I’m from Scotland and Established Titles is the biggest scam. You don’t own any plots of land and they don’t plant trees, I think the company is based in Hong Kong actually🤣 You’re basically paying for a piece of paper calling you a lord or a lady lol.
i bring this up a lot, but in one of my university classes, a professor showed us the Aja vs. DeLa lip sync as an example of how one piece of content (in this case Anaconda) can be interpreted in two vastly different ways, so it'll always be iconic to me for that reason.
wtf now that i think about it how is this so accurate for a lesson like this-

Now if she knew them, yeah, she embodied the energy of the last two lip syncs the best so she wins over Alaska and Detox.

It was the icing on the cake that Tati and Alyssa were wearing such similar looks. That is my favorite lip sync of all time not only cause of the perfection of the performances but also everything leading up to it.

I think Phone from AS6 was sooooo underrated! I loved how they actually played together and it was so camp and fun

Good point. I feel like they're spoken word lip sync is a little bit more iconic because it was the first one we've ever seen on Drag Race in addition to both queens doing super well in it.

I will die on the hill of Laganja vs Trinity being the best lipsync of AS6 and of all-time...the entrance, the song choice, the stunts, and most of all, the redemption arc of Miss Laganja Estranja

Dela copying Shangela’s moves in Jump is one of the funniest things to ever happen on Drag Race
Honestly I had a different underrated lip sync for All Stars 7, in the Monet vs Shea to Ella Fitzgerald's version of Old MacDonald. Again, a brilliant show of their stage chemistry AND their unique styles.
I don't think that's underrated at all tho, they ate it up and served it to us

The fact that no one is talking about the spoken word lipsync between Monet and Jinx or Come Rain and Come Shine for Naomi. CRIMINAL!!
The "Green Light" lip sync is super underrated because Kennedy was able to showcase her emotive side. She really embodies the song and you can't look away from her.
I'm glad someone else gives Monet the credit she deserves for how amazing of lip syncer she is, she's my favourite lip syncer from the entire show because she can seemingly do everything and make it feel like hers. I think Juice is actually a super underrated lip sync so I'm surprised that wasn't your choice for AS5. But I completely agree Supernova was an absolute serve, both of them annihilated it and Monet looked the most beautiful she has ever looked doing it.
Really? I feel like Monet is so appreciated anyway. She is always talked about being a great lip syncer. I will say I thought her Supernova performance was actually underwhelming. It’s such an incredible song but I feel that monet lacked the electro pop energy. I expected more, Especially from an assassin like miss Monet X Change.

Barbie Girl and that entire episode of Silky was one of the best Drag Race episodes in my opinion ❤

Physical is 100000000% the best lipsync from AS6 also Ginger/Mayhem Phone in AS6 is one of my FAAVVVVVV lip syncs ever! Pure camp and comedy and I adored they worked so amazingly together to make such a good performance and I’m so sad you didn’t even mention it!
I think Jan and Silky's Heartbreaker is really underrated. I mean, I thought Jan is going to send Silky packing at some points 😬
Yeah that's definitely the best lip sync Jan has given us, you could tell she was fighting for her place and was really the only person until Eureka who gave Silky a challenge.

Jan won that. She gave a more clean performance, but you know it's an episode dedicated for Silky to get redemption, and she needed it.

Physical is so iconic, the entrance is a callback to an iconic drag moment and Ganja goes so so hard the whole time.

For the You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) Lip Sync, I think Trinity was trying to do something different and campy as opposed to just flipping her hair and twerking. However, I agree with what Monét said, it was weird, gross, and didn’t make sense for the song. She could've had skates and a 70’s disco look to make it seem like she was in a roller rink or club. All the best to Trinity, though since she’s such a talented queen.
The part of the De La and Shangela lip sync where Shangela starts throwing minds and De La gets really into her throwing mints is so hilarious. 😂😊
I was so disappointed that they chose boom clap because Charli has so many songs (unlock it, roll with me, vroom vroom, trophy, etc) which would have made really good lip syncs
trophy for a competition show and vroom vroom for drag RACE is literally perfect. truly heartbreaking.
WOW's homophobia was showing that episode. boom clap is a hit for the locals and it should stay that way lol. i'd also include click, i got it & shake it cause i mean, they're iconic HIGH tempo bops

Got to be Real will always (in my opinion) be the most underrated AS2 lip sync the way Phi Phi spilt all her oats and felt them on that runway and Alaska giving her Lil Poundcake campy moments was a sight to see😭
I was not a fan of the Poundcake makeup. I wish Phi Phi had won that one.
Phi Phi is an underrated lipsync performer because of her personality lol. But she can really turn it out
Monet in Old MacDonald and The Lights Went Out in Georgia, incredibly underrated imo. She decimated Swish Swish and I cannot stand that song.

shea is so good at performing choreography that she's doing it even when the dance isn't choreographed
Shea has swimmer muscles. You can tell by how she moves that she possesses fast twitch muscle fibers. (Most folks have regular twitch muscle fibers). It makes Shea a compelling dancer.
I get what you mean about rewatching All Stars Lipsynchs for Your Legacy. The uplifting vibe makes them far more fun to watch.

Aside from that, your list is spot on. I love how you talk about the show and analyse it as a sociologist for a documentary
Designing Women - yeah I remember that show in the 80s (I'm old). I so hope that they do more of those talk-syncs! That was beyond incredible.
We HAVE to give an honorable mention in AS6 to "Phone". Still one of my faves of all time.
sure i love the splits, dips, and drops, and latrice does them too sometimes, but latrice is the first queen that made me genuinely fall in love with drag lipsync performance as a whole. she embodies every song and gives it everything she can, i could watch her lipsync the phone book. she is just such a mesmerizing and multitalented queen. i feel like so many people sleep on her for everything other than being funny and i love the way you talked about her!
Ginger/Mayhem lip syncing to phone is a master class of comedy, camp and improv. It set a standard for comedy lip syncs and I feel it was neck in neck with Rajah/Brooke Lynn Heights even though they are two entirely diff styles of lip syncs.

Monet is my all-time favorite Drag Race lip-sync performer.
I do find it interesting that Trinity's bodysuit bothered you but Shangela's fat suit did not.
I thought both were fairly tasteless.
Yeah I am surprised that this lipsynch wasn't deemed the worst for AS3, I thought it was such a weird outdated choice from Shangela. It's definitely equally as tasteless as Trinity's old lady gag.

For me the most underrated lipsync from AS6 is Ginger vs Mayhem. So camp, no tricks, the reveal was so unimportant they didn't even show and it showcased the best from Ginger and Mayhem. I also love Mayhem and it's always nice to see her

Neutron Dance is such a great lipsync and it pisses me off that all of the comments are always about Alyssa not turning it as hard as expected when the focus should instead be on how Shea gave a truly great show. Thank you for including it!

I saw Yvie in Denver during Pride month and was so happy to see her do Better in Color during the show. She did amazing. I can only imagine what it would’ve been like if she were lip syncing against someone rather than on her own.

Underrated lip sync from AS3 for me personally was Green Light with Dela & Kennedy, both of them gave EMOTIONAL

All stars 7 just had so many amazing lip syncs, supernova, super freak, old mcdonald, the spoken word lip sync. I really hope they do more spoken word lip syncs.
All stars 4 Gia vs Naomi lip sync should've been the double shantay, but I'm convinced they were already set on bringing Latrice back.

For me, my absolute favorite lipsynch in AS4 HAS to be Manila v Trinity. Trinity's performance was bright, fun and energetic, and the big, poofy yellow jacket just delivered the vibe so well! But Manila just- Killed it! Blew it out of the park! Her leaning onto the wall, looking like a love-sick maiden is just- AHHH!
Yaaas, it revived that song for me. Whenever I hear it now, I like to think of Manila during that part.

Love your thoughts, but I can't help feeling Ginger VS Mayhem should have gotten an honourable mention for AS6. I get defaulting to the two dance-heavy stunt lipsyncs with Physical & Miss You Much, but Phone hits on both a choreo & comedy level. I may also be knocking Miss You Much due to the queens just teleporting around the stage, but it was still great.
11:21 I don't remember which exact episode it was but in one of the rosco's viewing parties Roxxy said she was originally supposed to get the song Kennedy got but told producers she wouldn't come if they didn't change the song. I think she was about to board the plane when production told her which lipsync song it was going to be.

In my opinion one of the best lip syncs of as6 is Mayhem vs Ginger, its SOOO underrated
I just wanna say this while it's fresh, I don't actually like the Freaky Money lip sync.
For context, I just feel like the fat suit use has been idealized for this lip sync because it actually worked well, but then we critique "fat" joking in any other context. It just feels like too much of a "reveal cop-out" I guess. TLDR; if we don't like the fat suit thing then Shangela doesn't get a pass, sorry.

This! I loved that performance but it was ruined by shangelas attire choice so much that I would’ve just preferred a Trixie win and proof that she can win a lip sync for the storyline or something.
