I have a grizzly no power to fuel pump I checked the relay and it has power . If i hold down the crank bottom it will run and stay on as soon as I let go it shuts off!!

Thank you again for the reply. I don't have power coming from the ecm when I turn the key on. I have hooked my test light to the hot side of the battery and to the lower right slot in the relay connector. No power. Do you think the ecm is bad??
Ive got a 2016 Kodiak 700 EPS. It had hard starts. I changed relays etc. Put a new starter on and it fixed the hard start i was having. Same problem developed again. I found a better, more expensive starter , put it on and fixed it. Now a year later same problem all over again. Hard starts. Seems like the starter doesn't have enough cranking power to turn the motor over. I even bought a new battery last time and its still holding a good charge also. The starters ive bought were all made in China....couldnt find one that wasnt. Do you think it could be a problem with the engine? Crank position etc?
I have a 2009 Yamaha 700 - with same symptoms- no power to fuel pump (pump does work - applied isolated power to it). Recently replaced wiring harness, relay (relay gets correct voltage and ground)and the fuse is good - any ideas?
If your relay has two powers like in the video and a ground then the relay should close and send power to the fuel pump. Have you ohmed from the fuel pump relay connector to the fuel pump?
@@darylcox5299 if you have continuity from fuel pump relay to fuel pump and your fuel pump ground is good then the fuel pump has to work when power is applied to that pin. Unless pump is bad. If your on Facebook then pm me.

I used should properly in the video when describing the powers and the ground. You should have those signals in those locations but you might not. I also stated what it means when you don’t have those signals and I didn’t use kinda when referring to the diagnostics in the video.
ECM is in front of battery. You test the relay socket to see if you have your two powers and the appropriate ground for relay to close and send power to fuel pump.
On the ground side somehow I'm getting power not a ground if I put a test light to the negative of the battery and put it on the blue wire with the red line on it grounded to the battery the bomb will illuminate lightly and then it will start

So the fuel pump will run and stay running as long as you’ve got it in the crank position? Assuming your engine is running at that point?

The pcm doesn’t power it it grounds it. The test light should only light up very briefly when turning key on.

How is the cranking speed when you replace the starters? Is it always a normal fast crank till the starter fails again?

It still cranks just won't start
When it hot it still cranks but won’t start? Does it crank at normal speed or does it crank slow, sluggish, or erratic.
