Also the puzzle with the bird makes more sense if you notice the references to "Harvey's Favourite Song" in the other time periods, and connect it to "Harvey's Egg" so that you know it's about the bird.
Well that escalated quickly in the second level. First level, just a weird shadow dude and a portal. Second level, dismembered hand growing out of blood pot and murder on the moon. Totally normal.

I always love Jesse in a Rusty Lake game, so glad people voted to get him caught up on Cube Escape. It'd be great if one day on stream he just sat down and played through the series in order for a change instead of a mishmash of getting to them here and there.

Regardless I bought them immediately when they came on Steam recently, because they were way too good for just free and I love these devs so much. That thing is, it's way easier now to have the correct order, because I had to write it all down and try to download in order XD
You are missing a clue they gave. It's the song the woman liked. And the bird was the woman's pet. So you set him free, because she was outside and he wanted to be with her (question mark?) and thus the bird came to your aid when you played the woman's favorite song. PS: as lovers of the Rusty Lake world/franchise would know... most achievements overlap and need clues from other games in the series ;) Meta AF.
The way Jesse laughed at stabbing the bird is the same way I laughed when I was like 11 when I saw a bird get ran over by a car and heard it's bones crunch.
It's a small pet peeve, but it annoys me so much when people pull out the drawers in this game form the top down. It feels like everyone I've ever watched play does it that way, even though it's SO much more efficient to go from the bottom. Bottom up, you don't have to close the drawers, so it's half as many clicks, plus you can leave the drawers open so you can reassure yourself that you've already looked in them.
I have a theory and it may be wrong but it’s just my opinion: *he went hell and back for his neighbor that had a stalker and even though he sees her out in the garden he never met her so when he sees she went missing he enters her house witch is all bloody and the bird was there to witness it so when the bird said something it was a her scream because they mock what they hear. So he got depressed and that pill was to keep his mental health so at the end he finds a way to time travel her back because he loved her even though they only see each other out the window* it’s not a solid theory and I haven’t seen the other parts this, but that’s what I assume
