Ahh the Mighty Arvak, on my first runtrhough of dawnguard, i had never played the dark brotherhood questline, and having a summonable horse, was amazing, a skeletal horse even more awsome, hes a good steed.
LOVE Arvak, really Bad-Ass! I just did the quest earlier this afternoon, I;ve spent some time riding around Whiterun at night with him. TOTALLY worth getting.

You can Conjure him again and again, and he is 20x cooler than any other horse. And also, he will despawn in 5 seconds if you aren't riding him, that makes him ideal for stealth

I have a theory: animals only come to the Soul Cairn when they are soul trapped in Black Soul Gems (see, I don't think the "drop a soul gem to empty it" glitch works lore wise, so if you accidentally trapped a petty animal soul in your Black Soul Gem, well.....sucks to be you).
I have a question, how come when I try to bring Arvak to the Vale, I keep on getting jumped by Vampires as soon as I fast travel? Not just Vampires, mind you, but the Vampires who are at Castle Volkihar? Is this supposed to occur? I am so lost.

But I'm a pure warrior. So i only have 100 magica or magika. And I, in my (something like) 12 hours gameplay, I have not yet found a conjuration-spells-cost-less enchantment. What do i do?
A added note, if you have the PS3 Legendary version of Skyrim, if you already have Shadowmere, DO NOT summon Arvak, or Shadowmere will disappear FOREVER! That has happened to me before!

tbh, I prefer arvak over Shadowmere because I don't have to worry about him dying forever, plus it's so much more convenient to summon him

not dumb but no there is no way to get the dwanguard weapons after completeing the vampire questline once you go vampire you never go back

If you take the "temporary soul trap" option instead of "become a vampire", you can return to the Soul Cairn without being a vampire.
