotta contact Alex Lin via the Beholder Users FB group
This is fantastic information. Thanks for posting this Brandon
Brandon, How do you compare between Beholder EC1 and Zhiyun Crane? You own both of them, right?
Under 1600g use Crane amzn.to/2jzOcWu, 1600g-2.5kg use EC1: amzn.to/2iJKgyJ
Hey! I plan on buying the crane gimal cause i want to step it up from all handheld. For those hyper lapse shots at 600%, do you shoot at 24 or 60+ fps? thank you!
24fps. There's no reason to shoot faster frame rates if you're speeding it up in post.
thanks for the video brandon. i just got the ds1 do you like the ikans ec1 better or the zhiyun crane.
Under 1600g use Crane amzn.to/2jzOcWu, 1600g-2.5kg use EC1: amzn.to/2iJKgyJ
Brandon, brother I have a question for you. How do you keep everything in focus(while moving) on the wide angle shots at f4? Do you use autofocus?
Thank you.
Have a kick ass year, I hope you become a millionaire.
Hi Branden, wich gimle do you offer to use? i have sony 6500 and 30 mmm sony f1,8 ? thnaks a lot
Beholder EC1 or Pilot-Fly ? which one is smaller and more handheld ? thanks
Zhiyun Crane is preferable for rigs under 1600g or so because it works out of the box with a variety of cameras/lenses without PID tuning. which is better this beholder? or the zhijun crane? i also use same cam and lens as u do in this vid. let me know asap cheers
Under 1600g use Crane amzn.to/2jzOcWu, 1600g-2.5kg use EC1: amzn.to/2iJKgyJ
which camera do you prefer with the crane A6300 or A6500?
Hi there Brandon! How was audio captured for this video? Is it from the onboard camera?
Yeah just the built in mic
Thanks for showing Brendon. Are you in Hong Kong? Do you know where to buy from here?
I bought from the USA www.cnchelicopter.com. But you can buy from Beholder directly and have them ship to HK. Contact Alex Lin in the Beholder Users Official FB Group
Thanks for the video Brandon! I hate to shoot another tech question your way as I know you get so many, but I'm wondering if the gimbal has a tough time with some of your heavier lenses like i.e. 24-70, 24-240. I mostly use big lenses and am worried it will hinder the gimbal's performance if i buy it. Thanks again for this and all of your work.
EC1 can handle 24-70 f4 but not 24-70 f2.8. I haven't been able to balance 24-240mm on it, but the gimbal technically could handle the weight
so 16-35 it can but 24-70 2.8 it might struggle a bit?
I don't think you'll be able to balance 24-70 2.8 properly. I don't advise using it.
16-35mm is just fine though?
Yeah
Great examples!
Brandon, did you smoothcam this footage or is the gimbal really that smooth? i owned the 1st gen beholder for a while but sold it because the image would bounce up and down as i walked and it was no bueno
no smoothcam
Hi Brandon, I'm super interested in this gimbal for my A7sII was wondering if you had any issues at all when using heavier lenses on the A7sII. I use canon lenses but I was thinking of getting at least 1 sony OSS lens and this gimbal instead of the Ronin. THoughts?
I ask because I saw a few videos with slightly heavier lenses that give this awkward jitter.
With heavier lenses I've gotten smooth results but only after increasing Power and D settings in PID. It takes tuning and testing to get it right and can be very time consuming.
Which gimbal do you use now?
Have you switched to Zhiyun or still Ikan?
Thanks.
This is so helpful. Thank you!

Is it possible to have a battery grip attached and still rock it on the gimbal system or does it not fit with all that on it?
hi Brandon did you shoot using picture profiles and if so which do you recommend as all rounder for both night and day?
I used Omeneo Primers www.omeneo.com
How do you like that vs EOSHD's?
EOSHD is easier because I don't have to use a LUT, so I guess it's a bit better. Otherwise I can't really tell a difference
Skill unlocked
Brandon thanks for posting as always such inspirational and pristine film work,
are you thinking much about the upcoming A6500 release in December?
Overall worth the upgrade (barely) because I can use non-OSS lenses with a6300 and pull focus more precisely while on a gimbal.
thnks for sharing these tips. this is really great. thank you
Just spectacular Brandon! And how do you prevent those little vertical bumps that occur when walking with an electronic gimbal? Your shots are butter smooth glides.
mystickid1 that's why I put the picture-in-picture as I walked..I try to walk smoothly without moving up and down. It's just practice and bending your knees a lot.
u could also use warp stabilization effect in premier pro to make the footage even more silky smooth!
Brandon Li btw, seems like the rolling shutter on your videos are not obvious, did you fix it by post? Just wanna know coz I'm planning to buy one but the rolling shutter is really bad.
Hey Brandon,
Just wondering if you'd recommend the 28mm f2 for the a7sii for the Zhiyun crane?
Lisa
Hey Brandon its allowed to shoot there ? coz i saw in there website that video recording is not allowed ....
Thank you for answer. Am I calibrate myself? And calibrating needed for each lens separatly?
amazing place....would like to see more :/
Thanks Brandon Li I really like your content happy to subscribe :)
Hey bud, did you like the Beholder or the Zhiyun Crane more?
hi, i like your video. i have a beholder ec1 and i use canon 70d+tamron 17-50mm....but i have vibrations (jitters) when i recording. do you have a PID to recommended? thanks
Contact Alex Lin via Beholder's Facebook page
ok....thanks. but what is the beholder facebook?
could the NEBULA 4000 Lite do the same thing,or is beholder lot more useful for this kind of filming?
Nebula 4000 lite is obsolete - get Beholder MS1 Pro, Zhiyun Crane, or Crane-M instead
tnx.i think i'll go for a Zhiyun Crane soon...keep up the great work.
Awesome!
will this go with the canon 6d? i have the rokinon cine 85mm & 35mm with the body
hey man .. which the good one between zhiyun or beholder EC1 ?
Hi Bro. Which do you find better to use between the Beholder EC1 and the Zhiyun Crane V2?
Crane
Brother was that footage with or without image stabilization?
Thanks for this, I was researching Gimbals and found your demo.
{Ordering EC1 today!) Adendum: so much rapid updated info available, so is the Zhiyun Crane that you demo elsewhere, the better choice? Thanks.
BTW Love your "Nomads of Mongolia", one of your best 👍
What adapter did you use for your nikon? How's the autofocus?thanks
Nice stuff.
Hey Brandon. Do you prefer now a6300 over a7rii?
Sergey Egorkin it's cheaper and has better Af so yeah. I use a7sii for full frame shots and very low light.
Great 7 clicks video.
what resulution do you film your videos in?
Hi Brandon,
Would the stabilizer support a canon g7x, 6D and a 7D? Thanks :)
yes
what's the advantage of the Beholder EC 1 gimbal over the Beholder DS1 one?
Encoders = no "freak outs" where the gimbal starts spinning and screaming at you for touching it the wrong way. So you can adjust camera settings while shooting without making the gimbal angry. Also you can rotate 360 degrees on any axis. And it has a 4th mode for "follow roll" so you can do barrel roll-style shots where the horizon tilts. Don't buy DS1 anymore - it's obsolete tech.
brandon, can this support a sony a7r2 with metabones adapter for canon and a canon 10-22mm?
Yes I think so. EC1 can handle 5 lbs.
Hey Brandon! Do you usually stabilize your footage in post when you speed it up?
Yes but I didn't here
which one is the best Gimbal from
beholder ec1, zhiyun, moza air. i want to buy it for my sonya6500 .
Is this also compatible with sony a5100? if not, what will you recommend?
Is it good for A7R II with Zeis Batis 85mm f1.8 and 25mm f2 please?
yes
