i missed Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker from Earthrise, and i want the Hound, so I gotta find this set at some point; my SS86 Jazz hasn't broken yet, but seeing as I'm not a fan of the clear plastic he and Wheeljack have, they'll take the places of my SS86 and Earthrise/Kingdom versions

Hound is pretty cool. Wish retailers (Target, apparently) wouldn't have chickened out so it could've been a regular release, though, that part sucks. The Sunstreaker is definitely inaccurate considering that MP39 AND Earthrise both kept the *black* that's supposed to be there (and let's remember, the Masterpiece is supposed to be hyper screen accurate in both modes). Wheeljack looks great albeit plain. (Then again, MP20+ did that too) Meanwhile, just like MP56, I really hate that they went with GRAY for Trailbreaker instead of the BLACK of literally every Trailbreaker toy (both HasTak & third-party) that came before'em. And it looks like the Legacy Trailbreaker runs an even lighter shade, which is just weird. Better call the Ghostbusters on that boy, cuz that's "something weird, and it don't look good"! Jazz is the oddball of the bunch, considering that there's apparently supposed to be a straight up reissue of SS86-1 Jazz, too (if that's the case, somebody clearly wasn't thinking or paying attention). Speaking of paint differences, it looks like the black stripe on the windshield is a lot thicker than on SS86-1. I think I am gonna have to get this set; I have Earthrise Wheeljack, but I missed Earthrise Sunstreaker and Trailbreaker (lousy distribution, so I never even saw them in stores), I passed up on SS86-1 Jazz (didn't like how the feet stick out in vehicle mode and I thought I was good with Reveal the Shield Jazz until SS86-17 Ironhide came out and was like "nah bruh, you gotta be smaller"), and as I said, retailers chickened out on Hound, so this set's the only way to get him. 😑🤔🤨🧐
Hasbro knows how to gives collectors what they need. Putting 4 characters that were difficult to find for most of the world in one concise set AND including a bonus Earth mode Hound
I know some of these were starting to go for a premium like Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker. Picked them up before that happened. Still getting this set for Hound and the better plastic but keeping the originals for comparison. It really bugs me that Hasbro does stuff like this. Releasing them again with better plastic and paintjobs, especially Sunstreaker, almost seems planned and really shady. I wanted two of these sets but it's stuff like this that deters me from wanting to give Hasbro more money.
Thanks for the great review! I have them all except Hound (have Detritus) and after seeing them side by side I’m surprised I really prefer the translucent plastic windows. Maybe if the blue was darker or black on the new ones I’d go for it. But as it is now I don’t think it’s worth for me. I guess Siege Hound gets to stay. Good price though for those who want them all.
Collecticon has them out already, but at a ridiculous price. I’m just going to wait and save me the $40-50. Not really worth paying overprice for this set. Nice review though. I can’t wait for mine, I can wait another month.

@Soundwave8084 i got my Orange Transformers Legacy Evolution Jazz for 9$ at Walmart.. i know it's not original Jazz but it's the same mold. i would'nt expect to pay more than 20$ for this quality.
Even though I already have Wheeljack and Jazz I'd really love to get this 5 pack not only because of the other 3, but because my Jazz started to yellow a bit and has some stress marks and also and to have a Wheeljack in my autobot collection since all my Wheeljacks share a separate Wheeljack Shelf
Thanks for your review just picked up today at a gamestop in Toronto canada. Paid $166 CAD. The color schemes seems lackluster and the windows look like transforerms from a rescue bots kid line. Now gotta think if its worth keeping or just keeping me other ones from b4. Only needed Hound but his paint pallet seems matte finish beside my other bots. Some to think about for sure.
Yup, that's Hasbro for you. I wonder what they would have to cost for them to make them with no hollow parts and covers for the gaps in the forearms and other large sections? I miss the days when 3rd party companies like Fansproject and Maketoys were making CHUG scale figures and giving Hasbro some competition.
I mean yeah they are coming out in 2024 hollow but these are all figures from 2020-2021 that are just being remade. Even hound. There’s not enough new on him to call him a brand new mold. He looks better than siege but uses the same concepts

Mine came through the post on Saturday. It's a nice set, but even with the discount I felt the price point was pushing it. The plastic seems really cheap, the paint applications are sparse and some are walking waffles. You don't realise just how much they miss the mark until you put Hound and Wheeljack together with their Netflix counterparts.
Uhg, I really hate the grey where the originals were black, even if I also like the generally cleaner looking vehicle modes. I really wanted the Trailbreaker and Hound too! Hound was the first TF I ever got, as the big finale of the easter egg hunt my mom set up in 1984, while Trailbreaker was the toy I always wanted but never had, and was already sold out and headed into the stratosphere on the collector market when I got back into the fandom. Well, I'm sure there'll be a lot of people selling them individually on ebay etc. because Hound was the only one they needed out of the set, so I should at least be able to get animation-accurate WHeeljack. The crazy inventor is actually the character I focus on the most out of all of them, and with WFCE/K Wheeljacks still peg warming I doubt demand will be super high for him loose.

Was never able to find Jazz for under $69.99CDN, and Sunstreaker for under $89.99CDN (who also inflated to $150 since I first started looking) Add in Hound, and this pack in a god send, and a bargain at this point. I know it's dogshit for those that already have everyone except for Hound, but it's great for some of us that missed out on the others.

I really don't like the arms on Trailbreaker.. It was my first Transformers when i was a kid and i loved it so much. i wish they'd put a hinge on the arms pannels. Guess i'll only get hound from this series. I already have an Orange Transformers Legacy Evolution Jazz so i won't get this Jazz either. Thanks for the review!
@@1clevernamehere At this point the plastic quality is giving early MFT a run for it's money. I bought a "superman" style Optimus Prime a while back, from a questionable 3rd party producer of unknown label, and it's very similar. The difference was I paid £7 on AliExpress for the figure.

They definitely should have done the bare amount of research before cancelling on Hound. He would have done well for anyone as an exclusive.

Definitely not a bad deal, especially if you don't have the Earthrise versions. The painted windows are a turn off for me though.

Damn, I'm glad I'm painting my own hound from detritus. This hound looks like crap.
It looks bad, but in hand it feels a lot worse. It's a bit like a dodgy KO when compared with the Siege iteration.
