The holy grail of that film. I was lucky to get the 4 disc smaller box set from Rarewaves recently. All the cuts but none of the music. Thanks for sharing bro!
Before I bought this , I already had the Anchor bay Ultimate edition dvd set with everything that this comes with, except for two new documentaries and the music disc's and Goblin soundtrack, also no books. Though tge DVD ultimate set came with a fold out map of the mall (very detailed) and a limited comic book that I have in a frame now... I'm blessed that I have both of these sets and payed the initial price for both......
This film is probably the biggest example for why everyone should be region free. Second Sight deserves every bit of success that's come their way.

Absolute masterpiece. My favorite movie of all time and this is a proud centerpiece in my Dawn Of The Dead collection.

My favourite horror film of all time. I live in the UK, pre-ordered it soon as it got announced. Brilliant boxset and packed with goodies. I recently watched the 35mm open matte version on YT which is a real treat, check it out! Would be cool if that was included on this set. I’d also like to see the alternative ending footage, Fran standing up in the helicopter blades etc. That only exists on film I believe, very few people have it, probably never see the light of day.
I have both limited & standard because you can never have enough copies of DOTD.
Bought this on pre-order when it came out. Unmissable. One of the best.

Glad you got it. I preordered it and was the reason I got a 4K player and tv. I never cared for the Argento cut. I could just never get into that cut.

Congrats on getting that. I didn't know about second sight until way after it was oop so I just have to live vicariously through those that own it. (I did get the standard version)
I recently bought this but it doesn’t have all the extra disc & book. It’s on Amazon for like $59 or something like that ., ok yes the standard version which is still cool to have

I bought both 4k versions of this. The smaller one has red font the larger one has green font. Amazing release.
Second Sight went all in for this title and it paid off! I love to revisit it every Fall.

That is a whole lot of holy moley. I really don't have much physical media anymore. Moves over the years. Mainly have Jazz box sets - Miles Davis electric and the bulk of John Coltrane. Some King Crimson too. Still WOW.
Talking about Dawn of the Dead regrets, my mate did a thing called Foree Fest with Ken about 2 miles from my house and I didn’t go, luckily I got thanked in a book about George Romero so I can’t really complain.
I would love to have this set. I have the Ultimate Edition DVD set from Anchor Bay that has a lot of this content with the exception of the newer documentaries, the soundtracks and the books. I have not upgraded to a 4K Player and TV yet, so I just couldn't justify the expense at the time... kind of kicking myself for that, but oh well... the DVD set still has a beautiful transfer that my Blu-ray player upscales wonderfully....

I do have this in my sights to grab at some point. I know I’m gonna pay stupid second market prices but this is one case where it could still be worth it…at least to me.
Shame you have to pay rip off prices to get it now these companies encourage scalping by everything limited feeding into FOMO

I couldn't get it because I wasn't earning enough to justify buying it while still in print. Still pissed about it to this day.
I was able to get copy after it sold out from Second Sight from eBay at the price it was going for at the time , my video store scores the copy for me , this made me buy 4k all region for player for some reason the films were locked.
I have three copies of this, two of which are sealed and never opened.
Its the absolute quintessential release of this movie. I preordered it and it ended up a month late, stamped with "Shipped to wrong country" ..i was so annoyed 😆(was shipped to Vietnam for some reason!) Anyway, it was hilarious listening to the mall music on the Rockford Fosfgate system in my car real loud lol

I am so torn on whether to get this or not. I’ve only seen the movie once at a local art house theater and loved it. I know it’s infamy and want to enjoy it. But importing means I’ll have a Bonus Disc I can’t play since it’s locked to Region B. I know region-free players are out there, but it’s hard to justify that for a single thing in my entire collection.
Agreed. It exceeded all expectations, especially after the Italian, French and German releases were disappointing. The Second Sight release was and is worth every penny.
Thanks to that lovely virus, I was able to put my hands on this beauty. Blessed. So what my grandmother was alone for her last days...
I have the director's cut on DVD from South Korea
I pre-ordered this the day that diabolik had it up. This is without a doubt my favorite zombie film of all time and I’ve owned it across numerous formats over the years. I still have the Elite CAV “Director’s Cut”, Republic Pictures and Japanese Perfect Collection LaserDiscs along with the Anchor Bay Ultimate Edition 4 Disc DVD & Blu-ray and the Clamshell Thorn-EMI VHS. Unfortunately for me, I’m a bit of a spoiled whore when it comes to collecting, so I bought the standard Second Sight 4K edition and I kept my ultimate edition sealed.
You should open your toys and enjoy them. Only live once. I just take very good care of them.
Do you have an all-region player? Do all of your viewers have one? Might mention that the special features blu-ray is region b locked.
