On the topic of season 7, the "death becomes her (how would your drag character die)" runway needs to be brought back. It was such a fun way for the queens to convey their character to the audience in an interesting way and encourage the queens themselves to think about their brand and perspective, plus it brought us some iconic looks. I also want them to bring back the "my favourite body part" runway from season 5 cause it just felt very fun and uplifting while also letting us know the girls more.

Season 7 was not considered good back in the day, but I totally agree that it has become its own thing throughout the years. Some people hate the runways, but I think it has some of the most creative themes on the show, and even though some of the challenges were kind of lackluster, we still got some iconic moments out of them. It also gave us some of the most memorable queens to date.
I also think when it came out it was compared so much to season 5 & 6. We'd been spoiled for two seasons. It was the first one I watched live, I'd binged all the other seasons multiple times and was so disappointed watching season 7. Went back and watched it when season 13 was airing and was shocked how much more I enjoyed it.
Untucked was great too!
It was really the first "modern" season for me since it was absolutely filled to the brim with "look" queens who really stepped up with their fashion, and it really set the standard for high fashion within drag race. Before season 7, it was mainly about comedy and drama and every season after had a noticeable higher standard for clean and coherent looks.
I think I've never laughed so hard as in the shakspare challenge strugle or the untuckes, so good
S7 really comes alive in Untucked, in fact I would say only watch Untucked cause it's that good. The queens show themselves so realistic and their personalities.
My favorite moment is at the end when Violet is like "I love you guys but I love myself even more" and Ginger is like "WE KNOW". 😂😂😂 It shows truly how Violet is, cunty at times but at the end of the day she respect the queens and it's not just a bitter young kid.
Or how Ginger and Kennedy were not that mean and beside some times had a fun time with the cast
S7 is "if you're not watching Untucked you're only getting 9% of the story, and missing out on teleporting Katya".

I feel like s15 is going to age incredibly. Cast was incredible and all easy to root for, the drama was mostly playful and the one major argument (mistress vs Malaysia) was actually resolved without a lipsync. Spice being the loveable and easy to root for deer-in-the-headlights queen was so fun to root for, even if she wasn’t gonna win. The lipsyncs were so good. Even early outs like Irene and Amethyst had their moments. The queens being able to shine w/ 40 min episodes really says a lot about the quality of the cast, and I’m so excited for when they start going back for all stars.
I can not believe anyone would say that Dela selfeliminating herself would downgrade the season! THat was one of if not the biggest gags of the entire franchise. Truly a legendary moment in dragrace Herstory.

Season 13 is probably the worst imo. That Porkchop thing was heinous and genuinely cruel. Then the season was SO heavily rigged. Half of the top 4 was only there because they were favorites. Kandy and Gottmik--Kandy literally lost a lipsync and just got to stay because... reasons; Gottmik could have had multiple bottom placements throughout the season but production knew she couldn't win a lipsync so they kept her out of the bottom. Between the shitty mistreatment of the "Porkchop" queens and the blatant favoritism, it made that season unwatchable.
Season 11 was LIGHTYEARS above 13 imo. The dram in 11 genuinely made it fun to watch and I'm fully biased but I love the weird queens like Yvie so seasons where they thrive like in 6, 9, 11, and 14 are some of my favorites lol
S11 the drama framed it so that the bullies were the bad guys. S13 made the bold choice of making the bullies the protagonist of the story.
@@thebumpercar1344idk, the only person of the top 5 that couldn't be edited to be a villain is Brooke. That season was pretty much season 2 or 3 with cast synergy
I honestly prefer season 13 looking back. And that's because season 11 had some really forgettable queens. Soju being known only for the cyst, Kahanna barely being there, Honey Davenport just existing. Even Mercedes only got the "Oppalence" moment, and nothing else. Also some of the queens really did not like each other, and it shows. At least every season 13 queen got some time and was memorable, and the heavy drama disappeared pretty early when Tanisha was eliminated. I don't like season 13 much but at least I would watch it again once, season 11? No thanks

@@connaeris8230 : I think it's a good thing we've forgotten about Soju now. And really, the way the editors of S13 framed the conflict between Kandy and Tanisha, with Kandy bullying the girls in Untucked, Tanisha standing up to defend herself, the two of them lipsynching, Tanisha giving a better lip synch, and then getting sent home anyway? Yeah the production choices and blatant favoritism in S13 make it unpalatable. S11 is great if you also watch Untucked. S13 gets FAR worse when you also watch Untucked.
I like that idea of bringing teams back (hear me out) if they did it so the queens knew that there was gonna be teams and if it was like a famous duo/besties season. So duos like Trixie and Katya, Bob and Monet, Manila and Latrice, Gottmik and Violet, Priyanka and Lemon, Jinkx and Dela, Raja and Raven, Symone and Gigi, Alaska and Willam, Raj’ah and Silky, Adore and Bianca, Rosé and Denali, Tayce and Awhora, Kim and Naomi, Kita and Anita. Just snowballing ideas here
And also, teams being present for half of the season and disbanded after like, 6 episodes

Season 4 untucked is a masterpiece. The best season of untucked in my opinion and season 5, and 3 and 2 had good untucked. They don’t make untucked like they used too 😭
This dude put season 14 higher than season 10, 7, 11, and 3. What do u expected? Lmao that show is the most boring franchise and even get one of the lowest viewership drop.

I think it still suffered from some of the problems of the early seasons. For example, runways being a bit basic and the early outs not standing out much. Also, it's so predictable. You could see either Sharon was going to win from like, the third episode. And the other queens don't get much of a narrative, they don't even click very well together. I'd rewatch individual episodes but not the whole season.

I think seasons 2 and 3 deserve more love. The queens weren't as polished and some of the maxi-challenges weren't that great, but man, that was some good tv drama that we will never get on drag race. I still think about so many untucked moments from those seasons

It's such a shame because that season was so revolutionary for me, and Sharon instantly became my favorite queen (her wit, edge, style, etc.). And then... sigh. At least that season still gave us truly iconic queens and moments... I mean Latrice, Jiggly, Willam, Chad Michaels, Jaremi, Dida (also-- DIDA4ALLSTARS), Kenya, all in one season? Amazing.
Season 5 is 100% my #1 season to this day. It just never gets old
12:24 this is EXACTLY how I feel about season 13. It was the first season I watched live but by god was it FLAWED!!! S12 will always be one of my favorites, if only I had started watching a year prior!
Season 14 is in my top 5 seasons. I don't really care about how long it is, i watch drag race to see cool queens do cool drag, the competition aspect is second to me and with such a likable and talented cast I enjoyed how long it was.

i often find that when seasons are actively airing it’s harder for people (myself included sometimes) to just sit back and enjoy the show when they get too invested in their faves and get too worried about rigging and predicting what’s gonna happen. after the season is over and you know what happens i always find rewatches more enjoyable, and i wouldn’t be surprised if season 15 ends up higher on the list in the future
That's season 13 for me. Seeing the mistreatment of the Pork chop queens made me stop watching. I can enjoy it more now that the bitterness for Denali not being appreciated mostly faded.

Season 12 is my favourite. I’m aware that even though it’s liked by the fandom it generally isn’t loved as much as me personally, though I was hoping it would at least end up in the top 5.
But when I saw what the top 5 seasons were in the video, I’m not surprised because I know those are the seasons that are considered the best of the best by the fandom.
it's wild to see some people hate season 12 bc it's a top tier season. and those people will say season 13 was good
Season 3 is so iconic, would've put it around 3 spots higher tbh. Definitely above 2 and 14
AS6 feels good and is all about good vibes, it's such a refreshing season to watch and as spectators, we just find ourselves happy to see them being just glad to be there and to perfom
Season 15 suffered from the shortened episodes, but the full episodes make it one of the best. Great cast with a little bit of tension. Fantastic winner. New angle on some challenges.
I think season 7 is VERY over-hated and underrated. Yeah, the challenges were very mid and there wasn't much drama, but when it comes to cast, it gave up SO MANY really iconic queens. Ginger Minj, Tracy Martel, Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova, Kennedy Davenport, Jasmine Masters and many more.
Obviously it's doesn't come close to seasons 5 and 6, AS2 etc, but I think it's a lot better than people say.
Plus two snatch game winners! And the conjoined twin challenge was such a good episode!!

Drag race us truly the best reality competition of all time. Even the 2 worst seasons have some of the most iconic moments like the Mimi fight and the India lie drama. Every single season has at least 1 great lip sync, one great untucked moment, a couple of great runways and always good characters.
I can’t believe we talked about season 11 without mentioning that wild 6 person lip sync
season 11 is ridiculously underrated. it has its faults, but the whole season is SO entertaining, i truly don’t get what people don’t like about it.
They prefer fairness over what the queens brings to the show as if it’s not a damn race for the crown with 100000 on the line of course feelings will be hurt 😂

AS2 is really good, dont get me wrong. But it's criminal not to put season 6 at number one. I feel destroyed.
Shocked at the placement of s3 and then right after Jack says "[season 14] is when a lot of you started watching" it all kind of fell into place lol
The thing about all stars 1, with one of the best casts ever, is that they only had 6 episodes to fill, but if they would have cut it down to 10 queens and sent home two people in a shocking twist right before the finale, they could have made it work in a way that would have made the season fun.
season 4 is top tier television. the fact that it’s not even in the top 10 is insane to me
Season 9 is easily my favorite season
All stars 8 was only entertaining for me because of Jessica. I’ve loved her since season 2 and I was so glad she was brought back and received so much love from the fandom and got introduced to a new audience. And I love season 1 but it’s probably out of nostalgia, it’s just makes me reminisce of my childhood and I put it on whenever I need a pick me up.

season four will always be a top three or five season for me; it was the first drag race season i watched (at only 9!!) and i cried for hours when jaremi didn't win. i just think the drama is top tier and it's really the first drag race season that truly feels like the drag race we know now

I think I would’ve liked the teams if it didn’t affect elimination order. Like if they competed separately but if one member of a team wins, both of them win money or maybe gives their partner automatic immunity. That could be a very interesting concept that I hope they explore and flesh out more
I think what could have made teams work is if the queens had known beforehand which queen they would compete together with so they could prepare accordingly.

Amazing video!! I agree overall, and I definitely think season 7 is going to age better overtime. It’s most definitely one of my favorite seasons and not just because of the cast, also because I remember watching it on Logo my senior year of high school and I genuinely enjoy it watching it back. The untucked moment of Kennedy explaining her Death Becomes Her look is some of the best TV ever to come from the show, and it was on TH-cam 😂😂
ALso I understand why people don't really like season 4 now, I kinda don't like it as much anymore as well, but it's impossible to say it didn't change the trajectory of the show forever. It was a fan favorite season for years and before everyone knew about the bad things about the winner, she was a big fan fave as well
Even if we edited out the winner, I think it’s still a great season. So many amazing queens that made it pop, funny challenges, great lip syncs. I’m surprised it’s so low.
This is like a double length episode special love this so much we love a thorough analysis, well done Jack can’t wait to see what ideas draw your interest this year especially with how season 16 is going (I figured that super early ball had you feeling some type of way, don’t blame you for a second)

There's just nothing bad to say about the entertainment value which is also how I feel about that glorious top 10! I might've changed a few placements, but we made a great list overall 🤩🔥
Season 2 was the first ever season I watched, and it instantly gripped me-- the queens, the drama, the humor... it's amazing haha. Definitely holds a special place in my heart

OMG I have the same ranking. Never felt more seen. I might add, I do like season 4 but the top was so obvious that some of the early storylines felt pointless. Also, season 12 has two of my favorite storylines: Widow and Jaida had identical track records up until the branding challenge, then Widow got into her head and Jaida started to grow with patience and a clear mind. For me that was a needed message right at the beginning of the pandemics.
I watched Season 7 as it aired after watching all the seasons that aired since 3 and I was originally a hater of the season because after watching those previous seasons, it felt like a major let down. It was doomed since it was hard to follow up those seasons but after rewatching the season, it became one of my favorites! You have one of the most dynamic casts and so many iconic moments. Plus you had no clue who was going to win. If you go in watching this season without the expectation set by the previous seasons, you would be surprised by this gem! It's a great season!
Every single All Stars is predictable. There is always a very clear intended winner and we as viewers know it. Alaska, Chad, Shea, Jimbo, Jinx, etc etc.
Season 5 and All Stars 2 is just such a perfect double whammy of awesome, fun drag race.

I think what made AS5 and AS8 such poorly ranked seasons IMO is that the entire purpose of All Stars are for queens to redeem themselves, but the two winners really didn't have anything they needed to prove. Shea and Jimbo were both powerhouses on their respective seasons who were already capable of winning the first time around but got the short end of the stick due to the show's twists. When you pair them up against queens that still need that recognition and redemption, you get a very obvious frontrunner with a cast that cannot possibly beat them. While I'm glad that Shea and Jimbo finally got their crowns, the way their seasons were produced felt like it was given to them rather than earned. AS5 and AS8 just felt like the Drag Race equivalents of "It's Her Year."

It's so interesting to hear someone say that season 4 had "too predictable" of a winner. I watched it while it was airing, and it was not predictable at all. Up until that point our three winners were Bebe, Tyra and Raja: all beautiful glamour/fashion queens. We had no way of knowing how diverse the drag styles on the show would eventually become. Sharon winning was something a lot of people hoped for (before we knew what we do now), but it was shocking when it actually happened. It's uncomfortable to watch now, but it really did change the game.

Wow I didn’t expect to agree with this list 100%. I guess my drag race takes are valid. As someone who’s watched from s5/6 (end of season 5) this is exactly how I would have ranked the seasons. I am very happy with how s15 played out and in my personal opinion drag race is getting better s16 looks great so far!
As a Canadian, season 8 will forever hold a special place in my heart. It's the first season I watched, and for the longest time, season 8 was the only season of drag race available to stream online bc Netflix had it lmao. The Canadians love Bob

When I watched season 12 I realized that they probably edited out this hero/villain of the season concept where Gigi was supposed to be the villain and this friedship of all the queens shined through thanks to that. That's what makes this season one of my favourites. I realized I really dislike this petty dramas and love to watch all of them just having fun with the show

Season 10 was and will always be my favorite!!! I love the pharmarusical, cher the rusical, the ball, breastworld, etc...really everything!!! I lost count of how many times I've repeated it to myself...it's a season that makes me feel in a safe place.

This is the first season ranking video I’ve seen that I agreed with almost completely. My only issue was how high AS4 was ranked.
I‘ll never understand how season 11 is so low. The cast alone was unbelievable. I mean Yvie, Brooke, Vanjie, Silky, A’keria, Plastique, Nina, Rajah and Scarlet is half the cast and they are all such forces

Tbh season 11 is very underrated and is one of my favorite because of how much drama there was. It was really one of the last drama filled untucks where every episode they were fighting. Silky did a very good job bringing in the drama and so did Yvie. I love my girl Vanjie coming back and you can tell what she was good at vs what she wants as good at. I wish she won the Shevangelical challenge and family drag challenge cause she did very good and it would’ve made more sense with her going into the top 5. I kinda wish Brook Lynn won tho ngl, I’m a big Brook stan but if it would’ve been sb else I’m glad it went to Yvie. I also like Akeria and Silky but it was clear they weren’t gonna win and I like them on allstars. The confessionals are so funny. Vanjie and Akeria are some of my favorites, especially whenever Branjie are doing something and Akeria is just like wtf is going on rn. It also had so many firsts in the series that a lot of people overlook. Brook Lynn had such a good run and I like her as host of Canadas drag race ,especially her wardrobe omg she kills it every time. It is very rigged and some wins im iffy abt especially Yvie winning on 1 shared win, but lemme stop ranting abt season 11 now 😭

Season 3 is WWWWWWILDLY too low. WILD.
The only down low of All Stars 2 was how Adore was treated, I mean, it was a talent show (she did AMAZING), but they were bullying her for her outfit that wasn’t even a bad one, she looked good, Raven Symone wasn’t very nice and Michelle didn’t help either.
Season 4 is still my favorite. Little confused though on how Willam exposing everything that went down on that season and him helping his sisters is a good thing. But then you followed it up with “how they expose everything about the show” that’s like… his and Alaska’s job lol. Someone should keep WOW on their toes, they still lock those girls into terrible contracts and only a few years ago allowed them to openly be trans. There’s plenty to look into.

I wonder where season 16 would place , there's so much I love about this season! Except maybe for the treatment of Q by some of the fanbase... Definitely leaves a bitter taste when queens are treated unfairly
S16 enters easily in the top 10. Excellent season.
I really want a proper team or house season, we have so many great drag duos/trios and whole families now with an amazing array of talent. I think a team base season would be super good and competitive because queens or houses can build teams to balance out their potential weaknesses and have a strong start to finish.
Feeling super blessed to have started at season 6 thanks to Adore talking about it on her TH-cam channel. She introduced me to drag race. Also how iconic that she stars in the two top seasons. I wish she stayed in all stars longer!

I think All Stars 5 is honestly my least favorite. Like you said there were only a couple episodes that were actually good, so I would never watch it back. I love Shea, I love Jujubee, I love Alexis, but the rest of the queens either left me indifferent or went out too early. I would have swapped Cracker, Blair and India with Ongina, Derrick and Mariah in a heartbeat. At least they're much more likeable.
i started being a live watcher around season 4 and stopped after AS4, it is SO interesting to see modern seasons ranked so high, maybe i should try them out and see what i’m missing. im also totally in the dark about what happened to sharon needles that makes her so controversial oops 😭😭
Highly recommend season 12, 13, and 15! Also just look up “Sharon needles n*zi” lmao, pretty sure she’s a Republican too and has done black face a few times. I will argue still more iconic to the franchise than a lot of newer winners, especially all stars and/or vs the world winners, even with her cancellability lol
