I would love to see some of these deep dive style videos into strategies in DPP Ubers, the same way you did your videos on Superman and mixed/spikeless offense in ADV. I really like the videos where you dive into the problems that hold back certain mons and strats bc you're very good at articulating the issues and it's easier to try to solve a problem when you know what it is. Great vid again BKC
I like how you talked about how things are tanking mewtwo's attacks and KOing back, it's so sad to see a super effective move do like 40. once I tried using hp fighting jellicent in bw ou and watched it do 14 to a chople berry ttar. never again
When you are the original Uber, a fan favorite for many a fan that discovered it with the first movie .......... only for your video to be shorter than the one on Ho-Oh using Protect
Mewtwo is easily my favourite Uber, since gen 3 it has this really unique and relevant role virtue to it’s great stat distribution and endless movepool. It’s been long, long outclassed as the undisputed strongest pokemon. Now, it’s a swiss army knife that’s never instantly overwhelming, but rewards good momentum and can plug holes no other pokemon can. The fact it’s still relevant in gen 9 speaks volumes to it’s set diversity and potential this pokemon has.
Older Generations dont have suspect tests. Those Generations were concluded and Pokémon stay with their positions. Thats why Clefable is still ranked uu. There are exceptions but only with bans if a meta completely relies on one Pokémon like for example Dugtrio (eventho he was banned indirectly)
no, definitely not, aside from a sleep ban. if I had to pick one pokemon, it'd be salamence, but I don't think anything besides sleep should be changed.
@ he said should have MORE. that means he thought there already were suspect tests about this generation but as i said there arent usual suspect tests in older Generations besides gamechanging things like op abilities or sleep clauses and stuff
40:32 "I hope to get Baton Pass removed from ubers at some point." A true hero, BKC. I thought Baton Pass was dumb 15 years ago when I was playing DPP ubers at the time, before people bitched about it in... BW(?). Baton Pass splinters the metagame imo into two camps of teams that are mutually exclusive - those that can fight BP and those that can fight everything else. Maybe there's some solution to it though and I just didn't find it. More than that though, Baton Pass just isn't fun to play against. Reducing the game to setplay is boring. Pokemon is at its best when there's some degree of prediction in play, and BP isn't about that life. I mean... there is some work to be done - You look for an opening in your opponent's team and then start the chain but there's no dynamism to the play. You win or lose once the chain starts and there's no opportunity for smart, adaptive play from either side. It needlessly simplifies what can be an otherwise interesting game. At the time I theorymoned (privately) a Mew ban as the best course as the chains really lose their consistency in ubers without its flexibility (move of choice to pass), Taunt, and bulk (Smeargle's too soft) and because move bans really weren't a thing at the time. In retrospect, a Baton Pass ban is probably the better choice. None of Mew's other sets are a problem at all, and nipping Baton Pass directly *now* has working precedent.
So BKC and friends, what do we think the next Uber to fall to OU will be with BDSP? Darkrai? Maybe genesect will finally come down? Perhaps a deoxys form like in natdex
Discord Bot the MVP for letting me know about this

these in-depth individual pokemon analyses are fantastic
agreed
BKC: I want to see more mewtwo in the upcoming DPP tournament.
*makes counter team*
Lol, I watched the FSG video about Mewtwo earlier today so I'm pretty hyped for this!
that was before he started writing for fsg
Mewtwo: I really want a fifth move slot

Lack of STAB super effective targets on them is a damper. Or using it's Stab in general
God, the amount of sadness behind that “never again” is immense.
Should've used energy ball Jellicent, I'm told it's quite rage inducing

Shoutout to the guy that commented on the last video saying he saw 6 Mewtwo in the team builder for giving me a sneak peak💯
Sweet, I was hoping for another DPP Ubers vid today, addicted to these.
When's the Ariados video coming? :]
Okay unironically, yes this and parasect
Do you think Gen 4 should have more suspect tests? If so, which mons would you have tested?
Older Generations dont have suspect tests. Those Generations were concluded and Pokémon stay with their positions. Thats why Clefable is still ranked uu.

@@BKCplaysPokemonwhy Mance just in general or is a Banded set more crazy than I thought?
These videos are great! I’d love to hear more about specific Pokémon in DPP Ubers!
its this time of the year already
dpp ubers again :)
i think mew2 is the gengar of ubers
Good vid, I don't use him at all but I think the Wisp set is the hardest to deal with
Love the vid man thanks for the analysis
This will be nice since mewtwo is entirely a swiss army knife in dpp
Mewtwo is paying for what it did in gen 1 lol
Any chance you’d continue the why ___ is good in adv OU series?
He's in a dpp ubers spree, he cannot be stopped
@@quimartolas12 and one day he will have done an equivalent spree for every format, ending 80 years of youtube with an analysis of weezing in rby zu.
@@quimartolas12 its because this month had dpp ubers as one of the Ruins of Alph spotlight ladders.
Does Sub 3 attacks run Leftys? Seems like a good item for it but I get sticking with E Belt
I thought a pokemon with a billion sets would have a longer video

blessed be his name

NOTIFIACATION SQUAD
I was waiting for this

Darkrai and genesect are for sure staying in Ubers. If something drops, it will be cinderace
Darkrai is one of the most broken pokemon in the entire gen. It's the last thing that would ever come off DPP Ubers.
You forgot one set: the bulky, trick room, iron ball Mewtwo
needs to be played alongside specs gyarados for maximum effect
@@IschmarVI does this reference something specific?
Thank god BKC
DPPt Mewtwo is the coolest Mon in the tier
