The Triple S. I would say are not really made any better than some regular old nike's or something.

When Balenciaga shoes were manufactured in Italy I could (ever so slightly) agree with the pricetag. They were the Ferrari of sneakers so to speak. But now they're mass produced in China, so IMO they should be priced in the same realm as Nike/Adidas/etc.
i mean just cuz theyre from china doesnt mean theyre all the same. there are probably good chinese factories and ones that mass produce shit but putting them all in the same boat cuz theyre from china sounds a bit unfair...
@@danielkim6751 I am definitely not saying that they are all the same, because they're definitely not. I am just saying that the labor costs of producing these shoes in Chinese factories is MUCH lower than the costs of producing them in Italy. Therefore there's no longer a legitimate reason these Balenciaga sneakers should still be priced the way they are. Plus, I've read many accounts of a decrease in quality ever since the manufacturing got moved out of Italy.

@@xKapatroNx That's incredibly lame how they artificially ballooned their prices. Maybe there would be more diversity in the sneakers that are on people's feat if brands like Balenciaga had more reasonable pricetags. Hell, even the Nike FOG's were $400 or less at retail.

You made the point perfectly. I maintain that many of the less popular Jordan's (14 and up) would be high fashion sneakers if they weren't "Jordans". If the 18s came out of a fashion house and were called dix-huit , they'd be covered like Yeezys in prior years.

I just bought the Grey washed triple S kicks. I love the defenders, but they don’t drop below retail that much. I love the triple S grey. They’re mad comfortable, bricks, but comfy and they go w anything. I absolutely have loved these for years and got them for under retail.
Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, E. Ungaro, Hubert de Givenchy, Christian Dior, and some others where Balenciaga’s pupils.
Only for those reasons, the price is worth it!

I love my Saint Laurent and Prada sneakers. I don't own a lot because the price tag hurts my heart but i still love them and to me they're worth every penny. I don't think every designer shoe is worth the price tag though.

People complain about designer shoes but I don’t hear nun when they buy reskined Jordan 1s for 2k
this shoe and this exact colorway was the first designer sneaker i’ve ever copped. hated paying $900 for them, definitely not worth the price AT ALL but the shoe itself is extremely dope if you look at all the detail put into it. if these were $500 i’d say it’s fair price. that goes for the made in Italy pairs, not the made in china pairs
AND for the sock runners, that’s a $400 shoe max. $750 is overpriced AF for that model

Designer sneakers are worth it I have designer sneakers I wear once every couple of years they still look fresh no yellowing. A Jordan you let it sit for a year you’ll be lucky if they are still in original form.
