They were in the _Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games_ series, though it's mostly Jet as a rival and Wave only barely made an appearance while Storm got left out. However, the Rogues are playable in _Sonic Forces: Speed Battle._
13: Digital Dimension 12: Night Chase 11: Metal City 10: Ice Factory 9: Dark Desert 8: Babylonian Garden 7: White Cave 6: Green Cave 5: Sand Ruins 4: Egg Factory 3: Splash Canyon 2: Red Canyon 1: Sky Road
Sky Road and Babylon Garden both suffer from one thing for power types: the blocks to destroy are really small, so you might miss them and not gain as much air as other types would on their shortcuts.
So sand ruins does have a power shortcut towards the end where the stone bird pillars line up! There's a pillar thats already half chipped that you can blitz. Besides the music and theme though still a very mid level. Fun video btw!
I think this is pretty spot on from a casual perspective. I'd say Speed is a bit too good in Dark Desert and Power is broken in Night Chase. Sand Ruins is horrible at least in the story mode on PS2, Sand Ruins softlock was aptly named and it feels like Ruins and Babylon Garden are dragging you away from the optimal path at points. I've really enjoyed this video and would love to hear you talk more about Riders! :)
I have a pretty big soft spot for Sand Ruins, although it's probably a mix of childhood nostalgia (I have a lot of good memories of playing this game) and thinking the stage looks cool aesthetically. I don't really have much to say about the track layout
16. Babylon Guardian (most boring, slow, annoying track) 15. Snow Valley (not a power type friendly track) 14. Night Chase (pacing issues due to traffic) 13. Ice Factory (not a fly type friendly track) 12. Metal City (not a speed type friendly track) 11. Digital Dimension (after heaven arena, the abilities arena shifts positions every 3 laps) 10. Sand ruins (redundant ramp to get 100 capsules, which makes it more difficult to land the top layer of the abilities arena) 9. Sky Road (landing on wind track removes the challenge of the track) 8. Splash Canyon (redundant rainbow track that doesn’t grant speed incentive) 7. Red Canyon (easiest 100 ring capsule placement) 6. Sega Carnival (not falling from chess board and using taxi route are too easy to guarantee victory) 5. Egg Factory (hidden power shortcut with no labelling) 4. Sega Illusion (mid track disruptions - lasers, holes, tight corner before maze puzzle) 3. Dark Desert (redundant ramps after the 1st ramp and during the ability arena) 2. Babylon Garden (highest cornering difficulty) 1. Green Cave (slight momentum reduction after landing from spider webs)
It's personal preference...but honestly I ADORE Sand Ruins. It might just be the OST that does it for me, but man I love playing on that stage. It's just got an aesthetic that I really really love. The grind rails for Speed class characters give the player a lot of choice as to where they can go. And to be fair to the pathing, Power characters in general are the weakest of the bunch in Riders. It's probably just nostalgia for me, but most of the Hero Side tracks are huge favorites of mine. ...I do agree though. Ice Factory? Miss me with that.
Night Chase is the worst for me and it's not even close. If you look at it objectively, it's not *that* much shorter than Metal City but it feels REALLY short. And the cop cars (which take up a majority of the stage) make the short amount of time you spend on the stage painful. Sonic Riders is not made for precise bobbing and weaving. Jumps, corners, and type shortcuts are what make the game fun and unique, Night Chase is lacking in all of them.
I absolutely hate night chase (only because of the police cars), but I can’t tell if white cave is the worst. I remember as a child struggling to beat it in story mode and the map is just really ugly, short and hard to maneouver around. Also sand ruins, the sand is your worst enemy, plus the trick ramps are awfully placed. And don’t get me started on babylon garden. (I just have trauma from struggling with that end drift at the end during story mode) Other than that I love the announcer If we’re talking about the best though, sky road, sega carnival and digital dimension tops it for me. Dark desert is also a favourite

Sand ruins is my favorite track just because of music 💀
Ikkk and he missed the power shortcut through the pillars
@ydclutch8492 yes!
it slaps
same
You know, Speaking of Sonic Riders, I kinda wish the Babylon Rogues were in another Sonic game that isn’t the trilogy.
Hard agree,
that being said the line between the snapcube fandubs and the canon blurs heavily for me
We can all agree that, in the official canon, Jet *would* end up drowning in quarters like Scrooge McDuck.
I mean jet was in black knight in a random non main game part
The are in some handheld games, but agreed

I remember I HATED Egg factory when I was younger and now I can name up to 5 things I like about it
The thing that I HATED in Dark Desert was how sometimes, CPU goes insanely fast in the automatic trail section. Literally cheating

How'd u get a rainbow trail
you have perform a trick with X rank to make the rainbow appear
@@DeepakKumar-fi4osNot with X rank, you just need to hold the left stick down to make a higher jump
Sets tracks so futuristic and metal city and night sky all give me ridge racer night stream drum and bass music energy it’s vibrant

I have videos ranking the tracks from the other two games already! and I plan for more riders content in the future!

While I genuinely don't like Sonic at all, I am watching this out of curiosity

Surprised you didnt rank all the gear in sonic riders
Im curious to know what people think are the worst and best gear

Are You Going To Do A Ranking Video For Zero Gravity?
Yes, I plan to do one very soon!
18:30 does this mean you're ambidextrous
@@jwsdreamland That wasnt what I was insinuating but yeah I am haha
cant be a riders fan without hating all but a few stages fr.
bro said genuinely like 1200 times
Splash canyon is mid my heart
I still like splash canyon! it's just that there are others I prefer, I'd give it an high B low A tier if it were a tier list
