Thank you for taking the time to create this video. It brought back not so great memories. In 2014 minimal water caches and 31 miles of dry and triple digit temperatures. I got a ride into Lake Isabella and skipped with a ride from White Owl to Walker pass. 31 miles of dry no water and I only go 4 to 4.5 miles on a Leter. I figure I will do that section in early spring or late fall or winter. We had several heat related deaths on the trail that year... it was a lot of miles skipped that were not closed and it was a hard decision, but if I had tried it 2 section hikers that were not capable would have hiked out with me and I felt responsible for them. As it turned out I met some great people in the next section by skipping forward and not doing that section. This was also before I had a SPOT Gen 3 personal beacon. Thank you again for the video.

I have enjoyed your hike so much! I live around Joshua Tree Nat’l Park so all our hikes are basically sandy wash type like you’ve had lately. It does take more out of one. Thanks for all the gorgeous views - I especially ❤ when you point out where ‘we’ve’ been or where ‘we’re’ headed. 😍

I hiked out to Willow Hole in Joshua Tree and the sand was tough!

You are doing amazing. This section is pretty but WOW the heat. Love the sunrise on day 49. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. Blessings and safe hiking

Just catching back up with your hike. I started hiking this week after total hip 3 months ago. I feel your pain in the feet but I also am slow cause muscles are tight. Enjoy your day.

Hope you were able to get some decent zzzz after three bad nights. Your terrain footage is stunning and we love that you include the flora and fauna (bird fans here). All the best - Carol and Barb from 🇨🇦

Thank you for your efforts making videos. The shots of the birds, lizards and flowers are a good way of showing the diversity in the desert.

I hope your feet are doing better. That section seemed difficult because of its exposure. You found a real nice campsite. Keep trekking. 😊

Such gorgeous scenery in this area but I can see how it would be taxing on the body. There’s such a balance between sleep, food and water with sleep being the hardest to control, hope it all worked out in the end, a zero will be so welcome. You’re doing fantastic, nothing but admiration for you. Can’t tell you how much I appreciate this virtual trip. 🙏🏻🥰

Ugh, foot pain is tough to beat, I hope you're not still dealing with it. It is surprising how the environment changes pretty swiftly around you, of course we are looking at a compressed time period and not a 16-hour day of hiking 😂

What do you think about trail magic at the end of the section between Castle Crags and Scott Mountain on Hwy 3? Of course, I don’t know where you actually are on trail at the moment. I’d love to meet you. I’m not a stalker-type, just a fan. Lol.

Can you believe you are almost at 6K subscribers? That too will be an achievement. Maybe you need more electrolytes to help you sleep.

How do you think this stretch would be in October (sobo)? Considering this since it's closer to home. Are the water sources all caches?

Clever way to keep the fire ants from bothering you.

I know this is delayed for safety reasons, but I kept thinking there’s no other hikers if you were to get injured or didn’t feel well. Be safe. Be careful.
