Sadly, can't say the same for the luxury brand Infiniti. Besides the new QX60, no new products for at least another 2 years for dealers. Plus allowing Nissan dealers to consolidate their Infinity dealership on the same Nissan dealership property in Canada.
What a fantastic new generation Pathfinder. Nissan is on a roll. It good to see new products coming out that are well thought out and executed. They will move many more of these new Pathfinders than they ever have in the past.
Yes it looks fantastic, Nissan did a great job from the exterior to the interior. It's well done and will give some of the other 7-8 seaters some good competition.
Thanks for another great review. Just couple of points I would like to mention: 1. The push button to move second row seat is locked when 30lbs or more on the seat. That’s a great feature. 2. Headroom in the third row is better than Telluride. I am 5.10 and my head touches the top in the 3rd row in the Telluride but Pathfinder gives me couple of inches more. Which feels great. 3. 6000lbs towing capacity is better than Palisade and Telluride. Great for camping. 3. I feel SV offers the most value of all the trims. Factory fitted trailer hitch receiver, panoramic moonroof, 360 degree rear parking view are impossible to get at this price point. I booked SV yesterday 🤩
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it. That's actually not confirmed about the 30 pounds, we spoke to the product planner and he couldn't confirm that. Did you hear that from someone at Nissan?
Previous generation of Nissan felt like they all belong to rental fleet. After I test drove Sentra and Rogue, they have changed my mind that Nissan is back. Looks like new Pathfinder will find itself from the bottom of the class to some of the best.
Much improved over the old model. These will definetly sell more if they can push the new transmission into ads. Also the SL does get the heads-up display as well
One of the advantages of being late to the party is the opportunity to see what everyone else is wearing. Nissan obviously looked at the Telluride's and the Palisade's outfits when the Pathfinder got dressed for the party. It may not top those choices but it's a credible alternative. And considering it's coming from Nissan that's a huge step forward.
Great video and welcome back to Ontario ! I love watching your channel. I always liked the Pathfinder especially the older ones not keen on the previous generation.
There are two contraptions ever installed in a car that drives me absolutely insane; the Auto Start/Stop feature and the CVT 🤬 I'm glad Nissan wizened up and got rid of it from the Pathfinder. One thing like someone mentioned, Nissan needs to tell people in their ads that the CVT is gone from this model and people will flock back to the showrooms to get their hands on this beauty.
@@andreaspencer9813 It seems like such a useful feature, but I've heard some horror stories about the VW Atlas (which has something similar). It's good that Nissan locks it out while the vehicle is in motion.
You two are amazing & I am now a fan as we had the same issue driving Pathfinder SV. Although, the higher model shown here is much nicer looking, the SV model felt cheap inside. The driving felt harsh, with poor visibility on front side & my wife felt lost at 5-5 on front seat without the height adjustment. I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 225,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. I purchased the SV AWD and so far there are some things that I would definitely change if I could. The backup camera in this trim is horrible quality. The passenger seat is so low that it is uncomfortable sitting in it. I can't see over the front or sides of car and I'm 5ft 4in! It does drive very rough, not a comfortable ride unless completely smooth surfaces.
Hey, now that it's been a year, I'd love to see this Pathfinder compared to the new Pilot. The EPA (were those numbers EPA, or a different circuit?) numbers are much better on this than Pilot!

2% better fuel economy? Yah, not when I drive. I've never been in a Nissan dealership. Maybe I'll go when the Ariya is available. oh and welcome back to Ontario hoser!! Out of the other 4 other options I'd buy the Atlas or Telluride.
I was about to commit for a mdx 2022 until I saw this. Pretty confusing now. Can’t find one to test drive though. I like the sliding second seat with car seats to enter third row. Telluride is the best but it has huge markups.
They engineered this Pathfinder more aggressive added a 9 speed automatic transmission and better interior. They are the best because dealerships can't keep on showrooms for a day.
It has Android Auto, just not the wireless version. Lots of other makes seem to only offer wireless Apple Carplay too. Must be in the early stages of development and glitchy.

You should compare this to the 2022 Infiniti QX60.
Hermosa maquina, bien por NISSAN, bien por la nueva transmisión automática estándar de 9 velocidades Saludos desde estas Honduras.
The button to tilt 2nd row seat is designed not to work with a child seat and baby on it. It has a weight sensor and will not work above a certain weight.
Nissan finally hired new designers.
Great exterior design! The dashboard lacks the design refinement of a CX-9 or the Korean sisters, though.
2% better fuel economy? Yah, not when I drive. I've never been in a Nissan dealership. Maybe I'll go when the Ariya is available. oh and welcome back to Ontario hoser!! Out of the other 4 other options I'd buy the Atlas or Telluride.
please review a new 2021 Jaguar f-pace
So wait a minute...You mean to say you feel the bumps MORE in a truck? I had just assumed it would be smoother than a car over bumps! Doh!
Compared to the competition...
I looked at VW Atlas, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota before I bought the Pathfinder Platinum . . .
Trying to mimic the 4Runner ! Finally! I’ll get one in 21 years lol
will wait a year or 2 before a decision.....what is the cargo space folks behind the front seats? No Android Auto? What's that all about?
It has Android Auto, just not the wireless version. Lots of other makes seem to only offer wireless Apple Carplay too. Must be in the early stages of development and glitchy.
Pathfinder is discontinued in Australia
I have never understood why they leave out the power passenger seat, this would be a deal breaker for me and my wife.
