Those new 540’s are excellent saws! I have both the rear and top handled version, super handy little saws depending on what you’re using it for. The top handle is a little heavy (in comparison to a trim saw such as an echo 2511) however, for a little extra weight the power output is unmatched. Great for everyday use and large removals.
Thank you for weighing each saw with fuel, oil, and cutting equipment. Manufacturers like to post the stripped-down weight. I much prefer real-world testing on operating equipment.
Good job guys! I love my rear handle 540XP III for limbing and felling small trees. I've been thinning a lot of 4 to 6 inch beech and can go all day thanks to the low weight and great power.
I’ve never ran a husky top handle saw. We use stihl top handles at work trimming out of the bucket. We’ve been using a Milwaukee battery saw some too so you can hear the ground men. I’d like to try this husky saw one day. Appreciate the video!
@@TwinCityFirewood I think this generation of husky top handles are the best ones on the market. Can’t beat the battery though when working in a group!
We just added a second 540XP Mark III. They're replacing Stihl MS192/193/194 saws that aren't holding up. Got the 2nd Husky @ Woodsmen's Field Days in Boonville for $512 with the 16" bar. We really like these for limbing saws. We're never "in" trees so the rear handle is our choice. (Andy @ Southern Adirondack Outdoors)
@@andysmith8544 I had a 201tc, was pretty cheap feeling, when the handle broke I decided to fix it and be done with it before breaking again. Got the t540 and couldn’t be happier.
Those t540 m3 saws have pretty mixed reviews with people reporting some substantial reliability issues. Have you guys put yours through the ringer enough to comment on how they hold together?
Wait...you said West Coast muffler sounds better than the Bark Box. I thought the WC muffler was a bark box?? Like A-A-Ron said, taking it in and out of the SawHaul all day would be a breeze!

@@TimberTrainer I agree!
Nice comparison fellas. The 540T Mk3 has me wanting to buy my first husky. Sweet saw for sure.
@@BobbySixguns it’s a sweet saw, and the sound the Wes coast muffler makes tops it off for me 😂
I always enjoy your videos, one of my favorite channels.
@@OpenAirAdventure thanks for the kind words Kenny, have yourself a good safe week!
Nice! I enjoy running the 50cc and less saws, and my arms appreciate it too! 👍🏻👍🏻
@@toddsoutsideagain I love power of 70cc but it sure is nice to save the weight sometimes!

Pretty nice for a smaller saw! Great job guys👍👍
@@outdoorsinthe608 its awesome for a small saw, enjoy your holiday weekend!
Not too bad for a small saw. Like you said, perfect for limbing and smaller branches and won’t wear you out!
I could limb all day with the rear handle! Thanks for stopping by Brandon 👍

Ya, if I didn't already have a 261, I'd absolutely give one of those a shot.

Hai😊 is the Husqvarna 572xp olso to considering to the Stihl ms 462cm with a 20" bar or is the 462 stronger im also consider a barkbox on the 462😊
Have you tried a 5lb 8oz rear handle Echo 2511 with the WCS muffler yet?
I haven’t but I hear they are so light!
@@765Guys Does not make near as much power as a 540 at only 25cc's but for trail clearing limbing it feels like a toy at nearly half the weight.

@@KNLFirewood bark box bolts onto a 2 piece muffler, muffler cover is what it is. These mufflers wcs sells replace the factory muffler entirely.
What is the country of manufacture for the 540 MK3 ? Thanks.
Husqvarna build there chainsaws here in south of Sweden, the city name is in fact Huskvarna. Husqvarna built there first factory there in 1689.
