Our Val d’ Orcia Experience under Tuscany Sun

My hubby did not want to drive a rental car, so we hired a private driver for a full day 8 hour tour of Val di Orcia. Since we joined a semi-private Wine Tour of Valdorcia from Florence, I gave a list of points of interest we want to visit during our private tour. We were picked up from Montepulciano, and dropped off at Hotel San Gregorio at the end of our tour. Our driver was very flexible & accommodating and stopped along the road whenever I saw a photographic opportunity. The cost was E400 euros, but had no other choice for lack of public transport in Valdorcia. In the end, it was worth it for we just focused on enjoying the sights.

Val di Orcia is a Unesco World Heritage site with amazing views of rolling hills dotted with vineyards, olive trees and medieval villages of Montepulciano, Pienza, San Querico d Orcia, Bagno Vignoni. It's the countryside of Tuscany, which makes a perfect escape from the hustle, bustle and heavy traffics of Florence.
