Sometimes seeing other people simply helps us understand ourselves; what we may or may not expect from ourselves, what we're capable of, and how external circumstances effect our present, our behavior, and so on.

Truly. I used to watch all the quiz shows with my parents and enjoyed them, but looking back yeuch, the fashion, the stage design, the stiff hosts, horrible jokes. Toe-curling stuff. TFI Friday was great though!!!
He was always a gent on tv, going on Pebble Mill, a horribly twee British middle-upper class late morning show, he was so nice that he brought the stiff conservative host around quickly, despite there being no chance they would've enjoyed his comedy
@@CycolacFan I know who he is and I'm familiar with his work. I actually own all of his albums. That said, he worked in the entertainment industry, so this wasn't beneath him. And he really wasn't a "big" star. Most people don't even know who he is.
