Well to test the alternator is different on some cars but disconnecting the red terminal on a battery while running would put a load on it if it turns off you might have a weak alternator. If you have headlights on start adding loads meaning turn on AC, lights, and radio

I can't get my alternator out. It's seems to be stuck down at the bottom where the 14mm bolt is located.

You never showed how to put the belt back on.
Editing removed the six hours of cussing and beating the part into place.
