Hi, I see that you are interested in Polish history. The video describes Mount Kościuszko. Kościuszko is a very interesting person. He is a hero of the fight for independence of both Poland and the United States. He was a great supporter of the abolition of slavery in the United States at a time when few people thought about it. His wish after dead was to donate all his property to the get free of slaves and to provide them with education. I highly recommend you check out his story. His monument is located, among others, in Washington.

You see, If Poland weren't ocupated by Soviets for nearly 40yrs would have had life as Switzerland or other western countries today. But better later then never.. Poland is slowly growing up with level of life yet there is a lot of stuffs to be done still. Though, I'm glad to be back from Uk/Usa and enjoying my life here and wouldn't go back to the West again 😘

Nitpick: Auschwitz was a death camp, not just a concentration camp. It's an important distinction.
Only some of the German camps were preserved - before retreating from the territory of Poland, Germans have wiped out the remaining prisoners and destroyed the structures in many places. Lublin / Majdanek, Oświęcim (what Poles call Auschwitz), Sztutowo (Stutthof) and Rogoźnica (Gross-Rosen) are to my knowledge the only ones that have largely been preserved.
And in all respect, they need to be kept as a reminder - both to us and to the world.
The Polish genius, Feliks Koneczny, defined quincunx, i.e. five fundamental features of being that describe every civilization.
He created three categories for assessing civilization:
1) truth and goodness (spiritual categories),
2) health and well-being (material categories),
3) beauty (spiritual and material category).
Meanwhile, Poland and Poles, according to these assessments, belong to the Christian civilization. That's why Poland is so beautiful!
But what will happen - we will live, we will see.
So, I invite you to see Poland "live".
And you will see the beauty of Poland in the Polish countryside that is alive!

In Poland is generally everywhere clean because polish People love beauty of nature, they also have beautiful houses outside and inside and around them are beautiful gardens with many different plants to enjoy and to eat also. Polish People love Animals and in almost every house you can see minimum one dog or cat or even more. I from Starachowice - not too small but not too big also Town in Poland but here is magical, clean and lovely, here is many places to enjoy with family in summer days, we have two lakes and one River. Were you born between Cedynia Odra river point (14°07'E), and Strzyżów Bug river point (24°08'E), and between Cape Rozewie (54°50'N) and Opołonek peak in Bieszczady mountains(49°00'N)? Did you spend your first, formative, 5-6 years within those geographical limits? If not, you're not Polish. You're wannabe Polish. You have Polish blood in you, but aren't a Pole. Just like you wouldn't let Arnie run for president in America.
Are you for real? I lived in Hamtramck. Most Polish moved away from Detroit, too much crime. My mother was murdered in front of our house by two black guys. I left Michigan, very rarely do I go back. We use to have lots of Europeans in that area. Lots of good stores, food. I have been told that Detroit went through remodeling, and looks great.
. I tend to disagree, as children we don't have much choices. It's the memories, the country, and people that you long for. Those that returned to Poland for a visit, decided to move back permanently.
Most folks want that peace, being able to walk through a city streets just enjoying the view, and all the great people around them.
Looking at the old buildings of Gdansk, people do not realize that Gdansk was completely destroyed during the war. Russian planes bombarding German troops and defenders completely destroyed every house. All you see now are old houses rebuilt by Poles from the foundations, just as old photos of Gdansk showed. There is not much talk about rebuilding the city because it was damage by the Russians. The city was a much bigger project in rebuilding old buildings than old Warsaw. The same applies to the castle in Malbork, most of which was destroyed.
My mother told how they escaped from the bombing in 1945. Gdańsk was burning so much that bomb explosions and fire glow could be heard 45 km away. A lot of people died then.

The story about Warsaw is that Hitler really planned to completely raze it into the ground far before WW2 even started. And he pretty much did it.
But we, the Poles, being who we are, have said after the war: "Fuck you, Hitler! Not only we're gonna fucking rebuild it! We're gonna rebuild it exactly as it was before the war!" But since back the all they had to work on were old paintings and stuff and those can be slightly inaccurate, some hilarious mistakes were made and there are some details in Warsaw now that weren't really there before the war but were on the paintings because the painters just decided to put them there. And this imagination was made real.
That's a nice story on how imagination comes to reality.

I tend to agree, western civilization is European Union, and Polish government allowing German government to run our lives. Polish people are loving, caring, down too earth. Poland used to have many more castles. A huge number of them were destroyed by Nazi Germany and not rebuilt after World War II. Just compare us with Slovakia in this respect.
Koscioszko is polish hero, but he also fought in the US Revolutionary War. He was very tolerant for his times and in his will he allocated part of his fortune to buying slaves and giving them a chance to lead a normal, free life.
I will like to mansion one thing. Look at the queen of Poland. As you have dark complexion I bet this is going to get your interest.

I know that Poles like to talk about their beautiful mountains only if a person who lives there goes there to the Alps then he sees the difference. Mazury youu have similar places even in Germany and no one gets so excited about it. Polish seaside beaches do not differ much from beaches in other countries in terms of beauty.
