Camelworks I have a dectective idea. What about the Thalmor plot with the Dragon priest masks. In the ruins of Labarinthian there is a skeleton of a merc and his letter talks about him being hired by elves. Labarinthian has been visited by Arch-mage Savos Aren and we all know that the Thalmor have taken interest in the collage, only for the eye of Magnes to take latter priority. Plus, there is a Thalmor agent at the ruin above Riften, I think it's Forlhost or something like that, and he is after the Mask. Just an idea.
My theory involves the Night of Tears and Saarthal. Something doesn't seem right about the stories given about them, and instead, I feel the Nords were the aggressors. Why else would the Eye of Magnus still be in Saarthal. I feel with the physical evidence, and what we see in the lore, its more likely the elves were trying to stop Ysgramor from using it.
Camel, these Detective Videos never fail to brighten up my day. This is unquestionably my favorite series by far. I jump at the opportunity to watch these things just as soon as they are uploaded. Awesome work as always, thanks for all that you do for us!
I would like to see the ecosystem of solstheim after it recovers. The ecosystem of solstheim would be greatly unique and different. The ash forests become living areas once more. Solstheim after recovery would be a one of a kind area that I would love to see in a different game.
Those mind control spiders give me nightmares. Glad you did this video, I was wondering when you’d be talking about the spiders/more to do with Solstheim.
I'm actually a little jelous. I'v spent a shitload of time mastering illusion school of magic jast to have some flimsy level-related semblance of control. And these little guys just make one byte and have all they want.
Maybe late to the party with this, but "The Sallow Regent" is almost certainly a reference to "The King In Yellow" by Robert W. Chambers. Huge influence on the Lovecraft Mythos. Seems to fit with this storyline of madness and spiders.
You know, it could be worse if instead of just blackreach, the mind-controlled bandit took the albino eggs to EVERY geode vein in Skyrim, hunting them down to create large armies of mind-controlling spiders that could -and might even- take control of all of Skyrim... and just imagine what'd happen if Dragons got under the spider's control. They'd be able to spread the spiders EVERYWHERE!... man, that'd make a great DLC to play for the Elder Scrolls series
I wish the ash spawn were actually direct children of Lorkhan’s heart and and it was his blood keeping them alive. Maybe a group of organized Black Ash spawn became the next biggest threat and the strongest familiar to Dogoth Ur directly fed on the Heart’s power or became its host.
i liked the way those backstories unfolded, how random items i might found as random loot along the way becoming more making sense of why it was there in the first place... i honestly did not aware about what is the point of having random chairs accompanied by a bucket or cauldron with extra of some books and/or random potion in a rather secluded spot in a dungeon, fort or towers all across skyrim... now i get it... now i found myself thinking for a few second before taking anything of value from any unusual spots...

Interesting. The Frost Spiders of Skyrim can also be experimented with to become infused with the elements. What in Shor's name is going on with these creatures?

Isn't there Aetherium in blackreach? I'd be more worried about spiders taking the power from that.
Oooh, what do you reckon would be the effects of that?
Maybe aethereal spiders? Something akin to phase spiders?
Isnt atherium basically just glowing rock without the forge?

Hey Camel, why don't you find out why Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim all start in the month of Last Seed?
Koljo Srna probably just the start of a new year.
@Connor King No, Last Seed's equivalent is August. Elder Scrolls follows a 12 month calendar, 7 day week same as us.
Koljo Srna wish I could provide some insight, especially if your as curious as I now am. Hopefully Camel has our back, I feel your onto something.
Because the Last Seed of death plants the harvest for the new seed of life.
(IE, you dodged a bullet and have the chance to start a new life.)
Because the day you start one of those games in one of them is the day you spill your last seed inside of a girl.
