Definitely not suprised that CEX increased the prices after marking if a item is with or without box / manual, i think some people naively thought the prices would remain the same.
Nice pickups, the neat feature of that super mario world in the all stars compilation is that Luigi got his own sprite and jump mechanics! 👍
That Bioshock Collector’s edition is awesome! Definitely on my list!! Great score on the Mario game too!

I'm glad cex have now listed games with or without their manuals but I really think it's shameful that they've kept the games without theirs at the same price and upped the price of the games with them quite a bit. Not sure how long i can keep up the hobby with what seem like never ending rises.
Btw Bioshock is my favourite game ever so a great buy!

Better to pay extra 20£ for the game complete with manual than to be disapointed to have it incomplete. This is better for me. Now grade it 1-10 😂
Happy for you man, cracking one to add to your collection after getting the PS3 sleeve edition on the Vlog! Picked up the Collector's one myself last year from Sore Thumb Retro Games in York! Totally agree with you about older steelbooks, much prefer the quality of them nowadays! :D

Hi mate, the mario game box is legit. I have some pictures I can send accross of a copy I recently sold if you want and it does have that box style. Zelda majoras mask on the n64 has the same style aswell strangely enough.

The mario all-stars box is legit!!!
I had an original copy bought by my cousin back in the day, I sold it a couple of years ago but my copy had wear on the edges and had the incorrect folding on the box! - not sure if they were a toys r us exclusive game.
When it comes to the snes I think the lottery will still be interesting as regardless of manual it all comes down to condition

Also, it's still a lottery for ps2 era onwards games! They've not been listed with manual or not. (Probably because wayyy too many and less collected than the older retro) 😅 so can still have a cheeky roulette by youtubers who collect ps2 onwards ay

That’s the second game you’ve received from CeX that I’ve returned lol the first one was the Spider-Man maximum carnage which you lucky git got for unboxed price! And now this one! I returned it didn’t feel or look right imo
CEX need to include the manual information about all the games they sell, anything that doesn't have a manual regardless of generation is worth less but they charge the same.
Space invaders Vs mode is brilliant. Totally recommend you playing it.
Shame that the lottery has to come to an end, but great to see Cex actually letting customers know if their is a manual included.
As you love shmups I was wondering if you have played habroxia and habroxia 2? Not sure if they are on the switch but I have them on vita ps4 and ps5. Fantastic old school style shmups. Highly recommended!
I only had a couple of snes games when i was a kid ,but i used to swap that game with all my friends so i could play all there games.. snes hustling since 94 😅
Most copies of All Stars + World were sold with a console and only came as cartridge and manual. I’m wondering if they ended up with lots left over as SNES console sales died down, and so they produced a cheap box to be able to sell them separately. Just complete guesswork on my part of course!

I gambled on 5 Sega Master System games with manuals. 3 went back. 2 because of condition. 1 was missing its manual! 🙄
I spoke to Retro Rummage channel Mitch and he said the same! Ordered with manuals and they didn't have them! Cex do take the piss often 😂as handy as they can be

I wanted to ask two things as I have a similar situation.
I have a boxed Secret of Mana which I'm unsure is legit. The box looks authentic, but feels very smooth and shiny unlike other SNES cardboard boxes. Is yours like that?
I also would like to know who you check these things with so I can do so if necessary in future.
I was a little disappointed at first, bioshock is cool and all but im into the 16-bits generation. Then I saw that theres more, lovely find. Edit. That box looks odd, great game. Didnt come CIB in North america but seems like it did in EU. Cant find to much information about this one, in sweden it only came as a console bundle

Totally agree on best multi games cart ever produced on any system period, I'm toying with the idea of going for full PAL NES set cart only (With odd boxed as opportunities present) I'm getting two per week starting with titles I'm like to play or look of interest and avoiding heavies for now, I'm struggling to get a definitive list online for PAL releases, could you offer any steer on this please ?, PS thanks for the channel I'm hooked and have been for a while to the extend the garden pod gaming room is starting to look like a conversation I keep having in my own head for now vs with wife and kids input.
Surprising to hear about the Super Mario box. Here that version was only released in the console bundle so there we have the cart and manual but no box so I've never seen one before. So curious about the situation that caused the poor quality boxes perhaps a rush to produce them and had to outsource to a different company? Who knows.
I’m sure that others will have told you but if you are going to try BioShock, don’t watch the making off before hand as it will spoil the game for you.

Ps2 era not been updated with manual or no manual though so can still have roulette videos on any TH-camr who collects that gen of console games. 😅 and I'll be having few roulettes myself this year that's for sure

Strange they have the "mint" price set in-between at £115. Maybe it's something they forgot about, hopefully it's a sign that prices will eventually reduce and settle back down once the manual debacle is over

How youve never played bioshock is beyond me. Its criminal 😂. Please play all 3 . My favourtore single player franchise ever . BioShock 1 is the king of the trilogy
Bio shock has one of if not the best story in any video games unfortunate i had it spoiled from watching TH-cam best video game of all time before playing the game over a decade ago. As others have said the making dvd might contain soilers so might be best watch it after completion of the 1st game. The 2nd is my favourite game play wise, and so in infinite eaisly my favourite video gameS of all time with the likes of the last of us part 1 & part 2 and the witcher 3 wild hunt. You are in for a real treat just stick with it. The story is chefs kiss good fantastic characters, voice acting and atmosphere. The the game play is really fun when you get all you powers. Another game a bit like bioshock is dishored 1& 2 and death of the outsider standalone dlc are all really good the story is so so but the game play is where its at and the atmosphere of the world.

I recently ordered some GameCube stuff off cex. Both came without a manual. What do you say when you return stuff? Do you just say it’s incomplete so want to return? Feel like they’ll turn their nose up at me!

That collection is excessive. You should try to keep it to games you know you will have a chance to play. All of us that love our games are a bit guilty of it but honestly there's so many there. Dude it's just too much.
