      That sums me up perfectly 😂 I am out of my comfort zone a lot but still make myself do as much as I can. It's not easy for sure. Thank you 🤗🙌

    The flowers and views are beautiful. It’s nice you got to hike that section in a year with lots of moisture and before it got too hot. Thank you to the PCTA for trail maintenance! Congrats on passing 600! Even with all the blowdowns. Whew!

    Congrats on reaching 600 mi and beyond. We’ve been watching you from the very beginning. Thru-hikers are a unique kind of people - love how you just tell us what’s on your mind about how you’re doing from time to time. Our niece (an internationally experienced thru-hiker) is just underway thru-hiking on the PCT as well but travelling from the northern terminus to the end on the Mexican border. She’s allowing herself 4.5 months to complete it and is also vlogging her experience. We told her we were watching you from your end as well. Thanks for taking us all along with you. Carol and Barb (near Toronto)🇨🇦🇺🇸

    Beautiful scenery indeed. Extremely sad to see all the blowdowns not to mention how difficult it makes the trail, what courage and determination you have Condor. Keep listening to your body it’s serving you well so far, getting to 600 miles is crazy good. With you all the way 👍🏻🙏🏻🥰

    Of all the sections I hiked in California this was the most challenging heat wind climbs changes in weather and long water Carries. I got wind hail rain and heat in a twenty four hour period. Like you my friend on the pct it took me three times to master. Be strong. You must be a long way from where you are. I’m glad you are doing the delayed videos much more safe. Froggy out

    Congrats on 600 miles. Great accomplishment! Sadly, I think you can’t get away from the blow downs. Be safe.

      I have spent a lot of the hike climbing over blow downs. Agreed!!

    You are doing amazing even with a couple of body aches and pains. Seems like other hikers talk about the extra food carried in that section out of Tehachapi. Yay for 600 miles. Keep trekking. 😀

    I like how you did Tehachapi with the slack pack day. I've driven through that area so many times. This stretch looks really pretty. Wondering what the date was when you hit Walker Pass and if there was too much snow to get to Kennedy Meadows. I look forward to finding out what you did.🌻💛

    Happy to see you pass 600 miles🎉💪 congrats on that. As for not liking to camp in the trees, i guess you get used to that in northern California, Oregon and Washington 😂 As for those downed trees, it's a neverending battle clearing the trail and repairing the tread, but it's fun t to spend a few days each season working on trail crews. I hope you're having a good time back on trail now so you can reach Canada before October.

    I am so glad you posted another day of your adventure. I kept checking my subscription to see when you posted. What camera are you recording your journey with? And do you have a separate mic?

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use my iPhone11 only. no extra mic, though I could benefit from one. My videos upload about every 4 days. 😁

    The comments @ 32:31 made me smile . . . This downed tree section was the nail in the camels back that killed my knee last year. Those that come after the crew cleans it up wont know how lucky they are. I would love to go up there with a chain saw and help the crew using only hand saws. It's not wilderness so no reason to not use chainsaws.
    @ 35:48 My tent is still in good shape but my tent's stuff sack started shredding the first year but they sent me a new one for free that's held up for 3 years. So how many total miles do you figure you've done on the PCT counting the same sections multiple times? Ive done close to 3,000 miles but haven't left California yet.

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  ปีที่แล้ว

      So sorry about your knee. Super challenging area for me that day. I was glad to see that others shared in my misery as I passed them taking breaks, haha. I've done well over 1800 miles on the PCT total since 2019. Glad I can add some of Oregon to that now, not a lot, but some.

      Unfortunately, I'm not sure...it was a cheap purchase off Amazon. I don't like it. Too thick and hot.

    Good for you, for wanting to do this section that some seem to want to pass on. I’m a desert rat and this sure looks beautiful by my standards. Keep it up you’re doing great!

    That section was very difficult for me. For one thing the wind is scary and it takes a lot of of me, psychologically. It’s weird I know but it is what it is. Then the long water carrying is hard on my body. So yes, that is a tough section. At least it was for me.

    • @TikiBirdTracy
      @TikiBirdTracy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, the wind is exhausting mentally and physically. It feels like a personal attack 😂
