I got a 1060 out of 2400 on my SAT. Most colleges rejected me, but the one I got accepted into was a state college. I did one semester and left to join the military. Now, I am back at the university after 9 years, and I have been getting straight A's since. I personally believe the SAT is unfair to students as the reading and writing portion expects a higher level that colleges do not typically require. That is probably a state college thing, but I had two professors ask me to think about applying to prestigious universities for graduate school such as Princeton. Anyways, what I am getting at is do not let your SAT score define your standing on an educational level.
@seantey9104 You do realize that they made the SAT significantly easier now compared to back in 2014, right? The average in 2014, I think, was around 1500 to 1600 out of 2400. Now, the SAT is out of 1600, and they got rid of the stupid vocabulary that nobody uses at a collegiate level. I also think the SAT is inaccurate because my grades at a college level did not relate to a 1060 SAT score from high school because I had a 4.0 back then. I left school after 1 semester to join the military, and now I am back in college 9 years later and maintained a 4.0 GPA.

Today, I can do the SAT with no problem (Brazilian admission exams to universities are way harder). Take a playlist on TH-cam about math and prepare to study. Well - make sure your high school academics are perfect or near perfect with 4s or even better 5s on your AP classes. Average SAT score is 1543 so hitting as close or even better. Do activities that show your initiative - what makes you stand out - take leadership positions in your clubs. Makes sure your essay shows your personality. Are you able to balance your school and your personal life? Are you good at teamwork, because often you will have to work in teams or with a partner.
get loads of good EC like math olympiad. Have an insane maker portfolio like building an electric car or making a solar panel from scratch etc. Get 4.0 gpa and 1500+ SAT. Get good letter of recs, and do good on your interview.

Seriously? I just looked at previous year SAT and ACT papers and its just so easy! How are they not scoring above 1500😂 the Indian (asian in general ) syllabus is just amazing! These are topics they actually complete by 8 th standard! Americans should really see the Indian JEE , NEET & CAT papers! The JEE and JEE Advanced papers are written and scored nearly full marks by 12 th standard students!
