Interestingly enough I installed the "Cutting Room Floor" mod a while back and one change I noticed was that the Nightgate Inn was surrounded by buildings as if at one point they were planning to have a village there
Also keep in mind that out of all the places to be in hiding, he chose a random inn... in a stormcloak hold. A region where no Thalmor would think twice about wondering without fighting to the death. A curiously convenient location to say the least.
MrDUneven "They wanted player to make this connection" Dovahkiin: Oh! Fultheim, I love, stick it to me! Fulthiem: You like it you dirty bitch! sorry, I had to do it hahaha
No they didn't. If anything this makes it even more likely that the two aren't connected since they accidentally reused a name because of fultheim's proximity to a dark brotherhood quest.
I remember talking with friends at school about there being some random guy in the middle of nowhere that you could kill to get a katana. Never really put much more thought into it at the time.
There actually are 2 other characters who share a name: Hroki and Hroki. One Hroki is a male whiterun guard that was killed by a dragon (during the quest Dragon Rising). The guard you discover says, "Get back! It's still here somewhere! Hroki and Tor just got grabbed when they tried to make a run for it." There's also a Hroki is Markarth, who works at the inn
I dunno what that weird glitch is at the start, but regardless I hope you enjoy this thorough investigation of Fultheim! Be sure to leave your TES Detective ideas down below :) Also if you are feeling kind, share this with a friend!
Camelworks god i love this channel, one of the few youtubers with quality videos and a good calming voice, unlike 99% of the rest who have nauseating voices and screeching for likes
This leads to me to question... who are the others in the abandoned shack? Why would someone want the old woman and/or the Khajiit died? Unless, of course, Astrid just randomly picked up those two to test us.
Well, one other time I've noticed 2 of the same names is when you first fight a dragon at the watchtower. The guard says "No, get back, it's still here somewhere. Hroki and Tor just got grabbed when they tried to make a run for it." and there's a girl named Hroki in Markarth. Hah, maybe the dragon dropped her off there.
Also, in Windpeak Inn, in Dawnstar, there is a bard called Karita. The first time you climb the 7000 steps of High Hrothgar there is a pilgrim also called Karita.
Hjroki is the only attractive person in skyrim(mostly because she is the only person besides alva with "tavern clothes" ie a dress) to bad shes labeled a child and cant be married (Insert lenny face)
There are other characters, sharing names, I know of: Karita (the Bard and a random pilgrim on 7000 steps) and Ragnar (miner in Karthwasten and fictional hero from Rorikstead)
I have a malice for the Thalmlor as much as the next guy... but I absolutely hate the Blades of Skyrim. I suppose the decimation caused by the Aldmeri Dominion has turned them sour and bitter; and I can't blame them for that. However the Blades are meant to serve to Dragonborn, if I'm not mistaken. And they outright kick you out of the temple YOU cleared and found for them when you refuse to kill Paarthurax, who essentially will be the greatest mentor to the Dovahkiin. That's the thanks we get. A cold shoulder when they can't get their way. Stupid faction. The true Blades died back in Cyrodiil.
It's a stupid mechanic the Dev's put in anyways. They come to this great Ole moral dilemma, where they put this insignificant point to lore armor the blades but they end up fucking the point of that even further. it's just stupid all around about the paarthamax quest.
the blades are gone. They had any oath to protect the Empire and honor the dragon born, the greatest dragon slayer but delphine is just a bitch dragon slayer who uses you too get what she wants. Esbern is only a historian who follows delphine
I don't get the transition myself. Blades go from being elite emperor bodyguards to, surprise, they were dragon slayers the entire time. If you ask me, it was just an excuse to have the blades in Skyrim. Rather than having the blades guard the emperor during the Dark Brotherhood, they're off hiding and whining about Paarthanax while these Penitus Oculatis guys appear out of nowhere.
I agree with your theory. The only thing I don't agree with is that Fulthiem the Fearless was the one with the contract on his head. This is because the Thalmor don't use third parties often. They always have a branch of their own ranks for anything. The branch responsible for assassinations and arrests are the Thalmor Justicars. They are not only good at their jobs but they are actually arguably better than brotherhood assassins. Also hiring assassins is illegal for them but sending Justicars is not and it would be also a lot safer to send the justicars instead. The Thalmor are so snobby that I don't see them using a third party like the dark brotherhood to do their bidding. The Morag Tong would be more suitable if they wanted an assassination as they believe elves are better than men
Undertale Trash Oh, I don't know, the rapist khajiit? Lol. For one, he's a foreigner in Skyrim, and two, openly admits to murdering men and "defiling daughters." Even if it wasn't the cat, I'd still kill him. Skyrim's for the Nords.
Well there are High Elves that worship Sithis, you can read about them in a book in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary So it makes sense that there would be some High Elf that's ok with putting out a contract
Skyrim is in a turmoil at that point and you have no idea how many times a group of brigands might try to break into the inns at night causing havoc, murdering people and stealing gold so of course the inn keepers keep a way to defend themselves/fend of intruders near themselves.
No because they don't follow you to Karthspire. While you have the option to travel to Karthspire with them they are not following you but instead you're following them.
He went inside the inn with thalmor clothing and got attacked so what if you approach him with Blade Armor, since he is one of the Blades he might treat you like a friend or react somehow or maybe trigger quest or idk.
This kind of thing is the reason I love TES so much. The fact that you can get such a detailed backstory from a seemingly inconsequential NPC, just by looking at the decorations in his room.
I would just like to point out a minor detail in the video that most people probably don't appreciate. The shot at 10:52 where Camel gets both weapons in frame by clipping in the bar is perfect. Just wanted to point that out. Keep up the awesome vids man
Aw shit I heard the thing about Rorikstead being a daedric cult town but I didn't remember the guy from the beginning who was from there!! That's actually a really good theory, headcanon accepted. RIP
I love that theory, but I think it is unlikely. There is a shrine to akatosh nearby and a child called Sissel has visions of paarthurnax, who is a creature heavily associated with Akatosh. It makes sense that he blesses the crops instead of some elaborate sacrifical ritual involving fertile women to the daedra.
Maybe he's actually Acilius Bolar, who was the only known suvivor of the siege of cloud ruler temple. He was pursued by the Thalmor, however, and as such, to prevent the Thalmor from desecrating the shrine in Bloated man's grotto, went to "face his death with honour". Or as he so claims in his note. Maybe he never did, chickened out, or just out mached all his opponents, then got tired of the killing and desided to hideout in the inn till his death.
Maybe he had two swords, his personal specialised one and another that could have been a close friends that he kept to honour his memory. Or Acilius Bolar did die at Cloud Ruler Temple or died on the road from wounds during the escape and Fuiltheim kept his sword and placed it the shrine of Talos to honour him, forged the letter and kept his own sword. Or none of it, maybe some of it.
I love listening to your lore videos, I work late nights and usually busy. You're very descriptive when describing the scenery that I can imagine it in my mind as I'm going about my busy work. Thank you so much for your hard work on your videos!
My best guess is that the Thalmor ordered a dark brotherhood contract on Fultheim, the Blade, but ended up getting Fultheim the Fearless. Edit: nvm, he already said
I always knew it was something strange about that inn! I just never looked closely. Thank you for this, I was so sure I had at least a clue about everything going on in Skyrim but I am so glad that after years I can still learn new things! Excellent work camel!
They're dead, if they're the ones I think you're talking about. You find their bodies scattered around. I believe one is near a shrine to Talos somewhat close to Ysgrammor's tomb, with a bunch of Skeevers. Another is a random burned corpse near the water in the north. I don't think anything comes of finding them though, but I only ever saw two of them. You know who they are by the jewelry with their names attatched.
The third is in a small Nordic ruin just north of the mine on the road to Winterhold. Also a good place to get an Elven Dagger at the start of the game.
I've been playing this game for years, and I never noticed this when at the Nightgate inn. But you're right, he does appear to be a Blade. Great video, one of the great things about this game is how there always seems to be something new to discover.
MJ C or why he has a blades sword and all the books. Though books could just be entirely related to PTSD. Doesn’t necessarily mean he’s blades member, could be a soldier who served under them. Which nowvthar I think of it kind of explains the sword. Could’ve found it on the body of his dead commanding blades officer.
Brandon Francis True, but there seems to be far more evidence pointing towards Camel's theory than the one you just made. If you can point out more evidence towards your theory that he's just a random soldier that may have served under them then I'll be happy to retract my statement but until then your theory is far more of a guess than the one Camel has come up with.
He is a blade or fought with the blades, maybe his best friend or family member was a blade. But he definitely is hiding from the Thalmor, going instantly hostile against a Thalmor dressed dragonborn is evidence enough for me. The evidence is pretty overwhelming even though some is just circumstantial it all adds up. That he was a warrior, has a blades sword, is hiding away full time at a remote inn and is hostile to Thalmor.
Or maybe the Fearless took Fultheim's name since he heard that he was a legendary Blades member (assuming the Nightgate Inn Fultheim WAS a legendary Blades member). And the people who put a contract on the real Fultheim probably mistook the Fearless as the real one. I'm also thinking that the "Fearless" moniker was derived from Nightgate Fultheim's renown in battle.
Fahim Ahmed doesn’t make much sense. Because if fulteim is in hiding he wouldn’t be wanting everyone in Skyrim to know he’s there. Most likely it’s an alias.
I'm pretty sure that in the Thalmor embassy mission in the main quest, if you are an Altmer, you can wear some Thalmor robes and a few of the Thalmor guards won't attack you.
Yeah, wearing Thalmor armor works as a disguise. If you're a beast race, it doesn't work at all. If you're a human race, you can walk around with the hooded variant as long as you stay far away from the guards. If you're an elven race, you can get a bit closer to the guards, and if you're an Altmer, you can walk around freely and even talk to the guards as long as you wear a Thalmor set.
Don’t forget how it’s made though. It’s of daedric origin so they don’t like it but it’s also made from daedra heart which means you had to kill daedra so it means they don’t like it being of daedric descent but don’t care because you murdered daedra for it and also fucking with someone in a full daedric set the most powerful set isn’t smart.
Hey Camel! I love the TES detective series! I have an idea for a video in the future of a quest in the Dawnguard DLC which really intrigued me. I'm talking about the Ruunvald Excavation site where the woman, Minorne, has charmed all those vigilants and you have to free Florentius Baenius. I'm pretty curious about Minorne and how/why she charmed all those man.
Wow! Terrific video. I've played through Skyrim over a dozen times now, and I hadn't noticed any of the clues you presented. So many little details in this game.
Yes because in Oblivion there is a DLC where sheogorath tells you to defeat Jigalag which is actualy sheogorath and when you kill him you take over the shivering isles
In essence yes but Sheogorath is Sheogorath. Even if the hero of Kvatch mantles him Sheogorath himself took over the mortal known as the hero of Kvatch so while the body is his or hers the mind, personality, and being is in all rights Sheogorath.
Mongo he doesn’t really hint himself being the hero of kvatch. Just references the past game really. If you’re arguing that sheogorath could only know what happened by first hand account, I say one word. “Gossip”.
very nice series... Skyrim has lots and lots of well-planned stories, plot, outcomes, interconnected plots, deep lore full of well-thought imagination... its mind boggling to come up with such intense plots out of nothing... wish I had a chance to meet the original writers...
Yet the dialogue is so simplified that many of us don't feel the need to scratch any surface of the lore without really reaching for unclear answers. A draugr dungeon without a word wall is just a loot bin as any other.
Seeing how the Thalmor destroyed the Night-Mother's old crypt i doubt that they would hire the Dark Brohterhood or that they would be on good terms enough for the Thalmor to hire the Dark Brotherhood or for the Dark Brotherhood to go anywhere near the Thalmor at all seeing how few members of the group are left.
But i believe Astrid doesn't share same feelings/ideals as compare to Cicero. She even violated all of the DB's Tenets. I, myself, haven't dig deeper in my playthrough though i have seen many videos pertaining this subject namely from TheEpicNate. So Thalmor being able to get a contract for DB may not be as far fetch as others believe?
@@OmegaDenz96 These guys are the agents of a totalitarian state. Everything that goes outside of the state, i.e. that isn't under its direct control, is suspicious at best. So the Thalmor might either eventually want to destroy the organization or infiltrate it and command it from within. There's a mod that lets you play as a Thalmor agent and wear a Thalmor signet ring and one of the letters tells you to infiltrate the DB (basically to play the questline to become Listener) and use it to do the Thalmor's bidding.
@@OmegaDenz96 Maybe, but I still think it is far fetched that the thalmor would willingly hire the brotherhood instead of doing it themselves. You see patrols and hear stories of them dragging away talos worshippers so it is unlikely they would suddenly relegate the task to an external group.
He could be an agent of the Blades. Caius Cosades from Morrowind was also a junkie - must be a stressful job. What if he's only there to keep an eye on 'The Gourmet' and report any suspicious activity to the Penitus Oculatus? Remember the Blades used to be protectors of the Emperor. Maybe he considers it a *Fulltime* job? ;P
SonOfMyths73 It could just be a coincidence that the secret Blades agent is staying in the same inn as the chef who's identity was used to kill the Emperor. But maybe not.
ok except for the fact that if you kill the gourmet nothing happens you still get to assassinate the emperor and also the only serve the emperor up because it was Dragonborn
I really appreciate how well thought out your videos are, because most "theory" videos just seem like click bait, but yours is legitimate and believable, and probably true. :]
i got curious about fullthaim when i first played the game 5 yrs ago. i knew that he was 100% a blade because of the books the sword and the comments he makes. and when i saw a build video a long time ago it was called the thalmor assassin or something. and i was wearing full thalmor armour and attacked me and i came to school and showed my friends a video on my phone i made on the iphone 3 and my friends thought i was Sherlock but i never knew about the guy from the Dark brotherhood quest line or never conspiracised why his name was fulltheim the fearless. nut i thought you came up with the best explination for it! loved the video and please continue this series!!!!
There are two Idgrods in the game (Idgrod Ravencrone and her daughter, Idgrod The Younger), two Helgis (the ghost of the dead child in Morthal, and the person Anise's letter is addressed to), and two Hrokis (a guard and a bard), so there being two Fultheims isn't that noteworthy. Neither is the steel warhammer under the counter in the Nightgate Inn. All merchants and innkeepers have weapons within easy reach, which makes perfect sense in a very rural country that's crawling with bandits and in the middle of a civil war. That being said, Fultheim is definitely a Blade. The sword and his reaction to the DB dressed as a Thalmor is more than enough evidence.
Although it was possibly not intended/ known by Bethesda or Todd Howard: Seeing a person carrying a sword in medieval times, was very common. Swords (Or daggers) were the weapon of self-defense (against raiders, bandit and all kind of people who were not nice) for peasents, farmers, nobles and merchants alike. Much like pistols/ revolvers, pepper spray and teasers are nowadays. So seeing a barkeeper with a sheated sword or dagger was nothing uncommon ;) But Adrianna Avennicci (the imperial blacksmith in Whiterun) carrying a mace is very odd (since its a weapon you use when you engange on a battlefield with armored foes)^^ Would be odd as walking around with a maschine gun, grenades or rocket launcher in modern times XD As I said, it was probably not known (atleast not intentionally) by Bethesda and i only mentioned it for educational purpose :)
I never took note of the blade Fultheim carries. Thank you for pointing that out. Almost every character in an inn has a purpose and story even if it obscure, such as our Fultheim.
kirk_76 normally they won't have a weapon equiped. and weapons near would normally be a dagger. the stores that have weapons like the warhammer tend to have it a bit farther from the main desk. this guy has a dagger equipped and a warhammer literally in his face.
Now that I think about it, Fultheim might not actually be as retired as we are led to believe. Fultheim might still be in contact with the Emperor (and the Pentus Oculantus) as the Gourmet (the person chef of the Emperor) was specifically sent to the Nightgate inn. with that in mind Fultheim may be working as the Gourmets' bodyguard/protector. If that's true, then it would mean that the Emperor is still in contact with former Blades members and may even still have them working as an extra-secret service. This all purely based on speculation of course.
That would be interesting.. But if it were true, I don't think he would be drinking so much. It would compromise him. But it also wouldn't make sense that he is unaware of the Gourmet being there, so.. Idk maybe it's just a huge coincidence, Nightgate Inn being the ideal hiding place. Comfortable and hidden, naturally drawing people who need to hide to it. Maybe the Innkeeper noticed this and uses his protection as a secondary service lol. Or more realistically a primary service, the Innkeep thing being secondary
Drunken Master Style in Kung Fu, Maybe Fltheim was a great fighter, both Sober and Drink he purposely trained himself to be as well Sober as drunk so he can very convincingly be "drunk" but also still fight.
Wow. Good find. And nice build-up. Just imagine the video starting with the last clue - Fultheim being hostile to Thalmor: it would ruin the anticipation and would be just a bunch of evidence. But this way, it feels like a Poirot-story: when the most important and most amazing clue is the last to be revealed, though the detective himself had been aware of it all along.
Indeed, there are many similarities in this game: - White-Gold concordat banning the Blades -> Order 66 - The Great War -> the Clone Wars - Thalmor patroling the land -> Sith Inquisitors - Unique swords they (the Blades) are the only ones to carry -> lightsabers - Ancient order of dragon slayers (look up at the Dragonguard who later became the Blades) -> the Jedi Order (plus the Japanese inspiration for the Akaviri and the Jedi) - Rebuilding the Blades -> Luke's new Jedi order after the defeat of the Empire etc.
He’s definitely a blade, but I think the “fultheim the fearless” connection is probably a coincidence. It would be absolutely ridiculous if he didn’t change his name while hiding from the Thalmor all these years lol
Also, Fultheim the Fearless doesn't have a contract on his head as was claimed in the video. Out of the three only the Khajiit has one, it was kinda te point of the quest to find out who had the contract on them out of the three
Fultheim's dialogue while in a fight with him is common random lines when in combat with elder NPCs. The weapon behind the bar on the shelf is also common weapon spawns inside all taverns.
it all makes sense now. during my very first playthrough i walked in wearing enchanted thalmor robes and he turned hostile. i didn't think much of it at the time (killed the inn keep as well) but it was where i got my first blades sword. a sword i used for most of my playthrough. damn i feel bad now
to make people talk about it in chat and increase the interaction rating or something like that. Also, one of these guys always plays with the sound off. I forget which one.
I'm normally a skeptic about these sorts of speculatory videos, however I do agree with your findings. I would like to point out that at least two other inns are packing serious weaponry under the their counters: The Sleeping Giant and The Moor-side. I'm sure that regardless of what's under the counter at the Night-gate Inn, Fultheim is a Blade; all the other evidence you have uncovered I had also discovered through my many character's adventures in Skyrim. Good job.
It's like you saw the sword and thought "this would make a great video now I just gotta stretch it out to 20 minutes" so you legit just started looking around the building mentioning everything
There's no way Fultheim the Fearless has a contract on his head. The Thalmor can walk the roads of Skyrim openly, so they wouldn't need the Brotherhood. Astrid just brought him there as a red herring so you might assume he was mistaken for the real Fultheim by the Brotherhood if you'd met him
It's not about keeping the killing secret, it's about delegating. Why spend the time and resources finding him if you can just send the brotherhood after the guy
12:15 no no no I'm pretty sure that when Delphine leaves and helped out the Dragonborn with the main questline the guy who takes over the bar is called... guess it fulthime
Sadly, but i dont remember (Cant remeber last time when i played Skyrim even). All what I remeber - that specific inn was near the river and was run by woman (not by Delphine). But agian. I can be mistaken by my bad memory.
Camelworks hey i have a theory but its really long and not related to the topic that this video is on, maybe if u like it you could possibly do a video on it? and say what ur opinion is??
The only out of city inn near riverwood i can think of is the one in rorikstead and the inn keep doesn't carry a blades sword, the owner of the town, rorik, was a great war veteran but not a blade

@@RyanDavis-nr2gl sorry lol no it doesn't work. They should do a cool patch for this, so you can recruit him
@@-smp-scientificmethodpersp838 hahhaa aight man xD yea they should
There are other characters, sharing names, I know of: Karita (the Bard
and a random pilgrim on 7000 steps) and Ragnar (miner in Karthwasten and fictional hero from Rorikstead)
Arthur Daniyelyan good thing there's a mod called 'the paarthurnax Dilemma' :^)
Arthur Daniyelyan Screw Delphine and Esbern, the other blades are good
I agree with your theory. The Morag Tong would be more suitable if they wanted an assassination as they believe elves are better than men
PSYlinkx5000 Who do you think had the contract then?
Undertale Trash Oh, I don't know, the rapist khajiit? Lol. For one, he's a foreigner in Skyrim, and two, openly admits to murdering men and "defiling daughters."
Even if it wasn't the cat, I'd still kill him. Skyrim's for the Nords.
Well there are High Elves that worship Sithis, you can read about them in a book in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary
So it makes sense that there would be some High Elf that's ok with putting out a contract
All of the prisoners in that quest have a contract on their head, although the clarvoyance spell directs you towards the kajit
The morag tong is dead tho...
"Troll slaying. He wants to reply to TH-cam comments." LMAO! That caught me off-guard. Nice one.
jetlagsyndrome you should probably pay attention full-theim then
I've heard of the theory... but this goes so deep and makes perfect sense. I think you got it spot on
Most inns actually have weapons under the counter.
Skyrim is in a turmoil at that point and you have no idea how many times a group of brigands might try to break into the inns at night causing havoc, murdering people and stealing gold so of course the inn keepers keep a way to defend themselves/fend of intruders near themselves.
It's an allusion to bartenders keeping a shotgun under the bars to intimidate disorderly drunks to leave.
Can you drag Esbern and Delphine into the Nightgate Inn on the way to Karthspire?
yes
Hawym nice picture
No because they don't follow you to Karthspire. While you have the option to travel to Karthspire with them they are not following you but instead you're following them.
how about just Esbern when you take him to Delphine in Riverwood?
Nothing happens, they just stand though looking at you
Did you approached him with Blade armor ?
Asorin what does that do?
He went inside the inn with thalmor clothing and got attacked so what if you approach him with Blade Armor, since he is one of the Blades he might treat you like a friend or react somehow or maybe trigger quest or idk.
Asorin oh I thought u actually knew something happened
If someone tries this, I wish to know what happens
Tried it in full Blades gear and shield and sword nothing sadly
Neloth could make for a pretty interesting subject on TES Detective. Or maybe the runaway apprentices from the College of Winterhold?
Neloth is quite essential in Morrowind. The runaway apprentices are all ded.
I love listening to these investigations. It's so crazy that there are such hidden stories of the characters people like you find to this day
This kind of thing is the reason I love TES so much.
Keep up the awesome vids man
How about: is Rorikstead a secret town of daedric worshippers
Didn't Bolar leave his sword behind though? Fultheim still has his and I'd be impressed if Bolar could outmatch a Thalmor hit squad with his fists.
John Doe
Not to mention he would be older than 400 years old or 200 I think it’s 200 but still no way he’s that old.
Azeara Azymoto the destruction of Cloud Ruler Temple was only 30ish years ago.
Edit: nvm, he already said
The Brotherhood are gonna be so embarrassed when they find out they got the wrong guy, mostly in part to not having a Speaker anymore.
I always knew it was something strange about that inn! I just never looked closely. Thank you for this, I was so sure I had at least a clue about everything going on in Skyrim but I am so glad that after years I can still learn new things! Excellent work camel!
Liam Logue you are right and I am a fool
you are a fool, bend over
Whatever happened to the missing college apprentices?
Cut content
They're dead, if they're the ones I think you're talking about. You find their bodies scattered around. I believe one is near a shrine to Talos somewhat close to Ysgrammor's tomb, with a bunch of Skeevers. Another is a random burned corpse near the water in the north. I don't think anything comes of finding them though, but I only ever saw two of them. You know who they are by the jewelry with their names attatched.
They went missing haha
The third is in a small Nordic ruin just north of the mine on the road to Winterhold. Also a good place to get an Elven Dagger at the start of the game.
There were also those two brothers who loved mead. They set themselves up in an Icy Cave, out in the ice fields. Lotsa Frost Atronachs.
I've been playing this game for years, and I never noticed this when at the Nightgate inn. But you're right, he does appear to be a Blade. Great video, one of the great things about this game is how there always seems to be something new to discover.
You can say, Fultheim is a "full time" patron of that inn.
This theory had a lot more meat on its bones than I expected.
And you just got a new subscriber.
I wonder if there was a quest attached to him but it got cut due to constants
*constraints,
That could be interesting. MODDERS!
thats not how mods work
Yeah that is how mods work
Nutburger It kind of IS how mods work. You can easily make a new quest with mods, there are SO many of them.
Blaze probably
I can agree with this completely. That makes so much sense now. Great video, can't wait for the next one!!!
Those two combat lines aren't unique to Fultheim. Other characters with the same voice actor and age say the same things.
that is called reusing assets to be more cost effective to have them in the first place :3
Except that doesn't explain why he attacked you when you're wearing Thalmor attire
He didn’t attack me when I walked in with the thankless uniform, and I was a high elf too.
Fultheim could have tricked Fultheim the fearless to take that name as a scapegoat.
Or he could be the one who contracted the Dark Brotherhood to silence any rumours of him being in Skyrim after hearing about some merc using his name.
or fultheim couldnt be his name at all and he heard of a mercenary and he took that name as an alias to throw the thalmor off his track
@@FahimAhmed-xj9lq Or maybe bethesda used the name twice. Not very common, but there are a couple names that are also used twice.
Camel keep making these Detective videos man, theyre so interesting and informative.
Joe Anthony Armas I love watching them. I've learned more from his vids than I actually have playing the game for 3 years xD
Are there any other characters that react to certain armor sets? I didn't know that was a thing.
I think I recall hearing the vigilants of Stendar will attack you if you wear full daedric but I'm not sure about that one
I mean, in a sense they should attack, but on the other hand, it makes sense that they wouldn't dare fuck with a person decked out in full daedric.
Joey van Hoogstraten whats the theory?
It's absolutely amazing the detail the devs put into these games and the level of detail people like you delve into is amazing.
Wow! Terrific video.
I've played through Skyrim over a dozen times now, and I hadn't noticed any of the clues you presented. So many little details in this game.
Okay, this is a kinda far stretched theory but:
I think you, the player, plays a dragonborn!
Are you sure? I mean wheres the evidence?
Schwarzer Tee this is totally not true! We play as a farmer you idiot!
really I wouldn't know I've just been working at the bannered made cutting logs to pay for my room 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Sounds sketchy
no, we play as a Restless Draugr! it's that mikael guy who's the dragonborn, you see
Is the Hero of Kvatch the Daedric Prince of Madness Sheogorath? (I think so)
Yes he is
Yes because in Oblivion there is a DLC where sheogorath tells you to defeat Jigalag which is actualy sheogorath and when you kill him you take over the shivering isles
In essence yes but Sheogorath is Sheogorath. Even if the hero of Kvatch mantles him Sheogorath himself took over the mortal known as the hero of Kvatch so while the body is his or hers the mind, personality, and being is in all rights Sheogorath.
The Boulder yes he hints it a few times if you do his quest in skyrim
@@wallamazoo01 Well, "many of us" are clearly not many.
This is one of the best series on Skyrim lore! I really appreciate the work you and the guys at FudgeMuppet! Keep up the good work bra'!
The Thalmor are hunting Blades full time
Seeing how the Thalmor destroyed the Night-Mother's old crypt i doubt that they would hire the Dark Brohterhood or that they would be on good terms enough for the Thalmor to hire the Dark Brotherhood or for the Dark Brotherhood to go anywhere near the Thalmor at all seeing how few members of the group are left.
Don't be too hard on the guy. Fultheim is only Fearless Part-Time.
Maybe he considers it a *Fulltime* job? ;P
Except they only protected the Emperor because they were Dragonborn...
That TES Detective is SO AWESOME!11!! Thank you and please, keep doing it!
i got curious about fullthaim when i first played the game 5 yrs ago. i knew that he was 100% a blade because of the books the sword and the comments he makes. and when i saw a build video a long time ago it was called the thalmor assassin or something. and i was wearing full thalmor armour and attacked me and i came to school and showed my friends a video on my phone i made on the iphone 3 and my friends thought i was Sherlock but i never knew about the guy from the Dark brotherhood quest line or never conspiracised why his name was fulltheim the fearless. nut i thought you came up with the best explination for it! loved the video and please continue this series!!!!
Thank you. That basically makes it more likely that bethesda used the name Fultheim twice than this unlikely story.
Eh, I think maces are pretty much treated in the same way in skyrim. Weird from an out of game perspective, but pretty normal within skyrim.
I never took note of the blade Fultheim carries. Thank you for pointing that out. Almost every character in an inn has a purpose and story even if it obscure, such as our Fultheim.
I think Fultheim getting hostile by seeing a Thalmor is proof enough. Excellent detective work my man.
but camel, don't other inn's have weapons under the counter as well?
kirk_76 normally they won't have a weapon equiped. and weapons near would normally be a dagger. the stores that have weapons like the warhammer tend to have it a bit farther from the main desk. this guy has a dagger equipped and a warhammer literally in his face.
Then there's Orgnar, who has a mace equipped at all times.
+ToaOnichu
And Orgnar is also in charge of an Inn where a blade is hiding.
Henry Lin no all inns hve a big weapon like that either a warhammer or a great sword
Definitely a Blade. Would be cool if we could recruit him into the Blades again somehow as a secret companion.
I endorse this theory.
Jedi_Mystic a drunken master, he must be jackie chan!
Intresring theory i dont agree with the gourmet bodyguard thing i do agree with the emperor still using blades tho as it is very likely
Wow.
"Troll slaying - Ok he wants to know how to reply to youtube comments"
Amazing
The blades remind me of the jedi so much.
Indeed, there are many similarities in this game:
- White-Gold concordat banning the Blades -> Order 66
- The Great War -> the Clone Wars
- Thalmor patroling the land -> Sith Inquisitors
- Unique swords they (the Blades) are the only ones to carry -> lightsabers
- Ancient order of dragon slayers (look up at the Dragonguard who later became the Blades) -> the Jedi Order (plus the Japanese inspiration for the Akaviri and the Jedi)
- Rebuilding the Blades -> Luke's new Jedi order after the defeat of the Empire
etc.
He’s definitely a blade, but I think the “fultheim the fearless” connection is probably a coincidence. It would be absolutely ridiculous if he didn’t change his name while hiding from the Thalmor all these years lol
Delphine didn't change her name.
@@jotarokujo3603 She doesn't seem as paranoid as fultheim to be honest. It would make sense if she didn't bother to change names.
Also, Fultheim the Fearless doesn't have a contract on his head as was claimed in the video. Out of the three only the Khajiit has one, it was kinda te point of the quest to find out who had the contract on them out of the three
"Troll slaying: he must reply to youtube comments"
XDDD
this TES Detective series are awesome man! keep doing it :D
Fultheim's dialogue while in a fight with him is common random lines when in combat with elder NPCs. The weapon behind the bar on the shelf is also common weapon spawns inside all taverns.
"Not a dwemer" regarding the lube.... previous video reference xD Nearly wet myself laughing. You sir, are awesome!
I never tried this, because I refused to kill Parthurnax, but does he react differently if you wear full Blades armor also?
He doesn't go to sleep because he's a Fultheim badass.
it all makes sense now. during my very first playthrough i walked in wearing enchanted thalmor robes and he turned hostile. i didn't think much of it at the time (killed the inn keep as well) but it was where i got my first blades sword. a sword i used for most of my playthrough. damn i feel bad now
I’ve watched several of your videos now, great work so much extensive information and the video is great and takes time. Great work here
Hadring: *clearly says Fultheim*

Why are TH-camrs like this?
Camel is generally not great at pronouncing things. We all suck at something :P
What if hadring says it wrong? :O
to make people talk about it in chat and increase the interaction rating or something like that. Also, one of these guys always plays with the sound off. I forget which one.
Maybe fulthiem is your “anonymous friend”
I was thinking of the "Full-Time" joke the entire video. I'm so glad you actually made it at the end
I'm glad that someone else noticed this and found it interesting, I've thought he was a Blade for about a year and a half.
"... or a bottle of lube, but he's not a dwemer."
Just saw that video before this one and honestly I'm so happy I understood that reference. :)
Fultheim is supreme leader snoke

It is now confirmed that Fultheim is far more interesting than Snoke.

What happens if you come with delphine?
or Esbern?
i tried and nothing special happened
Probably a pregnancy.
@@jonmartin444 Why spend the time and resources finding talos worshippers when they can just send some group after them?

OHH REALLY??? NO WAY HE IS DOING THAT HOW COULD YOU KNOW THAT????? I MEAN IT WASNT IN THE VIDEO RIGHT???? RIGHT????
No, but I believe he attacks you if Thalmor armor is worn.
i think he does attack you, if youre wearing thalmor armor
12:15 no no no I'm pretty sure that when Delphine leaves and helped out the Dragonborn with the main questline the guy who takes over the bar is called...
guess it fulthime
I love the idea of dressing up as Thalmor, and the reaction of Fultheim !! itmakes your theory really convincing
Theres more, than This three carrying a Blades weapon. Outcity INNs keepers carrying them. Like 2 or 3.
What is Outcity INNs?
Sadly, but i dont remember (Cant remeber last time when i played Skyrim even). All what I remeber - that specific inn was near the river and was run by woman (not by Delphine).
But agian. I can be mistaken by my bad memory.
... Are you talking about Karthspire?
Camelworks hey i have a theory but its really long and not related to the topic that this video is on, maybe if u like it you could possibly do a video on it? and say what ur opinion is??
The only out of city inn near riverwood i can think of is the one in rorikstead and the inn keep doesn't carry a blades sword, the owner of the town, rorik, was a great war veteran but not a blade
Does anything happen if you walk in there with blades armour? Or can you recruit him into the blades faction after you complete the blades quest line?
Crippling Depression Nothing happens if you go in with full Blades Armour. Dunno about recruiting him.
INSAne_DrUNkard That's a shame. I feel like that could have been a secret quest for those who took the time to investigate.
Does he say anything when you wear full blades armour?
Great video! Your mind for details is quite impressive. These detective series videos make me want to explore Skyrim again.
Open and shut case I'd say! Nice work. I love these detective videos!
what happens when you approach fulthiem in a blades uniform?
Nothing
