I'm convinced that it is impossible to listen to Maestro singing this live version of Step by Step without replaying it over and over and over ... his voice is perfection ... especially for doo wop : )
In heaven Johnny is still one of the best voices ever in the business. One of the few singers to maintain his ability to sing the way he did when he was young. God probably has him performing daily. Rest well my Friend. Ron--Highway Stars Magazine.
Wow fantastic superb awesome !!!!! Are there more adjectives to describe such fantastic group at that time!!!?????? OMG!!!That was a tremendous era of music . .MUSIC I SAID not raeggetton ????
I just love these guys. There will never be another Johnny Maestro. So glad I was born for this era and had sense enough to appreciate them and their music. Did get to see them live twice. As I age I hope to God there is a rocknroll heaven. That's where I'll be. For those born too late to enjoy as contemporaries they will take the time to get to know Johnny and his music . Until later Johnny, it won't be that long...
Loved Johnny Maestro, he had such a great voice , I still listen to his music often , brings back such great memories . RIP JOHNNY AND THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT SONGS . YOU ARE GREATLY MISSED
Yestarday was 1 year since we lost the most wonderful voice and person in the music world. Can't tell you how much you are missed Johnny, but your music will live on forwever.
50's and 60's music will live forever. It's everywhere...movies, television, advertising, videos.Never before or ever again will any genre of music be as enduring or endearing.
I was at several of Johnny's Concerts here on Long Island, he was the best, a gentleman with a terrific voice. Hey Johnny we all miss you here in New Yawk ! RIP
We can all relate to Johnny and all the groups he was in. He was so smooth and debonair.....if you wasnt in love when you got on the dance floor ...you would be by the time the song ended....so many windshields steamed up. Thanks Johnny for all the Memories..

One of the few lead singers from that era that never lost his great voice. And he always made it look totally effortless. By the response of the audience whenever I saw him live I'm sure he knew how much joy he brought to our lives.
Wish I had all the quarters I dumped in the juke box listening to this wonderful song at "Busters" in Maple, WI. What hits Johnny had in his career. RIP.
what a way to spend our high school days-dancing to these songs by Johnny-1964 was 50 years ago in real time-but just like yesterday in the video of my mind!
I keep watching all of Johnnys shows. God how I miss seeing his live shows😢 Heaven has our Angel, and also Fred and Les. So sad losing all 3 of them 😢😢😢 ❤❤❤
My wife Jody and I made a list of all the places we saw JM when we lived in NY. I think it was about 50. I have since lost the list and I wish I still had it. We grew to know and hang out with Les and Freddy, even went to a Met game. Loved the group and still listen to his songs frequently. RIP Johnny and Freddy. Bob Fuehrlein

That guy was amazing!

Johnny Maestro ranks among the great voices.
they only put noise makers, who cant sing (almost only) in the rock and roll hall of fame.
@John Loughlin He is one of the few whose voice actually got better with age.

He should be in the hall of fame. Without him rock and roll may have been short lived.
Affirmative, The inept buffoons who deny his entry, just keep using their empty heads for only a hat rack!.

@@josephfdanza4937 You are correct, but Johnnny needs to be in it. With the crap they have let in, doesnt make sense that Mr. Maestro isnt in it.
Probably because the Powers That Be take so long, the artists are near death anyway.
@@josephfdanza4937 Because it's a joke! He's in the UGHA Hall of Fame, the real Hall of Fame for this music
@@rem-so1ly Absolutely correct. Salute for the comment!
OMG amazing ........................the best.
