I took a scrap piece of leather out of my trunk and made a key organizer like that. Burnished the edges, made it look nice. Cost me absolutely nothing but about 20 minutes of my time. Took the hardware from my old key organizer. Works perfectly.

The Casio calculator watch is probably the most durable watch I've ever had. It's phenomenal (and functional). Also doesn't say it's water proof, but it's DEFINITELY waterproof. The flexibility and light weight along with the durability makes it my second favorite watch next to the Apple watch.

I only have one folder I paid over $100 dollars for and that was in the 80's and I still carry it. The Civivi knife is something I would carry every day. It is in the price range I am willing to pay. I carry an Olight IR2 which again is at a price I am willing to pay. I have a Casio G-Shock watch that I ware to work because it goes through the metal detector without having to take it off. Most of my stuff came from Amazon and would be slightly more expensive than this but not much. This is in my wheel house. Great video.

my friend gave me a smaller civivi, stone washed bronze scales. I've bought quite a few knives in my life, carried the same spyderco every day since 1998. That civivi knife is soooo smooth and the opening action is slick. You just think about opening it, and the blade is out. I used it to gut, skin, and de-bone a deer this october. Held up super well. I'd buy another for sure!

I've been carrying an Allett wallet for around 10 year now. I started with the all nylon sport wallet and later switched over to the leather wallet (leather outside/nylon inside). It's still pretty thin, but the sport wallet is a little thinner. It's amazing how many cards that you can get in there and still keep it small.
For a light, I carry the olight 3T EOS. I thought that I wouldn't use it much and it would end up in the drawer, but I use it all the time.

The Rite In The Rain pens and refills are made by Fisher. The ink formulation in the RITR refills is slightly different than the ink in the Fisher refills but has the same properties as Fisher refills (write in extreme temperatures, upside down, etc). The RITR ink writes a little drier than Fisher to work better with Rite In The Rain paper.

@@Lissiedi I was thinking the same thing. I laughed out loud when he praised how great that mini razor blade knife was… and then opened everything else with his folding knife. That $200 would have been much better spent on one medium quality blade (he had 3 cheap junk blades) and one good light. You can still buy a nylon wallet for $10 and a pack of ballpoint pens for $5.

Oh, man, that Casio Databank pushes ALL my nostalgia buttons. I was in college, and already a fan of Casio calculator watches, when the first Databank went on sale. I was delighted at the idea of a watch that could remember phone numbers and appointments for me, because my memory for such things was unreliable. A Databank watch was practically a part of my body from 1983 until I got my first Palm PDA in 1998.
And that green Databank is beautiful. I am strongly tempted to buy one, but it would be purely a nostalgia purchase. My Apple Watch does everything the Databank can do, and a lot more. But I do have TWO wrists, so maybe . . .

I started wearing the Casio calculator in the 70's. Still do. In the 80's I was the road service man for an electronics repair shop. Being as old as I am I was taught to do most simple math in my head faster than many can do on their phone punching buttons,. Many of my repair jobs were fairly standard. So I could remember prices and fill in the repair form including tax. But I found that a large percentage of customers would scrutinize every number and question every cent. Wasting quite a bit of my time. But if I caused my watch to beep as if I were calculating the numbers as I was writing the bill. No questions asked.

Genuine question, what is the purpose of carrying the Civivi knife as an everyday carry? Sorry if you said so in the video, I watched but didn't find an answer.
I understand the utility knife as a box/letter opener. But wanted to ask because carrying large knives, especially locking blades, is totally illegal here in the UK so I'm just curious what functionality i'd be missing without one? I can't imagine what I'd use it for day-to-day, personally.
    Just wondering :)
Love the practicality of this video though! I've already added similar wallet and key items to my daily carry.

Funnily enough, when you showed the Casio box, I remembered that I wanted to look up what those calculator watches cost because it would be practical ngl and then you showed it, so perfect timing. Ofc, I have a calculator in my pocket on my phone, but it's similar to how it is with a flashlight: the real deal is far more convenient. Also, I've got the odd simple calculation to make at work every now and then and using my phone for that could be a bad idea, depending on who's watching.

I really like the all-green EDC. I would pick a different pen, however. My lifestyle doesn't really call for writing upside down or under water, so I've never felt a need for a Fisher Space Pen. My go-to pen is the Zebra Sarasa, a retractable gel pen that writes unbelievably smoothly. And the Sarasa Grand 0.5mm comes in a dark green with black highlights and a gold clip. I already have more pens than I need, but I'll probably buy at least one of those because it's just gorgeous.

I have had an allett for over a year now and I switched over from slimpuro and secrid. I love the crap out of that wallet. I got the version of the sport with the coin pouch. Sadly, the coin pouch itself doesn't work that well for if you use coins as currency because the pouch doesn't have a gusset... but to store some small, flat things in it, it works super well. I have a pen from narwahlco in the pen slot and it is enough for most of my day-to-day things. Will I be writing essays with that pen? no. But for jotting something down or signing something, it does the trick.

Is the Nitecore Tiki a copy of that flashlight? I have the tiki and it's great but after about 5 minutes it drops from high to medium brightness which isn't quite bright enough for my needs.

Curious what the use case for having 3 knives is, do you find you can’t use them interchangeably?

Anyone else notice the Formula1 pit crew speed of that split-ring change around 4:50? Lightning!

How have you not carried a flashlight for over a year? You need to check out streamlight's edc lights. They have AAA or rechargeable. They're amazing and probably my most complimented EDC gear because when people need a flashlight they really need a flashlight.

I didn't expect the Praxis. I bought it because of all the hypes, but the edge retention is quite low. Does the satin version has a higher hardness?
