You really should do this video again but go through and rank eack contestants snatch game performance INDIVIDUALLY rather than wholly ranking the season. That way each cringey moment and each good/funny performance can have its own little moment of acknowledgment/reverence. Each snatch game as like 1-3 hidden gems that had the obvious winners not been there, could’ve taken it.

I had the same top three as you in a slightly different order
1) Season 6, Bendela as Maggie Smith
2) All Stars 7, Jinkx Monsoon as Judy Garland
3) All Stars 2, Alyssa Edwards as Faye Dunaway as Joan Crawford (May West and Bjorn but Alyssa’s performance was right up there with my top two)
Those are my top 3 performances, give Alyssa another look, but as Faye doing Joan, not as Joan.
Rest of my top ten? In no particular order:
Juju’s Eartha Kitt, Trinity’s Caitlyn Jenner, Jinkx’s Little Edie. Bendala’s Paul Lynd, Tatiana’s Brittany, and Bob the Drag Queen and Pandora Box’s Carol Channings. Honorable mention to Chad Michaels share at 11. It was great, but it’s what he does.
Jinkx and Dela should be invited as mentors every year for Snatch Game, or even as guest judges. They both know how to excel at the format.
I think what also makes All Stars Snatch Games great is the ability to reference things that have previously happened on the show, like Alyssa as Joan Crawford referencing being at Snatch Game again, and then Jinkx as Judy referencing Veteran Dave and even the theme song of the show was really special.
I scream laughed at Jinx's Dave reference. And I would like to see Dela and Jinx as the guests on Snatch game, although that might add pressure to the contestants haha.
I think Jinkx did show up in one season to help the queens with their Snatch game. Can't remember which one though.

Absolutely! I wish it was more common knowledge that both Ben and Jinkx do their RESEARCH ahead of time and practice the mannerisms and voices. Peaches Christ (their drag friend) has helped them so much, and prepared Jinkx for the Judy Garland.

I was absolutely floored by Jinkx as Judy. Her performance was total perfection! When you add how good the rest of the queens were -- Trinity's Leslie Jordan is such a wonder to behold, especially since he's no longer with us -- AS 7's Snatch Game is a workshop in how it's done.
Yes! Jinkx Monsoon as Judy Garland has to be one of the funniest and most spot on performances on Snatch Game that I've ever seen! She is the Queen of Queens! 🎉❤
My favourite part of Juju's Sensible 74 answer is that she's in the middle of doing physically interacting with Shea and she just snaps around and answers it. Totally in the moment and delivering comedy gold.
I always love that I don’t even fully get the joke, but everything about the delivery is just so damn good that its funny, no matter what. It’s just outrageously good.
And Jinkx giving a shout out to Dave, the Vet she worked with on the makeover challenge on her season, as Judy was just unexpected and so touching. That was a moment for me
I think she truly did mean it when she said it wasn’t his fault. He was on their podcast after it aired, and was so sweetly proud of Jinkx.
I don't see Jinkx Judy Garland or Dela's Paul Lynde performances ever being topped. They're just incredible, and what's even better about them is they aren't just quoting well known lines, they're just volleying their own jokes in perfect character and it's just a delight to watch.

I think that Bagas performance in UK vs. the World was just as insanely talented!

Season 14's snatch game may have been terrible, but I have never laughed harder at a snatch game than I did when Bosco pulled out her "kumbucha." It was so perfectly on-brand and hilarious and I still can't believe the editors tried to convince me it wasn't funny.
Bosco was funny. For real. I'm convinced more of her funny stuff got cut too

Lady Camden was funny too. When she said “prince Harry loves a good ffff… fairytale” especially; that joke would have been top tier in another snatch game

RuPaul already hated Pearl. She didn’t want to talk about her traumatic past, and RuPaul really only cares about money, and what the queens can do for him, which is really quite sad…considering how many still admire him.

If you go back and look, Darienne wasn't asked a single question. Her only screen time is reactions/interjections.
Way back on Logo, they used to upload extra questions and answers from Snatch Game but they eventually stopped one year. Can't remember if they had done that with Season 6 or not.
They did not do it for Season 6, but Adore said at one point Darienna ate an entire stick of butter and it was hilarious.
Between when Snatch Game was filmed and when S6 aired, Paula Deen was sued by a former employee and her history of racism came out. It was a huge deal at the time. As a result, WOW edited out most of Darienne’s Snatch Game.

Mary Queen of Scott and Paris Hilton will never not be the most iconic duo in snatch game. When they took a selfie together, I mean what a cultural reset 😂 and every time Mary Queen of Scott opened her mouth, her accent was so hilarious. You couldn’t understand what she was saying but you could at the same time, something very hard to pull off
My all time favorite Snatch Game back-and-forth comes from All Stars 2 and it’s between Alaska (as Mae West) and Katya (as Björk). Katya/Björk gets a match and says, “How many bones do I win?” To which Alaska/Mae retorts, “How many bones do ya want? Ow!” Hahahaha. Which, to me at least, is absolutely HILARIOUS!! LOL.

Adore as Anna Nichole Smith was hilarious and Ben as Maggie was perfection. I think those two and Jinx as Little Edie are my 3 favorite performances. I think Marcia as Tim Gunn & Whats her face as Joan Rivers where amazing also. What’s her face asJoan Rivers had me laughing so hard!

It’s a play off of Blind date here in the UK and your US one which always reminds me of the serial killer that went on it.
Snatch Game of Love is supposed to be a riff off the old series The Dating Game, which featured contestants behind a wall and in chairs, with no desk. This is because Snatch Game is a riff of the Match Game. The contestants need a desk/table because they are writing responses. In the Dating Game, there was no writing of responses, simply the contestants had to answer off the cuff to the person interviewing them. Google "The Dating Game" and you can see the images.
Snatch Game is what makes me fall in love with a Queen. Seeing Kennedy truly go all in was astounding, Bob’s “well I just wrote corn!,” nearly killed me, and Jinkx’ “BUT-T!” while Viv waves her hanky around brought me more joy than anything I’d ever seen on reality tv.

You are truly a winner if you give a Snatch Game character we can't think it could be topped again. Dela's Maggie Smith was hilarious and then she gave us another aspect of her acting with Paul Lynde. Jinkx' Little Edie was fantastic and then she gave us heaven with never-to-be-matched-again's Judy Garland. Utterly perfection.
“Sensible 74” has to be one of the times in my life where I laughed the absolute hardest
Dela's performance in season 6 is funnier when you hear her minutes early that she's doesn't know how to do impersonations

Very impressed with Lucy this season. Her Joan Rivers was a masterclass in how to do snatch game the right way. It's been a LONG time since I laughed so hard at this show, so I now have new hope for this season
Watching this video gave me an idea. They should make Snatch Game a non-elimination episode so that everyone can relax, have fun, give us a more entertaining episode and not worry about getting eliminated. Make the top 2 lipsync for the win! Anyway, great video as always!

I love the look on Alaska's face in All-Stars 2 seeing Roxxy do a bad job at playing Alaska, I can imagine Alaska's inner monologue saying "Gurl you are doing a terrible impression of me".
I love Drag Race and I always get excited to see Snatch Game pop up as it's one of my favourite challenges, alongside girl group challenges because I can save those songs to my Spotify, comedy challenges, library challenges, roasts, acting challenges and the talent shows.
What I love about Dela's first Snatch Game performance was when she told Ru in the Werkroom that she didn't know how to do a British accent then when she says her first word in the Snatch Game, I was like "Oh my god that is a very spot on British accent" I mean there are a handful of American actors that can pull off my country's accent like Robert Downey Jr when he plays Sherlock in the films alongside Jude Law but then there are some that do terrible ones so it was definitely a shock that Dela pulled off the British accent for Maggie Smith and I definitely loved Bianca's Judge Judy as it was pretty brilliant
I just finished watching the most reason season of Canada's Drag Race, and when Brooke Lynn asked Irma Gerd to give a sample of her Marilyn Monroe on the walkthrough and then she killed it during the actual Snatch Game, I told my daughter, "She totally BendelaCremed Brooke!" and daughter knew exactly what I meant. LOL
And how iconic is Dela that she's now got 2 different verbs of her name. Because when "Ginny Lemon BendelaCremed herself" came up in the confessionals of UK Drag Race, I died and came back to life.

What I love about Drag Race is the new name we say for when someone eliminates someone that's a front runner or someone eliminating themselves, we had Dela BendelaCremed herself and then we had Manila getting Manilad by Naomi Smalls

I had the same reaction as you watching Dela when I saw Sasha play Marlene. I'm a native german speaker and I very rarely see americans do an accurate german accent, but Sasha was so so good at it!!!

Sometimes I don't get the jokes on Snatch Game (for language barrier reasons) but Ginger as Adele it's one of my favorite performances. I was crying when Ru asked "Where in England are you from?" and she said "my house"

For me S7 has the best snatch game. It’s the one I’ve replayed the most over the years on TH-cam. It had 2 extremely strong performances (Ginger & Kennedy) that vollyed well with Ru, the other girls and with each other. S7 had multiple funny safe queens and the worst on that episode weren’t as bad as other snatch games I’ve seen that made me cringe to the highest degree it was still mostly hilarious. AS7, S6 & UK 1 are also up there too! I agree with you on AS5 Alexis should have won I always thought so tbh.

AS3 Snatch Game and S7's Snatch Games are two of the "They should release the full unedited cut." I feel like Pearl, Katya, and Aja were heavily edited out for storyline reasons and I really just to see more of those performances. I also want to see just the full extent of the awfulness of Trixie's RuPaul

Bosco’s Gwyneth Paltrow is probably a great example of how you can definitely do someone you don’t like if you LOVE to hate them, but its clearly not smart to do someone you just viscerally hate.
What makes you a goat is the ability to REACT. That’s why Jinkx is a Good but not a Goat. If you look to Bendela, the best player ever, she was not just acting but also reacted (EXCUSE ME, WE ORIGINATED THE LANGUAGE).
Also Jimbo on Canada 1. No rehearsed lines, just off the cuff comedy based on what the other queens were saying.
that’s why jinkx’s judy can’t be the best snatch game for me because what takes a snatch game to the next level is the interjecting/improving with the queens around you whereas jinkx was really just performing to ru/the audience. don’t get me wrong it was an excellent and hilarious performance and definitely top 5 worthy but i think i would still rank dela’s maggie smith or alaska’s mae west ahead just for that reason
There are so many perfect snatch games, but I simply can't get over Alyssa's Joan Crawford. It's so flawed, but nothing makes me laugh more than that masterpiece 😭🔥

Seeing everybody break in the final moments of the AS7 Snatch Game is one of the most wholesome moments in Drag Race history.
I haven't seen every Snatch Game yet but honestly my favorite is Loosey's, her jokes were extremely funny and accurate without being too hard to understand; as someone who is pretty unfamiliar with pop culture, sometimes celebrities that everyone else finds funny just get lost on me due to my unfamiliarity, but Loosey's jokes were generic enough that even though she was being accurate, I still fully understood everything and laughed my ass off
They aren't "her" jokes though, those are Joan's jokes, verbatim. Nothing was off the cuff or anything new, Loosey simply retold Joan's jokes. She did a great job with the voice and mannerisms though. Of course she made Ru laugh, so that is all that matters.

Season 2 had a fun snatch game imo. Tatiana and Pandorra obviously demolished the challenge, who could forget them, but I really liked Jessica's RuPaul, and the interactions between queens were cute!

S6 snatch game was my introduction to drag race. I don't know how but I stumbled across it on TH-cam back just after the season was aired and immediately went to watch the series and afterwards to binge the previous series.

Regarding S15, I think the double snatch game was a calculated move in order to collect enough "good" footage to not have a shitshow of a snatch game again. With so many queens you know there'll be a few decent moments that can be kept, while ditching all the dull parts. It's why we barely got to see some queens at all, if they weren't good or bad they just didn't exist, no time for it. Generally it feels like production was hedging their bets.
The Snatch Game was done early so that they could get Sugar vs Spice LSFYL that they wanted.
My favorite snatch games are probably Jinkx as Judy, Loosey as Joan, Jimbo as Joan, Ginger as Phyllis Diller, and Trinity as Leslie
Cher in season 4 OMG I’m like wait is that Cher 😂, holy crap, spot on with the impersonation. Season 15 Joan Rivers and Rosie I laughed so hard. Jinx OMG JINX class act! They are all beautiful and did a wonderful job. I can’t believe the make up and characters even with the little corks and mannerisms are spot on. Even if it was a bomb for laughs it’s worth watching. As long as they were having fun it was worth every minute. ❤️them all! Great job on the video.

I love Snatch Game! It’s the challenge I look forward to the most. I think it’s the perfect balance of drag, performance, and comedy. I also love how it can either be side split tingly hilarious, or bombshell unfunny.

Iconic that Alyssa did so bad in the season 5 snatch game that the show trashed the whole concept of immunity
Alyssa' snatch had nothing to do with eliminated immunity. Producers had wanted to axe immunity since season 3, but Ru didn't agree. But after a few queens coasted on a challenge because they had immunity, Ru agreed with the producers and immunity was no longer used after season 5, this way no queen was ever completely safe and could put minimal effort into a challenge (especially if a group one). Alyssa just happened to be the last one with immunity who did poorly in the challenge, but there was no way they would put Alyssa up for elimination anyway as Detox and Lineysha were just as bad as Alyssa and going to be lip synching. Had Alyssa been up for elimination she would have gone against Lineysha and sent her home. Either way Lineysha was going home.

If you haven’t seen battle of the seasons yet here on TH-cam. You are missing out. They have a segment for snatch game live and it’s proof that Jinkx is a master at doing impressions. While other queens did the same characters, she’s switched up to Bettie Davis, Liza Minneli and Queen Elizabeth and Marlene Dietrich . All of which are really funny though I also find Ginger’s Michelle Visage hilarious.
