Location: Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Visiting the Batu Caves was the highlight of our trip to Kuala. If you're planning a trip to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, you must add the Batu Caves to your itinerary!
The Batu Caves has been transformed into a hindu temple. The mixture of intricate temple decorations, and the sheer scales of the caves make for breathtaking experience.
In order to get inside the caves you need to climb 272 stairs. On the way up the stairs (and in the cave) you'll see tons of monkeys! The monkey can get really aggressive if you bring food.

Nate your a money saver like my fiance and Kara is like I am. I love to spend money. When I don't need to.
You know whats good Nate and Kara? You don't have to worry about paying monthly bills at all. You have the money to travel and that is just awesome.

Definitely relationship goals! I'm blessed too with my partner.. it feels so good when you can feel like the person you're with 100% knows you.. it's been tough at times too.. we tried for a baby and nothing happened so we had to have fertility treatment that didn't work but finally, December 2015 I found out I was expecting a natural pregnancy! Our Daughter will be 3 next month.. still feels so surreal but absolutely fantastic at the same time 😊
I have only recently started watching you guys regularly so I'm late to this party but I want to share what I appreciate about each of you. For Kara it has to be her eternal positive attitude. I appreciate her honesty and usually understand when she is disappointed about something but i can always see the point where the pity clicks off and she finds something positive to talk about instead. I think far from being fake this is an excellent form of self discipline. It is wise to choose gratitude. For Nate I really appreciate how he is so diligent to stay on top of the trip instead of getting distracted. That takes a lot of discipline too esp when its easy to get swept up in the novelty of places and when you don't want to feel like the bad guy. In general I think you also both make an effort to see the best in each other and to take care of each other. I hope you are still this good of a team no matter where life takes you.
Kara don't feel bad about the Hangry thing. I am in the same boat. lol Josh has gotten good about seeing it coming. We are so similar.
Also I agree with the hungry, tired, and lost thing where you're more irritable. We have also been all those things multiple times and I'm proud we have not killed each other:) -Ash
The hangry thing has to do with estrogen and cortisol. She can't help it! I totally get that and used to have a mate that was unsupportive. Now, my new husband just pacifies me until I'm fed and i apologize. Love your adventures and love Kara's drawl!

Batu Caves - I visited them years ago before the Metro was built. I had to catch a local, weather beaten local minibus. Great video. It brought back loads of memories.

I never usually comment and I only recently started getting into travel videos randomly when stumbled upon one of your more recent videos. My hubby and I met my senior year, I was 17, he was 19 & a freshman at a college in town. I stayed for 2 yrs of college so we dated for those 3 years then I finished my last 2 years in a different state for my degree. Since he finished a year ahead of me, he moved home to work and we got married a month after I graduated... nearly 54 years ago, so all totalled we've been together 59 years. More than anyone in either of our families, including parents and g-parents.

Perfectly put Nate, hangry or tired are when most people are most likely to get into a fight. If you recognise that and agree, when your not Hangry or tired to make important decisions in those situations then you can almost avoid fighting altogether,

Thanks so much for making these videos! I like to save them up for some Friday night viewing. Something to look forward to after a week of work. I appreciate that Kara takes time during the trip to work on them. I do have one question. I was wondering what program Kara uses to edit the videos? Keep up the great work. Better than anything travel related on TV right now for sure.

Fun Fact: That half cow and half lady statue at the end is a representation of Cow Goddess. Since cows are considered sacred in Hinduism and surrounding Indian cultures/religions. Cows gave milk which was a necessity for survival and common food. This is why cows were to be never harmed and always respected like a family member. Back then cows were part of the family and happily gave milk, rather than today slaughterhouse/cages where their milk is full of hormones and chemicals.

I think you two are a super duper team! You guys have the perfect smile, and are always happy! Fight? I would say argument. It also is a question of priority. Do you like to spend money on business class seats and 5 star hotels or would you spend it on food, ferris wheels or a cave tour? For me when go on a trip I would like to have it better than at home. I am a Leo btw. I rather spend one night at a five star hotel than 30 days in hut with no power and indoor water... some people are oposit.

My husband and I got together at work and for 6 years spent all of our time together. We actually work better that way. We fight more when we don't see each other. Been together 21 yrs.
Car Ric when I read your comment just now I thought to myself “did I comment this and not remember it?” This is 100% my story as well. Now we work apart and when we go on vacation it takes us about 24 hrs and then we’re back to the way we were when we were together all the time. We argue more when we’re apart than when we are together.
