I like that jump starter. It’s better to connect the jump starter directly to the battery. Every time you’ll get good results but things worked out well. Good job.👍

Yeah, I was just being too lazy to take the battery covers off.

After that many attempts, I thought for sure it was not starting. You proved me wrong Brian! Nice test and video.

what i have figured out with mine fti , on dead batterys you have to turn on the key first then turn on box , it recognizes it is hooked to a battery and it will turn over i still dead semi tractor all the time with no issues , try that next time

Yeah, I knew I should have took the time to remove the battery covers and jump it straight from the batteries (laziness). This box regularly starts our combine with no batteries at all.

And I believe yes it will have had cranked that motor if it was just hooked up directly to batteries

It would have. It starts our Combine without any batteries at all.

The Noco has a dead battery override where you hold the jump button or something for five seconds and it will jump a dead battery.

Yeah, a couple of NOCO Genius boxes, unfortunately the manual override is on a timer like this one is. You get about 45-50 seconds, then it shuts off.

I have an 04 4500 just like that one. It is much easier to start than a 7.3 Powerstroke. BUT, those jumper cables were really, really long. The jump box is out of my price range at $900 plus. But I think it would have done fine hooked directly to the batteries. I have seen it on videos start 18 wheelers with no batteries at all. I think it did exceptionally well considering the length of the jumper cables. I just can't justify $900 for a jump box.

Yeah, the cables killed me for sure.

You’re have to hook it up right on the battery , the way u did ur loosing lots of cracking amps on those crappy blue cables that’s what it’s not jumping it in the first try the shorter the cable in any jumó pack and if it is pure copper wires it will have enough amps to crank it , that’s also a lil trick for any jump pack , just replace their jumper cables with real copper wires and hood clamps and they will deliver more amps , must jump pack have aluminum wires and copper coated cables which isn’t good enough

Yep, I knew it when I was doing it. Just WAY too lazy to take the battery cover off.

When you said “expensive as hell” I was thinking $399. I wasn’t even close 😳

Like to see what a lithium unit, aka gooloo or something similar could do😳

This one is Lithium Cobalt. The heavy truck shops around here use them almost exclusively and swear by them. I think the reason it didn't start the truck right away is because of the long jumper cables I used. I really should have gone directly to the batteries.

I have a Shewmaker lithium booster and it will crank a dead battery V8

This one is lithium cobalt. I'm pretty sure I screwed up by using the long jumper cables. Should have been directly on the batteries.

hold the button in and turn the box on at the same time , that recalibrates the box , that box might not be putting out full bones , learn the box and yall will sleep with that sucker
