@@jim-friend Unfotunately It's not working for me. I'm getting an AE error message that says "This version of AE requires an installation of Cinema 4D R24 (24.111 or later). This can be installed by the AE installer." Any idea how to fix this? I have C4D R21 installed but I don't want to upgrade to R24 yet, however, I should get the C4D R24 Lite version regardless shouldn't I?
@@neilcopland6082 what version of AE are you on? After Effects 2022 (22.0) only supports Cinema 4D vR24 and I think it's causing some difficulties with lite. Have you tried to use an older version of Ae?
@@jim-friend I need the latest version of AE for the taper effect. But I fixed it by uninstalling AE22 & reinstalling again. I think I was having issues because I had R21 open when i installed AE22 the first time so maybe it tried to link to that version of C4D instead (just guessing), or my previous AE preferences were confusing the matter (just guessing again). Annoying but I think i've solved that now. Thanks for your reply, simple tutorials that solve a particular issue are really useful by the way. I like your presenting style also so well done mate. I'm having a problem, when I want to create a new file I get that some node resources are missing, and they open some files where those are missing, but I just started using Cinema 4D and I don't know how to solve that problem
Uploaded this tutorial few years ago and they probably updated it since then I'm sorry you're having a problem I'll look into it and get back to you if I can find a fix!
wow i'd love this tutorial is Adobe wasn't a bag of shit and cinema 4d would actual open when i do that, man alive a don't get why it's so hard to just open this software sometimes
Yeah this process is extremely confusing. I followed the tutorial, got my cinema 4d lite license activated and all looks well. But the C4D that opens just sais "Cinema 4D" and doesn't say "Lite". I also can not save because the save button is greyed out. It looks as though I am opening the regular Cinema 4D and not the Lite version. So how the hell do I open the Lite version? It doesn't appear in my applications folder.

that's frustrating! I'm assuming you've got the full version of cinema 4D as well?
