For the price of a single Norn Emissary, you can get both a Tyrannofex and a Winged Hive Tyrant, both of which are also still taller than the norn. I think GW screwed up the scale on it.
Agreed
Those Oldhammer Tyranids still look awesome, even if they don't quite look like modern Tyranids.. :)
Agreed, they have their own charm. Square bases.
I definitely feel they are at least a third overpriced, however they do look excellent. My Son and I went 50/50 on the Leviathan set, so we already have a really good starting point, (we haven't played since 5th edition) and it's insane to think that 2 or 3 of the new models, is around the same price as the entire Leviathan box!
For sure, I think they assume most people will start with a big box and add from there.
@@TooMiniModels Yeah, hook them in with a cheap per model offering and then if they want extras, charge the earth for them. I'm not going to lie though, that Norn Emmissary would look exceptionally good in the table I haven't built yet, lol.
@@juddery All about that shareholder value I guess.
@@TooMiniModels Those poor shareholders. We wouldn't want them to starve though, would we, lol. Personally I think they'd sell way more and make more profit if they sold them at a fair price. After all, I'd be shocked if the Norn Emmisary cost more than a pew pence per boxed model to mass produce. Obviously there are the design, tooling and marketing costs etc, which will be significant, but nothing like enough to hurt what I suspect is a gargantuan profit margin per model. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but, I'd be very surprised.
the norn emissary is so over prices, it isnt that big its about the same size as a wardog/armiger and for half the price you can get two
Sounds about right.
Pretty lame using the same cover art...
Especially if it's going to be $60
