I remember my first time using Lucario in dpp ubers. I was still somewhat new to the tier, and in my career had concluded that it was absolute dogshit in OU. Too slow, not strong enough, 4MSS. So my mind was already pretty much made up that it'd be even worse in ubers where bulk and power was even crazier. Plus, nonSTAB crunch? In a gen before knock off and dark type was buffed, you're using a nonstab nonpriority dark move!? But oh my god was I so wrong. I still think luc is bad in DPP OU. Ive never really liked the mon, but especially there. But it's by far my favorite sweeper in dpp ubers. It rips apart EVERYTHING late game. It didn't occur to me how much the speed tier to beat being much lower on average would benefit it so much. +2CC and crunch handle anything it outspeeds, and e speed easily cleans up the fast mons due to their frailty. Just that one set alone gave me an entire new outlook on the mon. Such a good example of a mon that fills a niche in a tier above similar to quag, and does it so so well. A late game sweeper/breaker with all the right tools to handle most common ubers cores.
Properly played on the Gen 4 Ubers ladder for the first time today. To anyone holding out hopping on the ladder, I recommend you start even if you feel like you have no idea. Even at 1000 elo, it's actually good fun. Found games pretty quickly, and everyone has unique and pretty good teams, and you learn pretty quickly to make something passable in the meta, even with hastily homemade teams. To anyone reading this, you're really missing out by not playing this great tier while it has a ladder.
(I randomly decided to use a Claydol on ladder and...it's not as bad as I thought. I switched between Yashe and Passho berry and it got rapid spin + explosion combos off pretty well)

I forgot Garchomp used to be uber when nowadays there far more broken things like Naganadel, Landorus Incarnate, Dracovish, Genesect, galarian Darminatan etc.
I have to say that brighter color scheme on Garchomp in the thumbnail looks really good. It's cooler to look at than Chomp's regular color scheme and it's ten times better than its shiny I have to say, I never expected Garchomp to have this many sets in ubers. Gamefreak did sinnoh justice when not only did they introduce a champion that was a legit challenge to beat, they made sure that her strongest pokemon would survive that test of time. This sharky boi has been around for a decade and is still a threat in the tier it resides
Chomp has been a favorite of mine since I started in gen 6. It's ability to chip down most checks, then SD and obliterate them mid game was so much fun to abuse. Life orb chomp definitely seems to have been overlooked, and very undervalued after gen 6. If a magic guard Clefable falls under 95% it gets Ohko'd by +2 chomp. Even Unaware Clef isnt safe, since if you are set on a pure wall breaking Chomp, Adamant Chomp pushes its attack stat high enough to make a 2 hit ko a 98.4% chance to 2 hit KO Clef. Hippowdon gets so pressured by Chomp that after 1 LO EQ, it gets KO'd by a +2 EQ after being hit by the first. With a Stealth rock and 1 layer of spikes, the same could be said for Phys def Tangrowth with a +2 D Claw. I could probably find more calcs, but I mean if your a frequent audience of BKC, then you probably get the idea of this things power by analyzing Chomp through this video, and your own exploration of the calcs as well.
If you're gonna continue to post some dpp ubers guides can we get a guide on how to counter darkrai? I'm using scarf palkia and it works fine as long as it doesn't miss, but the biggest problem is the fact that sleep talk doesn't work well with choice items and I'd like to hear how a pro deals with it

Back in the day I used to crush my friends with my TTar (my favorite pokemon) sand team that I put together from my head. My dream was to use Chomp and later in gen5 to use Excadrill they were never legal in OU during the time I was playing and my friends didn't wanted to play Ubers.
